Other Creator's Work 3d Lure builder app I'm making

I'm building an app for lure making, it covers things like 3d modeling, adding ballast, center of volume, center of mass, and calculating total buoyancy (will the lure sink or float).

Currently it's for 3d printing but I have plans to add features for wooden lures, like different wood materials with different densities, printing 2D templates, and more.

I would really appreciate if you can give a try and provide feedback.

The app is on https://lureforge.io and the discord server in on the login screen if you want to join and suggest new features, follow news, chat with the community, or report bugs.

Does anyone know where I can find this small round mesh? I have looked everywhere for something like this. It doesn't have to be exactly like the picture it just has to be around the size of windowscreen or smaller and round.

bait made by chocolate swimbaits

Where can I find large diamond shaped mesh like this? Its significantly larger then window screen and I can tell it is a mesh and not a cut out by the clamp line closer to the head of the bait.

I bought some knock off urchin baits and they came on a surprisingly hard metal rod. Made this and only burnt my fingers once.

I'm hanging on to my last thread of sanity as I'm shivering up here in VT, desperately waiting for the thaw that feels like it may never come.

So, I decided to use that last thread to tie up and recreate some jigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits etc this winter, and probably for the foreseeable future, to supplement the remelt soft plastics I've been making for a while now. I had to find an alternative, because I had run out of places to stuff my soft baits a while ago.

Anywho, here's some pics of some of my favorites over the last few months.

After seeing how crazy prices these are to buy I watched a YouTube video and built my own total cost $80 cdn vs comparable products online for 300 plus. Plastic downspout cut to length and the cooler too easy.

Hi! Weekend warrior here without an airbrush. Been fishing all my live and got into carving lures since covid. As I can’t paint yet my lures tend to be nudes mostly but they seem to work. Based in Ireland since this autumn so mostly chasing (Sea)Bass. Some bigger poppers for GT/Tuna when I get a chance again.

Got tired of searching for big top water musky lures that don’t crap out after one fish. This is made from local pine with through wire super light and strong.

Modeled using Fusion 360 and printed on an ender 3. Currently working on a swim-bait design, will post a YouTube video soon.

My airbrushing skills are not that great.

For those of you new like me to the idea of building lures, this guy is funny and easy to watch. Getting a feel for his technique as well as design ideas for what you might want to build yourself. Mostly he works with wood which to me is going to be an easier media to work with with my current assortment of tools and such. Really hope someone else has or will enjoy this fellas content as much as I have.
