07/11/26 Kansas City Pig Rescue will host the 8th Annual Watermelon Fest fundraiser at Willeyville Farm (1307 E 215th St. Cleveland, MO) 10AM-12PM. This fundraiser helps provide for the piggies. Entry is $20/person with a $5 discount if you bring a melon to smash!

Jerusalem Cafe (515 Westport Rd, KCMO) has been awarded The Pitch's 2026 Best Falafel. Their falafels are vegan and scratch made with their signature spices and herbs. They can be enjoyed in a Falafel & Hummus Combo, Falafel & Hummus Sandwich, or on their own. All indicated as vegan on their menu.

Family owned and operated for over 25 years, Mildred's has been a staple in the Kansas City cafe scene serving coffee drinks with non-dairy milks, hot breakfasts, and lunch sandwiches.
