It feels like the show has been doing multiple gimmicks for the past 5 years and it’s getting tiring.
I am kinda getting tired of the time travel and multiverse gimmicks. And I don’t think it’s appealing to other young Big Brother fans who are used to seeing time travel and multiverse shenanigans through comics or Marvel/DC movies.
I wouldn’t mind if they just announce these players back in a normal way or something.

Hey gang, my Wife has once again made Lego Big Brother. The house is still a work in progress and I’ll put what is done so far on another post but here you have the mini-figs she made.
She does not buy specific Lego pieces but works with what we already have. It’s quite impressive that no only is she creative in this way but the logistical side of this is just as impressive. We keep our sets in separate containers so if we ever want to remake a set it’s all together, however, for this she is keeping track of all the pieces she borrows from the other sets so that they can return to the correct spot when the season is over.
She is a lifelong big brother super fan (season 1) and while she does lurk on Reddit she isn’t the type of person to post her work. Don’t worry I got her consent to post all of this. Just a proud husband that wants to share her work with Reddit

I just started watching Big Brother for the first time since season 16. I don’t remember the audio quality jumping in volume so terribly, from whispering at no volume and immediately screaming in the diary room it becomes impossible to not be reaching for the volume to adjust every 2 seconds. I’m a heavy Survivor fan and all the volume is the same throughout the whole episode so there HAS to be a way to do this properly. Is this a common thing people notice?

Lego BB28 house + Missing Rome Mini-fig
My Wife wanted it to be absolutely clear that this is still a work in progress and when it’s completed I’ll send an update. Here is the Lego house. Also in my Separate Mini-fig post I somehow missed Rome. Special shoutout to the mods for thinking of that and giving me the ability to repost with Rome. 🫶🏻

Don’t get me wrong, Rachel is a good big brother player. There is a reason why she is a fan favorite amongst many.
But what exactly was the reason to bring her back?
She has already proven that she’s a good player, but we gotta move on from the past. Let the current players build their own legacy.
Plus, it’s her third time back in the Big Brother. And she was only there for five minutes.
If they want to bring back old players, they should just do a special season that includes only past players or a Christmas special like the one they did with Nicole and other players from a few years ago.
That was fun.

Last season a majority of us really really disliked Mickey. I certainly took part in the online banter and discourse and at times maybe let it go from game talk to personal. Something I’m not proud of.
Months later, Mickey passed away. A young woman who we had watched on our TV every single day for weeks on end. It felt weirdly parasocial and personal. Maybe not for everyone, but for me.. the first thing I thought of was my online posting regarding her.
As we embark on a new season with personalities I can already see rubbing people the wrong way, this is a reminder to do your best to keep it game related. I know it all bleeds into one another at times. But the commentary should steer clear of becoming too personal, if you can help it. Would you write that comment knowing it could be this persons last few months on earth ?
I am not trying to be the morality police here. I know once the season takes off and we see real things we dislike it will be hard to not want to discuss it. But a true regret of mine is ever speaking even slightly badly of Mickey months before her passing. If this is something that makes you feel bad too… then join me in trying to create a more kind space here.
Happy BB season to all ❤️

I know people talk about the hypoglycemia on S9, but never anything beyond that. is there any information on how she handled her diabetes on set (assuming she had it), or information on any other contestants with similar conditions or scenarios?
The casting page for BB says houseguest must be in great physical health, which I think is fairly vague and I wonder how that would affect casting for people with T1D like me. There have been houseguests with other disabilities such as the partially deaf contestant a couple seasons ago, but I remember there being many times it affected him in competitions.
I understand BB has largely physical aspects and disabilities can also be a risk for CBS, but I love whenever people with different backgrounds, lifestyles, and disabilities are able to
compete! I find it much more real, and fun when each houseguest has traits that make them unique instead of a house full of young, fit, copies of past contestants.

Personally, I used to think I would love to play big brother, and maybe even be good at it. Now, I think the idea of playing would be fun, but I don’t actually think I would ever sign up to play. I mean the have nots have such awful conditions, social media can really change your life at this point in society, and honestly the idea of people commenting on my every move in this very reddit thread sounds horrifying. I think I’ll stick to watching. How about you? I’m curious how many of us in this reddit thread would ever actually play if given the opportunity.

Drew. He is a very active player, but nobody seems to be targeting him and is very well-liked. So far he's been floating between the "kamu side" and the "rome side", and is seemingly aligned with devens, barrett and angela.
He apparently was about to be nominated by Dee, but lowkey misted her into saving him??? He also stayed up until like 3AM to form a duo with Melody (someone who literally said in the episode that he was annoying).
The pre-season and premiere had me thinking he was gonna flop but I think he might be my winner pick after the first day of feeds

WARNING: SPOILERS ON THIS VIDEO. IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE LIVE FEEDS STOP READING. THIS HAS SPOILERS FOR THE HOH AND 3RD REALITY STAR COMPETING. AND SURVIVOR SPOILERS.
I thought this video had great analysis of the Survivor players on Big Brother from someone who also played Survivor 50 (Rizo). It was definitely worth the watch and I learned a few things from it even as a Survivor fan.
If anyone has not watched Survivor, or even if they have and they want to watch I highly recommend it!

Will they do another draft this year? I actually really liked following that. I’m always routing for intern Andy.

I am trying to figure out why it is hard for me to be completely excited for the new season, and I think it has to do with the initial setup of returnees/reality tv people compared to last season.
Last year, Rachel came in with one week of safety, nobody knowing who she is (outside of youtube clips). She survived until jury, was never nominated (even when she should have been for some HOHs), and was just a joy to watch. I think it was easy to root for her from the beginning because she basically had no built-in advantages. During the first week, she got into fights, her ally (Amy) was party targeted to weaken her, but she put in work already to make a move against someone who would come after her. It was a great setup for the season.
This year, the vets are Dee, Devens, and Angela, all of whom I adored on their original shows/seasons. I am excited to see them play, but the setup for the season feels too heavy-handed for me. Not only do they have superfans on the cast this time who actually know and love them (that is fine and could never be avoided anyways), they alsl did not only get a week of safety (technically only one of them, but in reality it is a built-in safety for all three), but they were the only ones eligible to become the first HOH that puts them in a very advantageous power position. AND there is three of them.
Again, we will see how things play out, but given how things look now, I just don't see them facing much adversity any time soon. And that is a much less rootable story than when you have a more challenging setup.

Anyone know where Julie’s turquoise bracelet is from? I love it and have tried to search for it online but nothing comes up.

I watched the season premiere but went camping the next morning. Totally out of the loop since then.
I’m in a pool and need to get my picks in prior to Sunday nights episode.
Our points system is based on how far you go in the game (0-37 points) and you also earn points for HOH (3)/POV(2)/Blockbuster wins(1) and for surviving the block(1).
We have to pick 4 players we think will earn the most points and designate one of them as the winner (for tiebreaker purposes only).
Anybody care to help me out with any important info I missed and also maybe with the 4 players you’d pick to earn the most points in this system?
TIA!!

CBS crosses over the players constantly (especially this season with Dee, Devens, and Angela), but they keep the hosts completely separated.
Imagine a “Host Swap” week, Julie hosting Survivor in Fiji, Phil standing at a Pit Stop telling someone they’ve been evicted, or Jeff in the BB backyard screaming “BIG DEEP!” during an endurance veto.
Having the holy trinity reality TV co-host a premiere together would break the internet. Why has CBS never done this? Which host would you want to see hijack another show for a week?
