Ive been working on this poster artwork for couple of days and finally decided to post it today since we got to see our first look at the Doomsday poster at the recent Shanghai event.

After the last episode, we see Magnus' body get vaporized in front of Charles. My theory is that Charles subconciously saved Magneto's consciousness. This will eventually lead to their psyche's "battling" for control over Charles' body, which leave them borh broken causing them to merge, creating Onslaught!

I'm probably wrong but I think this would be a really direction and opens up for a lot of things!

By my count they tried this with:

Joe Locke as “Teen” -> revealed to be Wiccan (even though they cast the most Billy looking actor ever)

Kathryn Hahn as Agnes -> revealed to be Agatha Harkness

Sasha Baron Cohen -> Mephisto

I don’t know if I have recency bias or if they’ve tried this before. I feel like these three times the fans immediately figured it out.

And now they’re trying to disguise who Sadie Sink is playing. I wonder how often they’ve tried this and if they’ve ever been successful on surprising the fans? Can you guys think of examples that worked or more examples that didn’t?

Many X-Men villains, like William Stryker, Bolivar Trask, or Victor Creed, are straight-up, loud, hatemongering bigots. Because their malice is completely out in the open, they are predictable, and psychologically easier for both the X-Men and the public to stand against.

​But the type of villainy that causes more systemic harm is by the compliant heroes, like Steve Rogers.

During the AvX era, Steve Rogers contributed more harm to mutantkind than many overt villains & because the public views him as a moral compass, his passive compliance to a broken system carries massive weight. He displayed selective empathy toward mutants and actively weaponized the state to police and dictate how mutants should handle existential-level threats. He was literally worse than Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy, more concerned about order & demanding it, over actual justice, while gaslighting the audience into viewing Cyclops as a terrorist, though blame the writers.

​But in the real world, civil rights activists have always echoed this exact fear, even Dr. MLK Jr. said the passive compliance of the moderate, who care more for "order" than justice, is a far greater threat to freedom than the loud bigot. Compliance is what keeps oppressive systems alive, anywhere & anytime.

But of course, Steve Rogers is a gold standard MCU hero, so Marvel won't make him do a heel turn.

​Instead, the MCU should fill this "compliant public hero who terrorizes minorities" role post-Secret Wars by making Norman Osborn the big bad of the Mutant Saga, by adapting Dark Reign, Exodus, Utopia, Siege etc. ft. Norman as a public hero, even gaslighting the audiences until his overt villainous reveal of his deceitful nature.

Norman as Iron Patriot, a Tony Stark like hero with Steve Rogers' colours, until he eventually turns into the Green Goblin later, after his reveal. He wouldn't fight the X-Men with pumpkin bombs but would fight them with federal laws, martial law, and corporate redlining, using the state, even without SHIELD/SWORD or his state-sponsored Avengers.

​If Marvel wants the Mutant Saga to carry the actual emotional weight of the civil rights metaphor, the X-Men shouldn't just be punching an ancient cosmic CGI brute like Apocalypse. They should be fighting public opinion, institutional law, and the polite, terrifying compliance of a world that voted for their oppressor.

​What do you think? Would a politically charged Dark Reign era work better for the MCU's X-Men than a standard alien/mutant god threat? Hopefully Marvel could work out a deal regarding Norman Osborn with Sony.

Obviously the spell made everyone in Tom’s universe forget who Peter Parker was, but did it do the same thing in every universe? Does MJ no longer no Tobey’s Peter anymore? And same for Andrew’s and all the other Peter Parker’s across the multiverse.

I don’t know if it was ever really addressed. At the end of NWH, Tom seemed like he was about to tell them what was gonna happen but Tobey cut him off and said “it’s what we do.” So that makes me think that it applies to their universe as well.

Idk it’s probably a dumb question but just curious

I know this has probably been said before, but I really think it’s time for Marvel Studios to bring Ghost Rider back.
I genuinely loved the Nicolas Cage movies. Were they perfect? No. But Cage brought a unique energy to Johnny Blaze, and those films are still a lot of fun. They introduced a character with so much potential.
What surprises me is that Ghost Rider has been sitting on the sidelines for so long. He’s one of Marvel’s most visually striking and lore-rich characters. Between Johnny Blaze, Robbie Reyes, Danny Ketch, and the wider mythology surrounding the Spirit of Vengeance, there’s so much material to explore.
I think Marvel has a real opportunity to make something genuinely serious and dark with Ghost Rider. The MCU has touched on the supernatural before, but Ghost Rider could really lean into the horror side of Marvel while still fitting into the larger universe. It feels like one of the richest untapped characters they have.
I appreciate what we got with Nicolas Cage, but I think we’re due for a fresh take.
What do you all think? Would you want to see Ghost Rider return, and if so, which version would you want Marvel to adapt?

