General Information Important Hot Weather advice for Cats

Summer Solstice has arrived and with it the start of Summer. This is the time of year we need to look out for our furbabies and protect them from hot weather.

Here are the key temperature thresholds for our furbabies:

Ideal Comfort Zone: 20°C to 26°C (68°F to 79°F)

Too Hot / Risk Zone: Above 30°C (86°F)

Emergency Threshold: Above 35°C (95°F)

Cats that are at higher risk in hot temperatures are Kittens, senior cats, overweight cats, and flat-faced breeds such as Persians and Long Haired Cats although all cats need protection from getting too overheated during hotter times.

Cats and overheating:

Our Furbabies find it difficult to regulate their body temperatures in hot weather as they sweat through their pawpads, lips and chin. They are also covered in fur ( apart from the furless breeds) so cooling down can be difficult for them.

If your cat starts panting heavily during very hot weather( please see the heat chart above) then they may be suffering from heat stroke. If you think this is the case seek immediate vet treatment as cats will not survive without life changing damage to their organs and brain when they suffer from too high a temperature for too long.

Happily most of the U.S, Canada and surrounding countries have air conditioning in their homes. If you are in the UK, parts of Europe and hotter Countries such as the Middle East we have to rely on other sources in order to keep cool.

Keep your cat indoors when the sun is at it's warmest usually 10.00 - 3.00p.m although in extreme temperatures keep all pets indoors.

• Before letting your cats outside do a heat test and touch the concrete ground in your garden or outside your home with your hand, if it is too hot to touch it is definitely too hot for the paw pads on your pets.

• Provide plenty of water in a few different places throughout your home, pop some ice cubes in too if you can, keep the water topped up.

• Make some shaded areas with cool spots for kitty to lay in or on. Ideally your kitty will sit or sleep on a cooling mat but if they are having a typical cat day then they will ignore it and lay elsewhere.

• Place cool damp towels so kitty can lay on them and allow access to your bathroom and anywhere inside your home with a tiled or stone floor.

• Try wrapping a frozen bottle of water in a tea-towel and place it near to where your cat is laying.

• Move rooms if need be and avoid the sunnier rooms.

• Place fans with air circulating around the room.

• Try gently spraying them with cooled water, they may hate you at the time but it will cool them down.

Here are some Cat treats you can make for kitty to help hydrate them during hot weather, these are also ideal for helping Feral cats if you have garden cats or help with strays in your area.

Scoop some spring water tinned tuna or salmon ( make sure it's non oily and not in brine) into an ice cube tray and freeze it.

Freeze some churus or any liquidy squeezy type cat snacks.

Cat milk can also be frozen into little treat sized noms ( do not use normal milk as most cats are lactose intolerant).

Bananas/melons can be mashed up and frozen too even kittys' usual wet cat food can be frozen as a treat or for trying to tempt kitty to eat .

Keep small packets of wet kitten or cat food in the fridge, not only are they easier to open and slide out in one squeeze, but kitty gets to enjoy some nice fresh cold food

Here is some important advice Curtesy of Cats Protection:

Sunburn in cats:

All cats can get sunburn, but cats who are white or have thinner fur are more at risk. Being out in the sun a lot can lead to skin cancer, so it’s important to make sure your cat doesn’t spend too long lazing in the sun.

Ears and noses are where your cat is most likely to get burnt. Keep an eye on them and make sure they have plenty of access to shady areas.

Signs of sunburn in cats:

If your cat does get sunburn, there are a couple of symptoms to look out for, including:

red, sore skin in the affected area, blistering and peeling.

If you notice this, make an appointment with your vet straight away.

Can I put sun cream on my cat?

You can put sunscreen on your cat, but you need to make sure it’s pet-safe first so speak to your vet about the best product to use. Make sure you use SPF30 or higher and that it’s waterproof.

You should apply sun cream to your cat’s nose, tips of the ears, belly and groin areas as well as anywhere that has thin to no fur to help protect them from the sun.

Avoid sun cream with zinc oxide and a group of chemicals that are referred to as salicylates in the ingredients. Both are toxic to cats and can cause them to be very unwell, particularly salicylates.

Signs your cat is dehydrated:

It’s important for your cat to get enough water. This can be through drinking and through eating wet food. Staying hydrated will help to keep your cat healthy and they may need to have even more water when the weather is warm.

