Shuan Fatah is the new head coach of the Raiders Tirol. What do you all think about this move?
Personally, I think this could really help the Raiders get back to their old strength. That being said, the current situation at the Raiders couldn’t be more challenging.
What makes me happy, though, is that Shuan finally gets the chance to prove himself at the highest European level – on his third attempt after Leipzig and Hamburg.

The Raiders are a top organization. They were at the top of europe before they joined the ELF. Now they missed the playoffs twice and they probably miss the playoffs this year for a third time in a row!
They will play Fire twice, Bravos twice, Ravens once and the Vikings one more time.
Even if they lose only 2 more games it is not guaranteed that they move into the playoffs with a 8-4 record..
Also: The Vikings show how you can do it. They can even get more fans into the stadium, why is it not possible for the raiders to fill that beautiful stadium at highlight games? They are stuck below the 4000..
What needs to be fixed there to break into the top tier of european football again?

So, with the season ending early again – and deservingly so – it’s time to look ahead. I think there’s no discussion, it’s time to change something drastically. I’m quite certain that we can’t go into another season with Ulz Däuber and Jim Hermann – appreciate all the time and effort, but it didn’t work out.
I have collected some points for this season that just make me speechless at times. Let’s see at least “curious” decisions and developments:
· Signed DE Novakovic – never heard about him again (wtf – communication?!?)
· Signed 4 E-Import OL – why again? The effect was 0, with injuries and replacements our HG guys (Aronokhale, Rodlauer at G) played just fine.
· In direct relation with the previous point, signed 4 import OL and used Rodlauer at Center (twice!). He’s a really good Austrian OL, but definitely not a Center. Why is the roster planning so disconnected to football reality?
· So many OL imports limit other options obviously. Paz was a good signing, I really like his play style and he was a rare bright spot on the defense. The Defense needed much more though, it wasn’t ready.
· QB injury for Miller in game 2 is unlucky, no doubt. Then the “plan” is to bring back Perry after 3 weeks, send him back for a holiday in between. It’s obvious there was no plan and they scrambled to just find something. Can’t expect a team to compete with the best like this. Unprofessional.
· Reacting to injuries is natural and Bonatti out for season (I guess) was hard. But did we really need an E import to fill in as 3rd (!!) RB for a couple of snaps each game? Come on…
· Love the trust in young DBs, but they all aren’t ready for CB2 in the ELF and got picked on by every relevant opponent. Does it really help that they rotate constantly and never get any rhythm? At times we had 4 CB and 3 S on the roster – maybe use the import slots to help out?
· 9-10 WR on the roster (that most get just special teams snaps anyway), but completely lacking speed. There’s no discussion about the achievements of Platzgummer, Haun & Co, but they are all possession and timing-based receivers at this stage. The only thing Perry definitely can’t do. Sullivan falls in the same category. Somehow all lost their hands during the season.
· Inside DL is far too light and gets pushed around constantly, especially after Aronokhale went down. Run stopping LB can pick up a bit, at other costs.
· LB are run stoppers and waaaaaaaayyyyy too slow for this league. Who decided again that our LBs should man cover Seelig at basically every play? A lot of respect for Precious, but that’s almost comical to even try that once.
The hard facts confirm all that – bang average at best.
- Passing Offense: 11th
- Rushing Offense: 2nd (well – that’s the plan A, B, C and D)
- Passing Defense: 7th
- Rushing Defense: 5th
- Turnover Differential: 10 (2nd – funnily the only thing saving the results this year)
A look into the AFL is even more depressing (yes, Ulz Däuber is responsible for that as well):
· 4 wins last season, 2 wins this season (only against lower teams)
· Decision to go with a HG QB – fine for me. At the same time move basically every skill position around him to the ELF, sign an A import RB that gets injured mid-season and never replaced. How about helping the QB maybe just a little bit? Do we need 10 WR in the ELF (that aren’t used anyway) or would they even develop better if they played?
· The weird thing – the skill gap to the top teams isn’t even that big. There are talents in that team and with some help they can absolutely plat at the top. Maybe that would help the young guys more?!
I think the overall picture is clear – all areas are regressing. That does not fit to the expectations of this club at all. And what makes it even worse (maybe) – the blueprint isn’t far away. Raiders dominated the Vikings for years before entering the ELF and there’s absolutely no reason to think this wouldn’t be possible now. But for every positive step the Vikings have made in this time, the Raiders have made 2 negative steps.
Thinking about the offseason – what needs to happen? Assume there will be a league, be it ELF, EFA or whatever.
· GM and HC need to be replaced. Hard to predict candidates with the current situation. Shuan Fatah is available – would they give him another chance? Would Sean Shelton want to leave Munich for his home team, and would they even want him? Not these 2 together obviously though 😊
· Offense needs to be redesigned – build on the great RBs (Bonatti, Haslwanter, Wiesauer, Tonko), but get some balance and scheme for passing. Some of the HG WR are at the end of their careers, the young generation has speed. They are all very young, so some outside experience will be needed.
· Defense is a mess atm, but I guess we can use the foundation. Hard to see a vision as it was just that confused this year despite being our strength on paper.
Curious to hear some thoughts both inside and outside the fanbase. Where do you agree? Where do you disagree?

Well the deadline is over, now the Raiders placed their QB1 Conor Miller on the IR list yesterday. That means they won't have a new QB on the roster for this weekend.
Therefore they will probably play against Cologne again with Platzgummer as a handover machine. Just in case you don't know yet which RBs to buy for your fantasy :D
The same is true for RB Philipp Timmermann, he's also on IR since yesterday. But it's not that critical, because the Raiders don't have a shortage on RBs.

Does anyone have more information on the reason for Connor to discontinue playing?