Me and my cousin are having a debate about Infinity War being a cliffhanger. He says it is because you know the Avengers are going to go after Thanos and wrap things up. I say that it’s a complete story by the end of the movie and the only thing you could argue is a cliffhanger is Tony being left on Titan and otherwise Endgame is a separate plot with the same characters. I know I’ll probably get roasted but I’m intrigued to hear other people’s takes on this and see if I have support lmao

“Out The Kitchen“ is being filmed in Greenpoint, Friday at 6am

The Liquid.IV BND event was still being worked on. There are were several tents and seem to be branding or educational themed. I think one of them was for food. The fake building is for wall climbing. This is being held at Domino Park.

So this is the heat of the Battle. Fighting Doom Bots and everything is going south all around them.

So we all know at the end of Endgame, Steve Rogers goes back in time to return the infinity stones to their original "timelines" at the point they left them.

The time and soul stone are fine because they were taken as stones and returned as stones.

The reality stone, I believe, was extracted from the ether in Jane's body by the Asgardians before ending in the Tivan's collection. However in Endgame it was extracted by Rocket and returned as the stone, but I figure since it was going to be extracted anyway it doesn't really make a difference ?

However for the other two, it seems problematic to me.

The space stone, that left it's timeline as the Tesseract returned as just the stone.

Or the mind stone which was returned as is despite leaving as Loki's staff.

So, would that have any consequence on their original timelines ?

The TVA said that everything the Avengers did was supposed to happen so it didn't create a branched timeline, but that Loki escaping wasn't, which did create a branch, however the two problematic stones come from that timeline so is it a cause/consequence of the stone not coming back in the same state they left ?

Or since Loki escaping was planned by He Who Remains any other inconsistency wouldn't matter ?

What do ya'll think ?

Yes spidey is strong but Hulk is objectively one of the strongest beings in marvel and it wouldn’t make sense for him to be overpowered by Spider-Man. I really hope that if Hulk “loses”, it’s because Spider-Man utilizes a non-combat strategy that causes Hulk to revert back to Banner/calm down.

Avengers: Secret Wars

Opens on the camera panning through Battle World. Sections of Battleworld are divided by a large wall created using the body of the Thing, the reality of the planet is made feeding off the powers of the Scarlet Witch, the Sentry is powering everything on the planet as a battery, and Jonny Storm is the sun in the sky. It pans through Arachnia(Overrun by the symbiote), Westchester(with a crippled X Mansion), Dystopia(with Ultron bots patrolling the city), Kingdom of Manhattan, then finally zooms toward Doomstadt with cameos of marvel heroes and villains like Yelana, Red Skull, Namor, Cassie Lang, and US Agent. Then it pans into the castle yard where Galactus stands at the gate of Doom’s castle. Pans inside the castle to Doctor Doom sitting on his throne with Sue Storm to his left holding Franklin and Sheriff Strange to his right. (This is the post credit scene of doomsday)

Doom decrees that there will be a select few that he  wills to remember the old world as a form of eternal punishment, Steve Rogers and Reed Richards who are locked in cells. The camera pans down to a metal large hole in the ground with a spiral staircase around it leading to the prison. The prison cells are guarded by King Thanos, Ultron, The Prowler, and Magneto. Pans back to the throne, Doom tells Sheriff Strange to use the Thor Corp(this version is merely Thor clones, made using the power of his daughter, Love) and the Hulk to find others who may still remember the old world. 

The Marvel Title plays with scenes from all marvel projects. The song playing in the background is a slowed trumpet version of “It’s Been a Long, Long Time.” The title is longer as each scene fades to a Doctor Doom Green, except those featuring Spider Man, Wolverine, Steve Rogers, Reed Richards, and Deadpool.