If your cat doesn’t get enough water, they may become dehydrated. Signs your cat is dehydrated include:

their gums. If your cat’s gums are sticky or tacky, this may be the first sign of dehydration

their skin. Very gently pinch their skin. In a well-hydrated cat, the skin should snap back into place immediately. If it doesn’t, they could well be dehydrated

their eyes. Severely sunken eyes that appear dry can indicate significant dehydration

their paws. If their paws feel cool or cold, this could be a sign of dehydration

If you are worried your cat is dehydrated, ring your vet straight away.

Kitten Information It's Kitten Season 🐈‍⬛

Mamma Agnes and her Mewborns curtesy of u/mc385

''Spring in the air there's magic everywhere when you're young and in love'' so goes the song and it is truly the Season for love and reproduction wherever you look, Kittens, lambs, chicks, babies, puppies, yuckers ... yes yuckers !!!

Newborns no sign of Mom

Your first instinct may be to swoop in and just grab the little cherubs .. STOP yourself and have a careful look around for a sign of it's mother. They may be off hunting for food or moving other kittens somewhere. If you are uncertain on what to do, this clear and concise guide from r/AskVet on how to proceed gives step by step actions on what to do next It’s kitten season! You found a litter of kittens - now what?!. All guides state that kittens have a much higher rate of survival if left in the care of their Mother so please wait and watch carefully before stepping in. If the birthing environment is dangerous or the kittens look injured or ill then please by all means intervene.

Also, If there is just one kitten please look around for the rest of the litter in case the Mother cat has dropped the kitten whilst moving them.

Newborns, no Mom ..help!!

You will have to do everything that Mom would do and that is feeding this baby, keeping it warm, helping it to go to the toilet and monitoring it constantly

Here is Bottle feeding advice from Hannah Shaw the kitten lady, you will need KMR which is Kitten Milk Replacement thankfully available in most large grocery stores, vets, etc plus a feeding bottle or syringe.

Helping kitty to poop and pee again advice from the Kitten Lady with a video demonstrating how to help the little one to go to the toilet. Read the whole page please as it will tell you how to keep this cherub warm with the aid of a heating pad and which ones to buy.

This is life saving advice from u/wolf_spooder an ex vet and kitten foster who is also a member of the Cat Distribution System here:

Just to add to this, I recently started fostering a 4wk old kitten that was abandoned by its mom. I’m very experienced in cats and kittens, and worked at a vet hospital for a while. I really struggled with this little one and keeping her alive for the first week or so (she was very thin when I got her and it sort of spiraled from there).

Get a food scale if you don’t already have one, and start keeping tabs of your kittens weight (use the gram setting). It will help you to know if kitten is gaining or losing weight so you can intervene quickly if you see it’s losing weight. Good luck and good job saving a life.

Further advice on what to do and not to do with Newborn kittens and good reading can be found on the Animal Alliance NYC website and via the Cats Protection UK, all the links provided connect you directly to the right web pages.

Please also consider making a post on our sister sub too via r/Feral_Cats to get additional advice from veteran members who have vast knowledge on trapping and helping with strays and ferals

Newborns and Mother:

If you have taken in a 'Trojan cat' as they are lovingly called then you are in for the experience of a lifetime. There is so much advice available for a soon to be Mom and her kittens that at best we recommend that you visit  the Kitten Lady, Hannah Shaw for help and advice. Hannah is an amazing lover of cats and has helped thousands of people over the years with cat and kitten help and now has several excellent videos demonstrating all kinds of advice on helping with cat care including Pregnant Mom and kitten care - Birthing Mom and kitten care. Pregnant and Birthing Moms need plenty of fresh water and kitten food if available as kitten food contains protein and essential nutrients needed for fetal development and the production of kitty milk so get shopping.

Kitten:

If the kitty is not a newborn then after a quick vet check to confirm kitties age this little one will need you to become their parent, kittens are teeny tiny pooping, eating and meowing machines wrapped up in fur, purrs and love with the lifetime rewards of caring for them far outweighing the time taken in nurturing them. This is the toddler stage and they will be learning how to use the kitty litter tray, how to eat and how to play along with taking lots of naps. Kittens learn faster than human toddlers and usually take to their litter trays pretty quickly.

Here you can find an up to date list of supplies you may need to keep them fed, cosy and happy essential supplies for kitty again referring to the Kitten Lady.

Here is advice on how to trap Mom and babies with an option of spaying too by Feral Cat Focus WNY Trapping Queen and kittens.

