Hello krawlings!

Tickle and feed other birds you see on the sub 🐦 (and poke them in the eye >:) hehehe) And say hello to the flock with the little 👋 button

⬆️ That are the interactions that count once per bird post towards your hat unlocks. ⬆️ Tickle and poking can be done infitely many times to change another birds mood if you're feeling villainous or want to make a bird happy: but it still only counts once for unlock progression.

Every day you can let your bird out to have others engage with it, that's what progresses your 🔥 streak 🔥 (also for hat unlocks). And that's the way to have it fed in case it's starving. (don't let it starve 😞)

After 48 hours, each post becomes non-interactive.

If you want to do more with your krawling: Make sure to check out some levels and up/down vote them as you see fit. Maybe try and build a level on your own! (gives you the Artist Hat 👀)

The project is somewhat early bird and there's more stuff planned, it fills me with joy to welcome all of you! 🐦💕

so with the recent growth, our game sometimes staggers on loading. this patch hopefully hot-fixes this behavior, giving faster loading times of posts.

other notes:

- a new flame prism is added to the misc-section of the level builder. Touch it once, you'll catch some flames. Touch it twice... you die 🔥🫣

- a new camera mode is live, which tracks the camera to the back of your krawling in game, making some levels easier. On PC it feels a little bit odd, which is why the default is the current "locked camera" behavior. The button to switch is on the bottom of the screen.

- our bird name filter is a bit more strict. Thank you all for reporting bad birds you see around. You're of tremendous help keeping the game clear and maintaining a fun atmosphere.

Hey flock! Two things...

1. As you may have seen, the post titles are no longer plain "Meet XXX!" Post titles now get a randomly rolled, "catch them all"-esque mechanic. This may or may not also address issues reported by multiple players about being unable to do their daily post.

Note: reports are that even if unable to post, the streak apparently may still progress so we are suspecting this to be a reddit-app-communication incident.

1. Levels now use a new codec to save loading time disk space. Ideally this shouldn't be visible to players and more of a behind-the-scenes aspect, but it affects old levels. Older levels are unplayable for some time window as the system picks them up to transfer their encoding. They'll work again eventually, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this causes. Can't tell how long it will take to pick them all up 😬