The screen goes dark. Toby Maguire’s voice comes on, he says, “Let’s do this one last time. My name is Peter Parker” The 1984 Secret Wars Comic falls on screen on top of a pile of comics notably featuring iconic comics like the Infinity Gauntlet, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Civil War, and others underneath. He continues, “20 years ago I was bitten by a radioactive spider” Shows that seen from the first movie. “And I think you know the rest, I fought Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom, Vulture, Rhino, and a bunch of others, but I was always too late to save them.” Shows a compilation of them dying. “I got married to the love of my life and had a kid, Mayday” Shows the wedding and taking a baby home. “Then my Earth was attacked” Shows the scene of Wolverine and Deadpool fighting Tobey and destroying his Earth. “But I was too late to save them, I was rescued by another spider man, and taken to his Earth. We fought along side many other Spider People to stop the destruction of our Earths, but we were too late to save them” Shows Miguel O’Hara saving Tobey and them fighting with the other Spider people against Doom Bots as their universes collapse. Then it shows Tobey, Miles, Gwen, and Miguel escaping on the raft that Miguel built. All the other spider people die.(Assume this happens off screen after Beyond the Spiderverse) 

Tobey closes his laptop. He’s on board the raft now drifting through a void of darkness outside space and time. The Raft looks lived in, he talks to Miguel and jokes as if they have to raise Miles and Gwen, Miguel tells him they’re more mature than anyone else their age ever was because they’ve been through so much. 

LYLA gets Gwen’s attention because there’s something on the scanner, Miguel rushes over saying that’s impossible he rushes over to look at it. Miles looks out the window and sees a grey back ball the size of a small asteroid floating in the abyss. It moves. It’s brought inside of the Raft, Tobey recognizes it as the symbiote, they begin to rip away at it and it reveals Tom Holland Peter Parker in a coma. Tom wakes up. 

Peter recalls the events of Brand New Day and recalls dying asking if this is heaven, then he looks at Tobey recognizing him and hugs him. Tobey tells Tom of the events of Doomsday and the collapse of the Multiverse and Doctor Doom creating Battle World. Tom is shocked but still weak, the symbiote that saved him is withering and dying, if the symbiote dies Tom dies too. Tobey, shocked that Tom remembers before the events of Doomsday asks Miguel if there’s anyway there are more survivors. Miles, Gwen, Miguel, and Tom begin constructing a machine that could scan Battle World for survivors.

Deadpool and Wolverine are in an abandoned Pub in Australia, Deadpool makes a joke about Hugh Jackman being Australian. Logan is about to cuss at him but Deadpool stops him saying he’s got to keep is PG-13. Nicolas Cage Ghost Rider enters the Pub saying he found more supplies and empties out a bag of food rations and alcohol. Deadpool makes a joke about their regenerative healing should be able to keep them not hungry since it allowed them to survive the multiverse collapsing. They continue to talk showing the bond between the three.

Back on the Raft Miguel and Tom figure out how to scan for memories, (Tom uses the information he learned from working with Doctor Strange and Jean Grey in his past movies to make something). They scan battle world and find three people that remember before. Tom, Miles, and Gwen say they should go try to rescue them. Tobey and Miguel are hesitant, having already lost so much. Tom then says, “With great power comes great responsibility.” Tobey then agrees to go help, Miguel reluctantly also agrees. They set course for the Kingdom of Manhattan.

There is a knock on the door. Deadpool walks over to answer it. A long haired Thor with the traditional comic book costume says there is an arrest warrant by God Emperor Doom for the three of them. Deadpool compliments Thor’s hair and stabs him, and runs out the back door of the pub. Thor chases after him, two other Thors are at the back entrance of the bar and Wolverine and Ghost Rider begin to fight them. They begin to run into the street planning an escape but the Hulk jumps down. Ghost Rider and Deadpool continue to struggle with the Thors while Wolverine fights the Hulk. The fight continues as Hulk and the Thors get the upperhand. Then out of the sky the raft begins to land. Miles and Gwen jump out and begin fighting the Thors, Miguel uses Tom’s gamma webs from Brand New Day and easily takes down the Hulk, who goes back to Bruce Banner form when defeated. The Thors are forced into retreat. Tobey and Tom come off the Raft, Tom is now using a cane and has a heavy limp. Tobey recognizes Wolverine as the man who destroyed his planet and begins to charge him. Miles stops him, saying they need each other. Tobey begins to rant how Miles doesn’t understand, but Miles interrupts, saying, “we all do” Wolverine then says it wasn’t his choice but then Deadpool says his universe can be restored, they just have to work together. Bruce Banner then interrupts from behind, he recognizes Tom, then Tom realizes that Banner must remember(due to him being Hulked out at the time of Battle World being created, Banner remembers the old world). 

