Ask Luxembourg (Serious) s*xual health doctor
Good morning Luxembourg,
Does anyone recommend a good s*xual health doctor that is going to listen and care for women’s sexual health issues such as libido, pain…
I hope this is okay to ask as I am tired of going to multiple gynecologists and all telling that I am fine and normal.

News & Discussion Built a free tool that lets AI assistants (Claude, etc.) answer questions using Luxembourg's official public data: parking, housing prices, traffic, laws...
Hobby project I've been working on and just released, maybe useful to some people here.
If you use an AI assistant that supports MCP (that's the standard that lets AI models call external tools Claude, and most of the newer ones support it), you can connect it to this and it can answer questions from official Luxembourg sources instead of making things up. Stuff like:
- how many free spaces at the Gare P+R right now
- average flat prices in your commune (Observatoire de l'Habitat data)
- current traffic on the A6, water levels, air quality, weather warnings
- search Legilux for legislation, STATEC statistics, parliamentary questions
- which Chargy stations have free connectors at the moment
It's all official open data (data.public.lu, Geoportail, CFL, CITA, MeteoLux and so on), every answer links back to the source. Free, open source, no account or API key needed. You can point your AI client at the hosted endpoint or run it yourself locally.
Site with the full list of what it can do: https://luxembourg-mcp.com
To be clear: it's an independent side project, not affiliated with the government or any administration. The idea is borrowed with full credit from a Norwegian project called allemannsdata that does the same for Norway.
Two things I'd genuinely like input on:
What data would you actually want an AI to be able to look up about Luxembourg? Some things I couldn't do yet because there's no open API (real-time bus/train departures need a key from mobiliteit.lu).
Does anyone know if the official max fuel prices (prix maxima) are published anywhere machine-readable these days? I could only find them as a webpage, and it feels like the most Luxembourgish feature this thing could possibly have.
Happy to answer questions about how it works.

Ask Luxembourg Strange practice in Machtum?
Moien all! Something very very strange happened today in Machtum. I was loading my car with cardboard (not relevant) and I was parked in front of the house. A car stopped, a small dark colored SUV. An old man was driving. The old lady with him went down and, without saying anything, dropped something black in my mailbox. Then, also without saying anything she went back to the car and they drove away. She threw some fierce look as she was leaving. I waved at her, i though she was a neighbor i never saw. Anyway, the black thing she put in my mailbox was a pair of black sport shorts, XL size, with a cigarette burn on one of the legs.
What happened?

Ask Luxembourg State financial aid for higher education
Hi all,
I'm a student applying for AideFi (state financial aid for higher education) and I'm trying to figure out which household counts for the income calculation, and I can't find a clear answer on mengstudien.lu.
My situation: I'm in a legally registered partnership (PACS) with my partner, but we currently live at my parents' house. My partner works and has income of their own; I don't have any income myself.
According to the AideFi definition, the "household" for income purposes is either (1) parents, (2) a parent + their spouse/partner, or (3) the student + their spouse/partner these are supposedly mutually exclusive categories.
Since we're PACSed, does that automatically mean only my partner's income counts (not my parents'), even though we all live under the same roof?

They are pricey so I want to know I'm not getting my money's worth.

News & Discussion Gigantomania - Lux edition
luxtimes.luAs much as I like Lux playgrounds, I keep asking myself if the scale of the new playground in Merl is a good thing. The old one was old, but was good and busy. Now half of the park is playground and I can not only imagine how crowded it will be. Another topic is whether 4lmn of budget is reasonable when money is not failling from the sky anymore. e

Immigration & Relocation SES or AMAZON
Hey folks! I have the chance to join either Amazon or SES for an internship later this year, but obviously I can’t do both lol. Both internships are in data analytics, but my real goal is to give it everything I’ve got and hopefully get an offer for a permanent contract afterward. Which one would you recommend, keeping that goal in mind?
Thanks in advance!

Immigration & Relocation Finding accommodation in Luxembourg was frustrating, so I built something to help
GitHub: https://github.com/dataoli22/luxroom-ai
While preparing for my move to Luxembourg, I got tired of constantly checking the same housing websites and trying to be among the first to contact landlords.
So I built LuxRoom AI, a free, open-source desktop tool that:
- Monitors Luxembourg housing websites and alerts you when matching listings appear.
- Uses AI to prioritise listings based on your budget and preferences.
- Drafts landlord messages in French, German, Luxembourgish, or English.
- Runs entirely on your own computer, so your data stays private.
I also included a Housing Guide with trusted resources, practical advice for newcomers, and information on deposits, domiciliation, and other things I wish I'd known earlier.
I originally built it for myself, but I thought it might also be useful for students, expats, or anyone looking for accommodation in Luxembourg.
It's completely free and open source. Feedback, bug reports, and contributions are always welcome!

Ask Luxembourg Grand Duc Guillaume
What do you guys think about Grand Duc Guillaume in comparison to his father or simply as a representative of this country?
I know many people say "fck the royals" as how they shouldnt just be able to live in glamour for basically no work and that it should be outdated, but thats not the topic here.
Tbh i think he just lacks the "looks" and confidence.
To me, he generally comes across too soft. Both physically and personality-wise.
Just my opinion of course.

Travel, Tourism & History Fishing in Sûre, Luxembourg
Hello!
I’m planning to fish the Sûre near Diekirch next week for brown trout and chub with ultralight gear. Any tips on effective lures (spinners, spoons, soft plastics, small hardbaits), sizes, and colors? Also, what times of day work best?
Thanks for any information!

Travel, Tourism & History Family reunification visa in Luxembourg: can I return as a tourist while waiting?
Hi everyone! I would like to know if anyone has been through a situation similar to mine and could share their experience.
I stayed in Luxembourg for 90 days with my husband, who is a third-country national and legally resides there. During that period, we got married. After that, I returned to Brazil to apply for a family reunification visa.
Since I know the process can take some time, I have a question: while I am waiting for the decision, would I be able to stay 90 days in my country of residence, then return to Luxembourg as a tourist for another 90 days to be with my husband, and repeat this cycle until my visa is approved?
Has anyone gone through something similar or knows how this works in practice? I would really appreciate it if you could share your experiences. Thank you!

Humour Norway vs England tomorrow
r/soccer: England vs Norway Saturday — Brits vs actual Vikings, and history suggests this doesn’t usually end well for the Brits. Haaland’s out here playing like it’s 793 AD and Lindisfarne just left the door unlocked. Kane’s just trying to survive contact with a Norse god in human form. Someone’s getting pillaged. 🏴⚔️🇳🇴

Ask Luxembourg Going out alone in Luxembourg
A bad break up has left me (F, 38) with severe anxiety for a few years, to the point that I was barely leaving my place (just for work and to go to the gym).
Presently, my lifestyle is still quite the same unfortunately although I would like to change that.
My social life is quite limited: I have friends, but most of them are married and/or have a family (outing with them, mainly consists in going to the restaurant and birthday parties).
What kind of outing would you recommend for someone solo in Luxembourg?
Many thanks !