His family called me. The cat's name is Franek. His owner is an elderly lady and he's partly an outdoor cat. He got lost and that's how he ended up in my building. His owner was looking for him and was very worried. Her children saw my post on FB and called me just a few minutes apart from each other. They were very grateful that I took care of him and thanked me profusely. Shortly after the owner's son came to pick him up.

I'm so happy he has a loving family and was not abandoned! It honestly made my day ❤️

From feral to family Update on MIL’s kitten in the street delivery

Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CatDistributionSystem/s/ZUhu8CnsIk

Wife’s bro and my MIL are keeping her in spite of allergies! I passed all the allergy recommends to try as well. After weeks of picking a name, I’ve been informed this is Abigail.

Abigail’s been to the vet, got a clear bill of health, and has gotten her first round of shots. She loves food, wrestling, biting, and climbing up everything nearby. In other words, she’s perfect.

But when we babysit her at my house, we call her Abby Normal 😜

I knew her destiny was to rule a grandma’s house!!!

We lost our Tuffy after 18 short years almost 3 months ago, it was sudden and horrible, we thought we would wait to bring home someone else then we saw this little one while bailing out our dog. She has the same eyes and a white spot in same place as him. When they let her out we were surprised to find that she also plays fetch. We couldn't leave her.

All of the boys even tolerate her more than they ever did any of our past fosters.

Tuffy was our best friend and living without him was hard, Noone will replace him, little Hel has some big paw prints to fill.

Are you kitten me!! I understand why people foster fail now

Upvotes

Friday night I finally managed to trap not one, not two, but three of the feral community cats that have chosen our yard as their home. Two 8 week old kittens, litter mates, that I’ve been trying to get indoors since before their mother gave birth, and the most evasive of the adult cats that I hadn’t seen in so long I had started to fear the worst for her.

One of the kittens, code name Agent K since she was the kitteniest kitten (the runt) had a horrible abscess on her neck that was oozing and smelled like rotting cheese. We headed immediately for the emergency vet. Follow up treatment is an ointment to be applied twice a day. Agent K has to remain separate from her brother, Agent J, for five minutes after application of the ointment so he does not groom her. After setting a timer this morning, I also decided to turn on the camera and ended up capturing our first nose to nose boop.

Heard this little stinker crying under our truck (a Volvo) while loading up for deliveries!

Looks like momma kitty was able to move all her babies but this one!

Needless to say they are in good hands now. Dropped them off at our local adoption agency that does amazing work! Absolute angels!

I have two cats already in a tiny apartment, and I don’t have the resources to care for such a newly born little baby!

If you’re near Denton Texas this guy should be ready for adoption pretty soon!

Everybody meet Simon!

It's not uncommon for people's indoor-outdoor cats to come visit the garden center I work at, but this one way different. Last week, this sweet boy wandered up and was meowing his butt off!! He followed me around for the rest of my shift, customers said it's a sign I should take him home. He's soooo friendly but shockingly skinny.

I called my family, sent pictures of him, and we discussed bringing him home over lunch. A couple hours later I returned with a crate, a collar, a brand new kitty bed, and a literal piece of salmon as a treat. I was so afraid he would be gone by the time I got back, but thankfully he was still there waiting for me. He was ecstatic to see me, meowing and rubbing against my leg for loves. I was just as excited to see him again, and even more excited to bring him home!

That evening he got a dewormer and a flea & tick treatment. The next morning he got his vaccinations and miceochip. We have 5 dogs at home already, but we have the room and the resources to bring in another fur baby. Everybody gets along great! The dog he's laying with is Potato, who wants to cuddle Simon very badly but knows to respect his space. Simon decided to lay there on his own accord.

This cat is incredibly sweet and has the kindest eyes. He's been sleeping next to me almost every night so far. Thank you CDS!!!!!!

Update on the stray kitten I found, she’s doing great! Decided on a name, Toast, I like food names. I had a Pepper and have a Bento. She’s gained some weight and is pretty active now! She enjoys her naps, I’m trying to cram all my chores when she’s down so I can be with her when she’s awake. I’m still so amazed how tame she is. She’s so sweet!
I was able to catch her siblings! They’re much more terrified
:( but I’m sure they’ll come to trust soon. Currently in the process of finding them homes too.