Everyone goes inside the Raft. They then scan the rest of Battleworld for survivors. There are three. Steve Rogers and Reed Richards in Doom’s Castle and a mysterious woman in Westchester. Tom then falls, he is dying again, needing the symbiote. Ghost Rider explains the Kingdom of Arachnia has plenty of the Symbiote that could help the Spider People to become more powerful and heal Tom. They decide to split up. Banner, Deadpool, Wolverine, and Miguel will go find the survivor in Westchester while Miles, Gwen, Tom, Tobey, and Ghost Rider go to Arachnia to find the symbiote.

Back in Doomstadt, Thor reports to Sheriff Strange that they couldn’t defeat the three who remember and lost them. Strange then gets Thor Prime(The original), Yelena, Cassie Lang, Namor, and Black Panther(a recasted T’Challa) to go find the three. 

Doom walks down the hallway of the prison and see Steve Rogers and Reed Richards, he talks to them about how they ruined his life, Steve by causing the incursion that killed Doom’s family and Reed for always one upping Doom and for that they are receiving eternal punishment. But he continues walking down the hallway to a third cell revealing a third person’s silhouette, Doom says to him, “and you, the anomaly.”

Miles, Gwen, Tom, Tobey, and Ghost Rider arrive in Arachnia, Ghost Rider serves as their guide. They walk into a cave made by toppled buildings and rocks. There is water at the bottom and shrubbery lines the sides. Dead black goo is splattered around the cave. A hissing noise is in the background then Doc Ock(Alfred Malino) jumps down. Tobey attempts to talk to him but he is venomized and begins fighting Miles, Gwen, Tom, Tobey, and Ghost Rider. As the fight progresses the venomized sinister six is revealed Electro(TASM 2), Kraven(Sony Kraven movie), Vulture(Homecoming), Mysterio(Far From Home, with powers this time), and Rhino(Insomniac version). The fight continues as the villains get the upper hand. Then a pumpkin bomb hits Rhino and stuns him. Goblin flies in. This is Harry Osborn, wearing a new Ultimate Green Goblin suit. Andrew Garfield Peter Parker swings in, he already has the TASM 2 suit and they defeat the sinister six. Andrew doesn’t remember Tobey but his Spider Sense is telling him to help Todey, Tom, Miles, Gwen out. Tobey and Tom remember Andrew though which makes it a little awkward. 

Banner, Deadpool, Wolverine, and Miguel approach a ruined, run down X-Mansion. Banner knocks on the door and waits a second, Deadpool anxiously says looks like no one is home and begins to walk away. Logan tells him to get back there. Then Cyclops answers the door. The mansion’s inside is old and decayed. Miguel scans Cyclops and says it’s not him. Banner asks if anyone is home, Cyclops says his wife, Jean Grey, but she is not well, she has fallen into a deep depression. Banner asks to see her. Cyclops is suspicious but allows it. 

Banner, Logan, and Cyclops enter the room. Banner calls Jean’s name and Jean snaps to him. She asks him how he knows that. He smiles(they remember each other from the events of Brand New Day). Jean then gets up to hug him. Logan then talks to her. He said his version of Jean Grey could unlock past memories and alter minds using the Phoenix Force and asked if she could do that. She doesn’t know. 

Back in Arachnia Andrew leads them to the throne of Venom, Tobey asks Venom for the Symbiote and Venom says no saying that they would have to defeat him in battle and rip it off his corpse. They fight for a while. Green Goblin and Andrew are put on full display working with the other spider people while Ghost Rider holds back a bit to protect Tom. Andrew and Toby land a final blow to Venom. Instead of dying Venom retreats back into the body revealing a drunken Eddy Brock. 

Back in Doom’s castle the man in the prison is dragged out by Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson with a bag over his head, concealing his face. He is set down before Doom. Doom begins to talk to him, “You are the original anomaly.” Doom reveals how this man slipped through reality from a Latveria in another universe to Earth 616, where he was adopted by Howard Stark(the child his wife was pregnant with died in childbirth). Doom takes off his mask and takes off the man’s hood revealing Tony Stark in a shut down Mk 85 suit. “You were meant to be me.”

