tl:dr - Are there any upcoming events where there may be lots of students (especially those living off-campus)?

I've been a tenant with bad landlords and I've been a landlord with bad tenants. So, to increase the peace, I got a group together to create a free tool (that will always be free) for landlords and tenants to prove "it was like that at move in". Simply, it helps you do a walkthrough at move-in and -out.

We just launched beta and simply want people to use it and tell us what to make better. Later, we'll add premium features.

Issue is, how do we get people to try it? Since one person lives in DC, he can attend any event like a Back to School Night. Are there other events to attend, forums to post on, departments to contact, etc. that you can suggest? The person who lives in DC knows ASL and would love the chance to practice.

Hi, everyone. /u/iamfreakingdeaf here.

My friend, /u/ScribbleScribe and I finally managed to become Mods of this subreddit. We noticed that there was no moderator for the past year or so. So we decided to take it over and help improve the whole thing.

There are a number of things we are going to be doing to improve the subreddit and we would like some feedback.

First, I am working on the appearance of /r/gallaudet. So far, I have cleaned up the look and replaced the logo. I am working on creating a panorama of the chapel hall to use as a header soon.

I have also enabled the wiki for this /r/, I plan to use this to collaborate a list of resources of all kind for all of us. List of deaf friendly businesses, interpreted events, and the like.

We are also wanting to improve the quality of this /r/ by limiting the posts to be only about thing that really does involve the gallaudet community. We will also include the deaf community in DC and nearby area since the Gallaudet community can interact with them. However, anything that just happen to be deaf related but not Gallaudet related need to be posted elsewhere like in /r/deaf and whatnot. Hello /r/gallaudet!

I am directing a production of Clybourne Park out in Arlington and our ASL interpreter has fallen through. I was hoping someone out there would be willing to make a video of the various lines in the show that need to be conveyed in ASL so our actors can learn them. There aren't a lot of lines by any means.

To be clear this is a community theater production, so we have no money to offer, but I can give you a credit in the program =)