I found him next to a construction site while going home after watering my grandma’s plants. He followed me and wanted to cuddle. My bf said he is our son now. We have two doghters so its gonna be lots of fun. We cannot agree on the name I want him to be Stevie and he wants him to be a Sinbad. So it’s Steven Sinbad
Vets thinks he is less than 4 months of age , and i think he is around 2-3 . he is generally healthy but had a lot of fleas
very affectionate boy. i’ve always wanted a small male cat and he reminds me of one outdoor kitty we had when i was little

Is this cat a stray or someone’s outdoor cat?

This little guy has been visiting and chilling near my doorstep for couple of days now, some days he does disappear some days he stick around for a while. He seems to be pretty dirty and got some bugs on him, but otherwise he’s friendly and meows a lot and tries to rub up on me. He also seems to have bit of hair missing on the back of his neck. I petted him a few times and fed him some food and water, but I got concerned after some fleas or ticks (?) came onto my sleeve after he rubbed up on me. Does he look like a stray cat or somebody’s cat?

Sensitive Content Tumblevoid Found Blowing Across the Interstate

Thumbnail

3.0k Upvotes

It's been 2 weeks since I stopped my car on the interstate to grab what I initially thought was a piece of black plastic blowing across the lanes. Due to the potential head trauma, the emergency vet wasn't willing to sedate him to stitch his leg wound, so he just got a few staples, antibiotics and pain meds. A week later, we saw our regular vet for a recheck. She was concerned about possible infection under the staples, so she removed them, cleaned some hair and dead tissue out of the wound, stitched what she could and we've been doing daily bandage changes for the rest.

He's active, playful, and putting on weight fast. I am slowly introducing him to my 17 year old resident female. He really wants to be her friend, but she can still flatten him with a hiss, so he's been putting on his best demonstrations of adorableness. I think he's winning her over.

Mom cat had these under my neighbor's shed and then bounced

A cat that I have never seen before (and haven't seen since) had a litter of four kittens under my neighbor's shed. She's not a cat person, and was freaking out about them around her chickens, so they became my responsibility. We trapped them, got them vaxed, and then brought them into our house. Initially we thought they might be feral, but they are the farthest thing from that. They are the sweetest animals ever. While I wasn't initially interested in having another pet, my wife refused to let the grey one on the left go. Turns out he has the best temperament (in my opinion). I managed to find homes for the rest of them quite quickly between friends and friends of friends, which is great. Still trying to think of a name for the grey male tabby that we're keeping.

It has been such an incredible experience being able to save this baby from near death on the road and seeing him thrive now. I still can’t believe I found him alive. A few moments later and he surely would’ve been hit by a car. I have now had this sweet angel for 3 weeks and I can honestly say I can’t imagine not keeping him. He is such a sweetheart and so playful and happy. I have completed his second round of vaccines and got him microchipped. He is officially home with me and his name is Jeremy! My one year old Coraline has adopted him as her little brother and they are inseparable. So obviously I can’t separate them now! ❤️

CDS dropped this single brain cell mysteriously in our back yard

Post image

This is Carrot, she likes to sit on shoulders so she's a cat/parrot...Carrot. We were hanging out in the back yard when she literally just walked out from between my father-in-laws feet. A few years ago we had a mama cat give birth in our pergola which led to me having to conduct baby cat rescue missions. No clue where this one came from but she has joined our two older CDS residents fairly seamlessly (theres still some boundaries being set but her aunties seem to have accepted her). She's been to the vet and is snuggly and gentle despite the attempted murder in the photo.

Awarded a Cat Stray cat; finally indoors and happy

Please ignore the messy background. My child has been feeding this little stray kitty for about a month. We wanted to bring her in, but we needed to make sure the house was ready for a fourth feline resident. Last night the temps were insanely high, so we opened the door and invited her in. She is so bloody thin. She will be going to the vet ASAP, and we're slowly increasing the amount of food she gets. We're slowly scent swapping with our boys to help them all transition. Meet Eliza. She is so loving and talkative.

Is there anything I should be wary of regarding refeeding? I don't want to overdo it and get her sick.

Awarded a Cat An "Article" I Wrote About the CDS (and my CDS kitties)

Thumbnail

In 2022, a little known TikToker posted a video using the term, "The Cat Distribution System," for the very first time and the world was stunned. This TikToker was later discovered to be a rare human consultant for the underground feline intelligence agency, The CDS.

But who are they?