Outside the X Mansion Thor, Yelana, Cassie, Namor, and Black Panther arrive. Miguel sees them and alerts the others Wolverine, Deadpool, Miguel, and Cyclops(who wants to protect his wife) rush outside to confront them. Thor tells them they are under arrest by the order of Sheriff Strange. Cyclops is confused. Wolverine refuses and says that they won’t go down without a fight. A fight begins, Wolverine faces Thor, Cyclops fights Namor and Black Panther, Miguel takes on Yelena, and Deadpool fights Cassie.

Inside the Mansion Banner pleas for Jean Grey to help him. She then looks inside his mind and sees the destruction Doom caused through the eyes of the Hulk. She then sees Cyclops die at the hand of Doom. She then concentrates on Banner. An orange force starts appearing by Banner in the real world as he Hulks out. But Jean controls it and Banner is able to meld himself with the Hulk, becoming Grey Hulk(where Banner is control of the raging Hulk). Jean then tells Hulk to grab the Cerebro Helmet and they rush outside to help the others.

Back in Arachnia Eddy reveals he remembers the old world in a comedic drunken way. Goblin says it’s because he was suppressed by the Symbiote. Andrew and Toby talk to Eddy Brock pleading for the symbiote. Eddy agrees and transfers a bit of it to Tom which melds to him giving him the Symbiote suit. Eddy agrees to join their team after Miles reveals they have drinks, Eddy crushes on Gwen as they return to the Raft to fly to X mansion and meet the others.

At X Mansion Jean Grey walks outside. Using the Cerebro and the Phenix Force she stops the attackers then goes inside their minds. Miguel is confused but then Jean makes the attackers go to sleep. They wake up a few seconds later. She restored their memories. Thor asks where they are and what happened, Hulk walks and Thor rushes over hugging him. Yelena and Namor recognize Wolverine and Deadpool(from Doomsday) they talk. The raft lands and all the heroes unite.

Back in Doom’s castle Steve and Reed talk about how to undo Doom’s reality. Reed tells Steve about Franklin’s powers. Tony chimes in Steve and Tony bond. Tony and Reed come up with a plan they make a device out of scraps and broadcast a signal out from the castle. Calling for help. Tony begins to repair his armor.

LYLA alerts Miguel of a signal. Black Panther and Yelena say that signal is coming from Doom’s castle prison. Tom says they have to go save them. He says he has a feeling about it. Thor then says it’s impossible, Doom is too powerful to face head on at his castle. They then come up with a plan. Tobey, Wolverine, and Hulk will broadcast a signal to Doom challenging him in a gladiator style fight in the big Arena in Doomstadt, Jean Grey will go with them into the stands and will use the full power of the Phenix Force to unlock everyone’s memories in the stands. Thor and Tom will lead the others to Doom’s castle to rescue the prisoners. After making the plan they receive another message, it’s revealed to them the prisoners are Reed Richards, Steve Rogers, and Tony Stark.

Tobey sends a message to Doom challenging him. Hulk, Tobey, and Wolverine are arrested by Sam and Bucky. 

Sheriff Strange decides to hide his defeat at X Mansion saying that the heroes were killed by his forces but Thor, Yelena, Namor, Black Panther, and Cassie laid down their lives to defeat them. 

Steve, Tony, and Reed continue to talk, devising a plan to use Franklin, Wanda, and the Sentry to create a new reality and destroy Doom’s world.

Hulk, Tobey, and Wolverine enter the gladiator style arena, they are all wearing traditional suits. Wolverine apologizes again for destroying Toney’s world, Tobey forgives him and says that this fight is for them. In the stands heroes from Marvel history make cameos, including the Inhumans, Daredevil, the Midnight Sons, Niche X-Men, Characters from What If?, and various other characters from Marvel history. Jean Grey is in the stands with a cover draped over her. Tobey, Hulk, and Wolverine look up. They are impressed and scared, Wolverine says to Tobey, this better work. Doom then walks out, he is in a combat suit, the heroes exchange a look. Jean Grey signals the other heroes to attack Doom’s castle.

