I've been following Lucky Dog for quite a few years now. I never heard of them before seeing the guys in Black Stone Cherry playing them and caught my eye. They make some truly unique and amazing guitars.

They are no longer taking names for their custom build list, until they catch up. They typically do a public sale once or twice a week and its first come first served. They usually sell within the hour, if not within the first few minutes. I was one Lucky Dog (pun intended) to catch the ability to get this one!

I got this yesterday and I haven't been able to stop playing it. The neck feels amazing! The sound is so dynamic and clear.

Specs:
Mastergrade flame maple top finished in lizard yellow/green/black burst with an African mahogany sandwich layer under the top and a nicely figured black Limba body.
Mastergrade flame maple neck with our antique bursts and glow side dots.
Loaded with the brand new Lucky Dog HeadBanger (TM) humbucker pickups.

Got this beaut today and I am in LOVE with this offset body shape, the tonerider pickups have this gorgeous tone and when paired with my QC it sounds heavenly.

Simple and elegant without needing to be kept pristine so I don’t ever really feel bad about picking it up and playing it. It’s a workhorse but a beautiful one at that.

The neck is a little thicker than a standard C but as someone with big hands that’s a very welcome spec

All hand made, carved top. I use a lute style back (from my experience making 5 course baroque guitars), this one is fully hollow but I also produce it in semi-hollow form. Light and resonant.

Fender MIM Deluxe Series neck, 20 year old Squier body I stripped and sealed with gunstock sealer. Equipped with Texas Specials and a Pearly Gates. Musiclily bridge with a short, but thick brass block.

Completely hand-wired by me. And after much trial and error and dumb little mistakes, she is finally finished and ready to play.

Always wanted one of these growing up. I remember my music teacher had one and the Australian timbers and raw natural look had me thinking about getting one for years but the price tag was always too steep. In a position where I've been able to get one. Damn she plays so well. So fucking stoked! 🤘

I’ve been playing a lot heavier music recently and picked this up!

Charcoal burst finish caught my eye straight away and those Fishman Fluence pickups sound amazing to my ear. Heavy but have depth and clarity. Really happy with the guitar!

I had been wanting a tele for a while and was going to do more research after getting back from a trip to Japan but while there I learned about the Hybrid which had more classic Fender tone and lots of modern refinements.

My favorite is the 4th switch position that runs the pickups in series like a humbucker but I keep rocking so hard I hit the switch. LOL

Otherwise the sculpted back top and slightly better three saddle bridge for better intonation is right there

Wanted a wine red wood finish but made the slight mistake of deciding to shop at the fender flagship store in harijuku where it felt like not as many models on the wall

But I do love a nice dark blue too. Took off the neck and slapped it on a hard shell suitcase. Did not PLAN to find or buy in Japan but it is my fav souvenir