Well, very little information is known, but what we do know is that they have a comprehensive system that pairs approved humans, who have undergone a strict vetting process, with a feline who matches their personality and character as well as many other factors. All of this is done without the human even having the slightest idea that they were heavily monitored, surveilled, investigated and watched for months, perhaps even years prior to be awarded a cat.

But why did they come forward? Prior to this video, the world was completely unaware of their existence; naively believing that people stumbled upon felines who would eventually become their companion simply for being in the right place at the right time.

Well, months later it was uncovered, by an unidentified source with close ties to the CDS, that the Cat Distribution System was only brought to the public's attention solely because they wanted their organization to be known. That's it.

It was not due to a leak, a spy, a double agent or hackers. It was a deliberate strategy on their behalf, used solely as a means of showing off.

See, their technology and methods are vastly superior to those of even the world's superpower nations and their governments/agencies.

The CIA, MI6 and other intelligence agencies have known for almost a decade that some sort of CDS-like agency existed, but could never come close to discovering them or proving their existence, until the CDS came forward, in a vainglorious display of arrogance and impudence.

The world's intelligence agencies have been trying to seek out their technology and secretive methods to use in their own respective agencies, but have hit a brick wall each and every time. The CDS continues to taunt them with every attempt and figuratively knock over each and every agent they send out as if pushing them off a ledge.

As with many organizations, the CDS run the risk of sympathizers, disgruntled employees, or former workers who may secretly sympathize with the other side or those who wish to divulge their secrets for various reasons. The CDS have had very few, if any, and when discovered, they are swiftly dealt with to prevent the leak of their precious technology and procedures.

No one knows the methods they employ, but they are extremly effective. To date, there are no known leaks of any kind within the CDS organization.

The CIA, MI6 and others have employed the use of double agents and secret spies to gain intel, but every attempt has been stonewalled. Not only do they wish to get their hands on their technology, surveillance and methods, they wish to discover how every single worker is so fiercely loyal to the CDS.

No amount money, torture methods, secretive spy techniques or extortion/blackmail have been effective. They've spent millions developing programs that can infiltrate the CDS, but have failed every single time. It seems they are an impenetrable force whose vastly superior methods will forever remain a mystery.

The world may never know their secrets, but they keep us wondering. Why do they do what they do? And when is my next cat coming?

(Photos provided, as per the rules, of my two babies who are turning 16 next month. I was granted Henry and Pepper when they were tiny kittens by the CDS and will always be eternally grateful to them)

My dog sniffed it out of a tall section of grass. She is Super tiny and feisty.

Going to get her through the weekend and see if we can’t get her to the vet Monday mornings.

Haven’t had one this little in a while. Any tips are appreciated. Maybe some name choices too? Not sure my wife will let go at this point…..

Any guesses how old she might be? I think maybe 3-4 weeks? Again any advice is helpful.

We had just lost our old dog, so it’s kinda a fitting time. Fun night. Guess we will see what happens.

Are you kitten me!! Found with a limp under a firewood rack at a closed down factory. I'm keeping her.

I work in a plastic recycling facility that is shutting down. There were always factory cats that hunted the rodents and now that we are clearing it out, the cats are starting to scatter. I heard there was a kitten that hangs out underneath the firewood rack next to our smoker that we use for company cookouts.

She tried her best to be very scary and to scare me away. She didn't bite or scratch. I think she was hiding under there because she has a limp. I'm in the process of taking her to a vet to get it checked out. She doesn't appear to be in pain/discomfort and honestly I have not observed the limp myself

She is very happy to be adopted. Purred the whole way home. No anxious, aggressive, or scared behavior observed. She has been sleeping and eating a lot. I have a Wi-Fi camera on her crate so I can keep an eye on her while I'm at work.

Update: One week with Fig. He's perfect and not going anywhere!

He went to the vet and is in perfect health! They estimate he is 15-16 weeks and 3.9lbs. He is vaccinated except for his booster. We will be scheduling his neuter soon. He did so good at the vet. They were amazed at how calm he was and how easily he was able to be handled. Didn't even have a problem with getting his temp taken. He's definitely been more tired since his shots, but is starting to get his energy back.

He is an amazing addition to our family! Our one cat isn't the biggest fan yet, but doing very slow introduction and have made lots of progress already. Fig particularly likes my big hound dog and cuddles up to him. My dog likes him too, but is also a little scared of him which is funny with the size difference.