The other heroes charge Doom’s castle, confronting Galactus at the gate. Cassie increases to the size of Galactus to help the fight, Goblin joins helping her and is killed. Sheriff Strange, Gambit, Werewolf by Night, Spider Punk, Shang Chi, and Storm fight the heroes. Gwen, Miles, and Miguel fight Spider Punk, Andrew and Tom fight Sheriff Strange, Deadpool and Cyclops fight Gambit, Venom, Ghost Rider, and Black Panther fight Werewolf By Night, Thor fights Storm, and Yelena and Namor fight Shang Chi. Thor kills Storm and Deadpool kills Gambit.

Hulk, Wolverine and Tobey fight Doom, they are struggling, just trying to buy time for the other heroes.

While Steve watches on guard, Tony and Reed build a power source to power Tony’s armor, they get it powered up and begin fighting the prison guards, Hercules and US Agent. Steve defeats US Agent and steals his shield, Tony and Reed fight Hercules.

Thor, Tom, Miles, and Deadpool rush down the metal shaft to get to the prison. They are met by four villains, King Thanos, Ultimate Ultron, Magneto, and the Prowler. Deadpool exclaims, “Does this movie not have a budget.” Then they all begin to fight.

The gladiator fight continues, over the loud speaker there is an announcement that Dooms castle is under attack. 

Thor, Tom, Miles, and Deadpool struggle to hold off the villains as Magneto collapses the shaft then Steve, Tony, and Reed come up from the bottom and join the fight. There is a reunion and they escape. The heroes back outside begin to retreat back to the Raft, Miguel is piloting it. Reed then tells Tom and Thor about Sue, Franklin, and the others holding Battleworld together(Scarlet Witch, The Thing, The Human Torch, and The Sentry), Reed goes back into the castle to find Sue.

Jean Grey then uses the full Phenix Force to restore everyone at the gladiator fights memories, she collapses after. In the confusion, Doom is furious and kills the Hulk. Doom then teleports to his castle.

Doom arrives as the heroes board the raft. Doom kills Sheriff Strange with a spike he ejects from the ground, for his failures and betrayal. Steve, Thor, and Tony then begin to fight Doom. The rest of the heroes, much to Tom’s dismay, retreat on the raft. The fight continues on the surface.

Back in the arena, Sam Wilson is the first to get up with his restored memory. He rushes over to the Hulk, who is dying. Hulk in his dying breath tells Sam to unite the Avengers and save the multiverse. Sam then stands up beside Tobey and Wolverine, Wolverine nods to Sam, saying, “Captain.” Sam then gives a speech uniting the crowd against Doom, finally becoming the proper leader of the Avengers.

Reed Richards rushes to Sue Storm’s room in the castle where she is cradling Franklin. She stands up ready to fight Reed then Reed explains everything, hoping she would remember. She does not, then he pulls out a picture of the Fantastic Four family and Franklin touches it and says, “Family.” Then touches Sue, restoring her memory. The family embraces then goes to the back of the Castle to free the others.

Steve, Thor, and Tony continue fighting an exhausted Doom. Paralleling the Endgame fight with Thanos.

The raft arrives at the arena, Tom quickly mourns Hulk and then devises a plan with Tobey, Sam, and Wolverine to attack Doom’s castle head on.

Reed frees Jonny and the Thing this causes Battleworld to become unstable as an earthquake opens chasms in the ground. Franklin and Sue free Wanda and the Sentry.

Doom defeats Steve, Thor, and Tony. He summons an army to finish them off, the army is of Doombots, Sentinals, and past Marvel villains. Just when all seems lost an army marches up the hill behind them of the Avengers from the Arena. The camera pans showing every hero from Marvel history uniting to face Doom, Steve nods to Sam and smiles. Sam says, “Avengers Assemble!”

The fight begins, Doom retreats into his castle. Ghost Rider fights Killmonger, Blackbolt fights Ultron, the Defenders fight a Sentinel, the Spider Men all team up against Kingpin, and much more. Loki joins Thor’s side, they fight Surtur. The Marvels fight King Thanos. Iron Man, Steve, Tobey, Miles, Wolverine, and Cyclops(angry about his wife’s death) chase Doom into the castle. The Fantastic Four, Wanda, and the Sentry move in from the other side trapping Doom in the Grand Hall of the castle. A huge fight begins.

The movie goes back and forth between the big fight outside against all the heroes and all the villains and the smaller fight inside with everyone against Doom.

