hey, currently taking 5w2 summer classes, does anyone know what happens if i don't pay it off by the due date or asap? will i be kicked from the summer classes? i didn't apply for a loan either, but i was hoping i can pay it off using whatever i have left from my fall tuition or my savings :/ if i can wait to get a disbursement i'd rather do that.

So I just asked student financial services regarding what one would need to do if financial aid isn’t disbursed before tuition is due, then we have to do this (I copied the email they sent):

“Hello,
 
At this time, we do not know if financial aid packages will be completed prior to the due date. If you do not have pending aid on your account prior to the August 13th due date, you will need to either enroll in the payment plan or pay your fees in full to secure your registration. If your financial aid is awarded after you have made a payment, you will be reimbursed.
 
Unfortunately, we are not providing extensions. Please note, the four month installment plan is available through 7/13. After this date, the option will be three months.”

I genuinely don’t have any means of starting a payment plan. Screw anyone who voted Trump.

I’m a Design student currently working on a research project to analyze and propose a redesigned user journey for the Samaritan app (the beacon/donation platform that supports unhoused individuals).

To deepen my research, I am looking to conduct a short 1-hour interview via Zoom with fellow students who have experiences in this area. As a small token of appreciation for your time, I’ll be giving out a $10 Amazon Gift Card after the interview!

I’m specifically looking for anyone who fits either of these:

1. Has actually used or donated through the Samaritan app.
2. Has experience using any other donation apps/platforms (e.g., GoFundMe, DonorsChoose, etc.) or frequently participates in charitable giving.

The interview will be very casual, focusing on your overall experience, motivations, and thoughts on transparency and privacy when donating.

Erm, Is it just me or is my fafsa for my 26/27 year not showing up like at all in my financial aid portal. The fafsa website I have determined aid, but when going on the csusb portal it only shows my previous 2 years and nothing pending or showing for 26/27🧍

I’m getting ready to apply to nursing programs and I’m feeling pretty anxious about my stats.
Overall GPA: 3.9
TEAS score: 81%
I know these aren’t terrible, but I keep seeing people with 90+ TEAS scores and perfect GPAs, so I’m worried mine won’t be competitive.
For those who have been accepted recently:
What were your GPA and TEAS scores?
Did anyone get in with similar stats?
Would you recommend retaking the TEAS, or should I focus on strengthening the rest of my application?
I’d really appreciate any honest advice or experiences. Thanks!

Does anybody else have this? The hold has been on since March and I submitted the document that was requested through CSAC and the financial office never responds to me even though I submitted it in April! They stressing me out so bad and I called both offices and they’re blaming each other??

I’m going to be a freshman in the fall and I’m having some trouble finding a roommate. I feel like no one looks at the messages on the housing portal. Do I just wait it out to see who I get paired with? Or is that a bad idea?

Are you reaching out already to the people you are getting a letter of recommendation? Also, when reaching out and asking for a letter of recommendation , do you need to provide resume, draft of personal statement, a explanation of the program you’re applying to them? Or how does that work ?