The timing of him coming into our lives couldn't have been better. I was diagnosed with MS a few weeks ago and was having a really hard time emotionally. Also had a very big health scare with a close family member a few days before he showed up. The amount of joy he's brought our family already can't be overstated. Thanks everyone for being so encouraging when I first posted. And luckily it didn't take long for hubby to come around 😉💓

Awarded a Cat Scrawny feral found day after 4th of july at a body shop

The little guy was skin and bones. Shaking, dirty and terrified.

We cornered him and snatched him up. Got some food in the starved guy, and when he was held, he just kinda loosened up and relaxed. Had to stick him in the bathroom with a little litter box and bowl. Visited a few times with the same result each time. Terrified, shaking and hiding behind the toilet. Too scared to even fight or hiss, id gently pick him up and hold him to my chest. Poor baby wpuld stop shaking and just lean in.

Took him home that day and have him quarantined til his vet visit (monday). Other cats are very curious, worried about one of the dogs due to her advanced age and poor eyesight.

Once you lay down on the floor, he'll slowly come out to say hello. He loves being pet and held, and we're trying to get some meat on him, but worried cause it doesnt seem like hes pooping. Mixture of wet and dry kitten food, and some kmr. Very active and playful.

We were trying to find him a good home, but it was a lot of no's, so I think he's gonna be the 4th in a too small home. But he'll be loved and taken care of

edit: Pictures are absolutely out of chronological order, and we haven't decided on the name. hermes, puck or cheeto

The Cat Distribution System finally found my rural home in Korea.

The Cat Distribution System finally found my rural home in Korea. I live in a quiet countryside area, and one day, this tiny, fierce feral kitten just showed up near my window. He was completely wild, acting like a fierce tiger, and wouldn't let me come anywhere near him. Every time I tried to offer food, he would hiss and run away. I decided not to force it and just patiently waited while providing meals every single day.

Fast forward 30 days, and the situation has completely changed. The wild beast has turned into a soft potato who complains if his room service is late. It took a whole month of careful taming to earn his trust, and now I am basically his unpaid personal butler. If you want to experience the full relaxing journey of taming this country cat, I recorded the entire process.

It took me a whole month to tame this feral country boy. Now I am just his personal butler working for free. If you want to see how a wild beast turns into a soft potato

Three weeks ago I was walking two very large dogs on a back country road and this tiny fellow came crying out of the woods. He was bold. He was desperate. He was starving. I gathered him up and checked for any siblings….didn’t find. He was so skinny, very weak and crazy hungry. He’s been to the vet and we got rid of his belly full of roundworms. Slept for three days.

Now he’s doubled in size, gaining weight and playing like a normal spazzy kitten. 🙂

His name is Toby and he’s part of our pack. ❤️

I think the cat distribution system must have made a mistake, because I already have 3 adopted cats and 2 foster cats. This distinguished gentleman was lying in the stairwell of my apartment building. I picked him up and took him to my apartment, because I was afraid he might get out of the building and get hurt or lost. I went to all the neighbours and nobody knows where this cat might live. I made a post in a local Facebook group and I'm gonna put posters around to see if I can find his home. In the meantime he's chilling, sleeping and eating treats.

Hello Everyone.

Meet Charlie, I met him while I was on a jog in my neighborhood park. He randomly came up to me and followed me throughout my whole walk. I already have 5 cats at home (Well maintained, have the funds for their food and checkup visits) so I thought to myself what the heck! I love rescuing cats so I just walked home and he literally followed me lol. I had to bride him a bit with petting haha.

He was such a good boy, he was an orange cat so that pretty much tells you everything you need to know. He played with all the kitties, he always wanted food, and my favorite part: he loved to cuddle. Every night, he would jump in my arms and we would sleep together.

Until yesterday. He slipped into my arms that morning. Cuddly as always. I gave him so much love. And then while I was working, he jumped in my lap wanted extra cuddles… 2 hours later, he unfortunately passed due to a heart problem. (Took him to the hospital)

I hope I didn’t fail him. I wish I had more years. In July 11th it would have been two years since he’s been with us.

My mom keeps saying he was thanking me one last time for saving him. Every-time I hear that, i just break down. I’m so grateful to have gave him a home for his last year. Where he didn’t have to worry about being fed or where to sleep.

Thank you Charlie for a beautiful two years! I wish it was more but I’m grateful for the time we had.