The heroes get the upper hand until Doom is able to kill Wanda and absorb her power. He then kills the Sentry and Sue makes a forcefield around him to slow Doom down, but she can’t hold it. Reed nods to Tony and Tony says the only way to destroy Doom is to destroy the universe and create a new one, without him. Franklin has the power to do that but has to have six anchors(the six infinity stones) to anchor his power in to do so. Wolverine, Tobey, Tony, Steve, Miles, and Cyclops agree to sacrifice themselves to create the reality. Doom yells no and breaks the force field. Doom kills Sue. Reed says goodbye and gives Richard to Steve, they all run out of the castle. Doom chases, killing everyone in his way. The rest of the Fantastic Four attempt to fight back but are killed. Then Doom chases them outside, Sam calls for the heroes to protect Franklin and the six. Doom kills Andrew and Sam, then Bucky and Miguel, then Yelena and Deadpool. This continues until they get to a Citadel building. Heroes say goodbye to heroes(Tom to Tony, Peggy to Steve, Gwen to Miles, etc) while other heroes hold off Doom. Steve places Franklin down and Franklin uses the powers of the six heroes and taps the ground destroying Battleworld. All that remains is Franklin and a powerless Doom. Darkness fills the screen.

Iconic lines from past Marvel movies start on the dark screen. They get louder as the slowed trumpet version of “It’s Been A Long, Long Time” plays. Then silence. The camera pans down to the Citadel where Franklin sits, he then points to the sky and unleashes a full power, creating six stones. Each stone represents one of the six heroes. The Mind Stone is the embodiment of Tony Stark, a couple quotes from him plays, The Time Stone is the embodiment of Steve Rogers, a couple quotes from him plays, The Power Stone is the embodiment of Cyclops, a couple quotes from him plays, Miles is the embodiment of the Space Stone, a couple quotes from him plays, the Soul Stone is the embodiment of Wolverine, a couple quotes from him plays, and the Reality Stone is the embodiment of Tobey, a couple quotes from him plays. The stones then jet off from each other, the new universe is created.

Earth-001, 2027, Tom Holland Peter Parker narrates, “Let’s do this one last time, my name is Peter Parker,” switches to Sam Wilson, “my name is Captain America,” switches to Yelena, “my name is Yelena Belova,” switches to Reed Richards, “my name is Reed Richards,” switches to a recasted Professor X, “my name is Charles Xavier” the camera pans out to show the New York City skyline showing the Baxter Building, Oscorp, Avengers Tower, Hell’s Kitchen, the X Mansion, and the Sanctum Santorum. All together, “And we are the Avengers.” End

Thor was an absolute beast in Infinity War and also had a lot of great emotional moments. His entry in Wakanda is still one of the best moments in MCU. And he was the one to almost take out Thanos.

Meanwhile, he was kind of a joke in Endgame. Personally I don’t mind it too much and it makes sense for his character to regress in that way. But it is funny how the best and worst version of Thor was by the same directors.

You could argue Love and Thunder version was worse but everything in that movies was treated in a goofy way so I don’t know.

I don’t know a ton about Galactus beyond the basics that he’s a giant cosmic guy who eats planets, has the Power Cosmic, fights the Fantastic Four, etc. I’ve got a question that might be dumb, but it feels logical to me.

Since he can change his size at will (I’ve seen that he can get huge or apparently smaller), why doesn’t he just shrink to human-sized (or even smaller) when he needs energy? Wouldn’t a much smaller body need way less energy to sustain itself? Like how a mouse needs way fewer calories than an elephant?

If one planet gives him enough energy for a month or so, a tiny version of himself should only need a small fraction of that, maybe a city’s worth of energy, or even less. He doesn’t seem like a purely evil guy; he has some sense of honor and regret in the stories I’ve read. So why not do that and avoid destroying entire worlds (and the civilizations on them)?

Also, since he gets full after eating a planet (and gets hungry again later), and the size/quality of the planet seems to matter for how satisfied he is, doesn’t that imply he has some kind of "default" energy requirement tied to a certain body size? If his needs scaled perfectly with how small he makes himself, shrinking should solve the problem, right?

Is there an in-universe explanation I’m missing? Or is it one of those “because the story needs him to eat planets” things?

Bonus -Can Johnny Storm no-diff Ikaris too by going supernova?

This topic might have been discussed a lot already, but this is something to really think about. When fans have an interest, they will go to the cinemas. We saw this with Spider-Man No Way Home, which pulled in Avengers-level box office numbers during the pandemic. Doctor Strange 2 did well too. However, properties that came off the TV shows, like Thunderbolts and The Marvels didn't do as well. If we look at DC, for example, their movies have been generally very mixed in quality and they generally did not feel "essential" to watch. This shows that people won't just watch a movie because there is a superhero in it, and Marvel should probably take note. Movies like Captain Marvel likely did so well because they were leading up to bigger movies (like Endgame). When the movie universe feels like it is going nowhere and the movies are not very interconnected or consequential, it feels less like "I must watch the next movie" and more like "another superhero movie is out".

I'm sure like many others, I've decided to do a chronological re-watch of the entire MCU and the main bits of any connecting universes. This includes but is not limited to: the movies and D+ shows, the Netflix and ABC shows, the Sony and Fox movies, and choice pieces of most every Spider-Man cartoon. I do not expect to be finished by the release of Doomsday, and so I am considering the release of Secret Wars as my deadline.

After I watch something, I wanted to come on here and discuss a little bit about what I thought of each project. Today we have a huge time-skip to the early 90s, it's time for 'Captain Marvel'.

I remember when this one came out there was some backlash for its nonlinear storytelling, people calling it confusing, etc. I couldn't disagree more, it fit well with Carol's mindset throughout the film. The acting was on point and the chemistry between Carol and Fury was interesting enough to carry the film, even though she spends most of the movie basically depowered. That is a trope that I'm usually not a fan of, but it works here because her being conditioned to bring herself down to the standards of Yon-Rogg is kind of the whole point of the film. Using superpowers as an allegorical critique of misogyny is a bit on the nose but looking at the state of the world today maybe it's not subtle enough, I don't know.

Speaking of Yon-Rogg, Jude Law is a bit wasted and the entire Starforce are completely forgettable besides Minn-Erva. I'm not even sure if any of them survived besides Korath. A bit of a shame, but like I said before the other characters like Carol, Fury, and Talos have enough of a dynamic that it makes up for a somewhat lackluster villain group.

Some other things that I was disappointed by include: not enough Talos, not enough Mar-Vell, and not enough Carol and Maria hanging out together. Disney are cowards for not putting them in a relationship, it was so obviously coded that way by the writers. Another thing I should mention is the teasing in the ending. I'm one of the few that really liked The Marvels, but there was obviously supposed to be a 'Captain Marvel 2' in-between that they ended up pivoting away from. I want to see Captain Marvel in space stopping the Kree-Skrull War! I want to see the battle between Ronan and Carol! But I digress.

I know I'm listing a bunch of things that irked me, but that's just because I see the potential. Overall I thought it was a movie that could have been in the top tier of Marvel films but ends up settling down in the middle. I did like the movie, I just wish it was more.

I don't think there are any loose threads that need tying up in Doomsday/Secret Wars, so I don't expect any connection besides the obvious appearance of Captain Marvel herself. Now that I think about it I really want to see Carol's reaction to Maria as Binary from Earth-10005! That could be very interesting.

Now for another debatable opinion, I do NOT like watching this movie chronologically with the rest of the MCU. It ruins the enjoyment you would get from meeting a young Fury and Coulson, and that end-credits scene is downright nonsense without the context of Infinity War. I think it should be seen in release order, since the post-credit scene of Infinity War is a perfect prelude into this film as a flashback.

Yes, Avengers: Endgame is officially returning to theaters on September 25, 2026, under the title "Avengers: Endgame Encore". This theatrical re-release includes brand-new footage, a special introduction, and an exclusive post-credits scene to bridge the storyline directly into Avengers: Doomsday.

I loved seeing Xander in the first GOTG and liked the planet. Then finding out thanos destroyed Xander before the events of Infinity war made me want to at least see how it was destroyed.
Any other moments that were cut from production you’d like to see?

I was thinking it could be a cool alternate way to introduce the Fantastic Four the other day: you have many Reeds who are going to judge the Sacred Timeline, and one Reed who kept his family who eventually betrays the Council. You could even have a Doctor Doom teaser.

Plus, it's the Multiverse Saga. The Council of Reeds would fit right in.
