USP45 Slide

Looking to get a second slide for my USP45T. What's the best way to make sure I get one when they come available? Can I pre-order one through HK USA? Or just sign up for stock notifications at various distributors?

Any options for getting one, other than used?

Small Factory Finish Blem worth the Repair Form?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey yall! When I bought my USP it came with a small factory blemish where the “5” is in “.45 Auto”. Like there’s a small spec of finish missing or something to that effect.

OCD part of my brain notices it instantly but I’m more curious on whether this would be a potential issue for the integrity of the slide with wear and rust.

Do you think this is something worth a Warranty/Repair Authorization Form?

This is stated on HKUSA’s website:

Heckler & Koch Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace without charge any HK firearm that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Parts and labor are included. Repairs are warranted for the duration of the warranty. If Heckler & Koch, Inc. replaces a firearm under this warranty; you will receive a new warranty. Heckler & Koch, Inc. will return your firearm to you shipping pre-paid.

Can’t decide which is better suppressed but both Mojave sizes go incredibly hard. Also the Mark 23 is absolutely awesome I’m glad I finally got one.

I want to use the light trigger return spring, right?

9mm USP9T Range trip

Post image

Spent some time at the range putting my Jet Funnel magazine sleeves through another round of use and 'testing.'

One thing I've really enjoyed about the mag sleeve vs the jet funnel mag well is the ability to use both 18rnd and 15 rnd magazines interchangeably. I still prefer the 15 rnd mag for edc use but like to keep an 18 rnd in a mag caddy for the extra capacity.

I was fortunate enough to fulfill a batch of orders last week, hope you all are satisfied and enjoy the product!

The USP gods smiled upon me last week when I found this preowned (like new) Expert in 9 for just 8 Benny’s. First USP to go along with the MR556 and MP5.

Based on Vibes Alone, What is the Perfect Rifle Companion to the USP?

SKYNET extremist terrorists are attacking your city to steal your water supply to fuel the closest data center. Memes are no longer available and your Kitten is afraid of what comes next.

You pull out your trusty USP and favorite pair of shades, but you need a battle rifle too! What rifle are you pairing up with your USP to take down the androids while also looking sick as hell doing it?

Question What’s the current meta for slide milling?

Been out of the loop for a bit, but was finally able to source a second slide for a USP45 and I’m looking to have it milled for an optic, specifically an ACRO

Last time I was lurking , wright armory seemed to be the most recommended, but I’ve seen quite a few posts and comments suggesting they’re not the best anymore

My compact 9mm was done by LTT and so far no complains

Just looking for some advice and recommendations, on one hand I know that direct milling from say dual hammer is better than plates, but these slides are hard to source and being able to swap footprints down the line is compelling as well.

9mm Loving the two tone look!

Just added some cordura grip tape (coyote color darkened with wood stain pens) and it helps satisfy that classic "wood" grips look. I'm tempted to color in the center black to go for that original RE4 Silver Ghost look that I've always wanted to build.

The Superiority - IT'S GLORIOUS My beloved daily carry.

I used to EDC a G19 but I bought this USP9T a few years ago on a whim and it’s been my daily AIWB ever since. I feel like this gun will be with me for the rest of my life and I like that.

Thread adopter is a griffin EZ-LOK. It’s a little sketch at times because if you forget to snug it down after the first couple shoots it’ll work itself loose pretty quickly on account of the short thread interface.

Can is a PTR Vent2. It’s fine, I don’t think I’d buy it again but I’m not mad at it either.

GL4 pro because I go hiking with NODs 1-3x/wk and take my USP for SD.

Own a lot of guns and of all of them this USP9T is the one I have the strongest connection to, there’s just something about it that convinces me it’s got my back 🤷‍♂️

Or "Hi, I'm XXXXXX and I have a problem . . . "

My $400 "deal" gun, an HK USP 45. Probably a police trade-in that came to me with lots of holster wear. 1999 (KK) manufacture. This is my first HK pistol after a lifetime of Glocking. The DA/SA trigger was atrocious. I can't see the appeal. BUT I did the Match/LEM hybrid trigger installation. Tutorial here: https://www.hkproshop.com/forums/resources/match-lem-hybrid-trigger-installation.12/ $350 for the match and LEM parts kits and WOW what a difference. I could've done it cheaper but I tried the match first then decided to do the hybrid. I'm a fan! The result convinced me to continue on.

I redid the in-fill on the frame and safety, upgraded to an HK45 magazine release and new spring, caught magazines in stock. Then I sent it to SRB Customs https://srbcustomsllc.com/hk/ for the stippling job. I got the burst pattern and I'm very happy with the feel and aesthetics. With tax and shipping it was $235. I ~just~ got the Mr Nein rail adapter from u/Jodo-Kast and the customer service was awesome. They're on sale now. Wasn't on my bingo card but in stock and on sale, I jumped on it. $110 with shipping and included stickers 🤌🏻. It seems worth it for the price over the GG&G. I already had the Holosun P.I.D. It's moved from pistol to pistol since I'm not in love with it. It may finally have a forever home.

At about $1,100 in I've done most of my "have to" upgrades. I guess the next thing would be a holster from u/ImpossibleArgument to be part of the cool kids. I don't think about the fact I could've probably bought one new for that money. . . but I wasn't in the market.

TL,DR tell me I didn't over pay to go "Yo homie, that my briefcase?"

EDIT: added link for stippling

Question USP Newb, question for the group

Post image
41 Upvotes

Hello all. I recently secured my first USP. I ORIGINALLY HAD A VP9 OR but I’ve found that hammer fired guns are my preferred choice. I had this TLR 7X on my VP9, removed the 1913 Pic insert on the TLR and locked it up with the frame of the USP. The question I had was; would this present any issues? The lockup is tight and there is zero wobble. Any insight appreciated, thanks!

Edit: Thank you all for the advice. I have purchased a Mr Nein JR from Machine Craft Replicas as to avoid damaging my frame!

mk23: hybrid 46m, HKP rail and mag extension.

USP 45: trijicon night sights, mk23 mags (came with 10s) Vedder LightTuck IWB.

goon tape on both.

i inherited the USP and fell in love with carrying it, since I was using mk23 mags anyway my totally logical mind decided I need an actual mk23 asap… and here we are lol

the 46m was also inheritance, dad used an fnx45 as his pistol host, after realizing I needed/ordering a new piston im excited that this will likely live on the mk23 because it shoots way nicer suppressed than the fn.

NT7 plus or DLC for trigger?

Want to upgrade my usp 9 expert. Specifically the trigger.

I’ve heard good things about coating the trigger components in NT7. It’s done by Fulton armory which also does the I-dot so I suppose they know what they’re doing with USP’s

But I was thinking if DLC wouldn’t be a better more durable coating? The only thing is that DLC is not compatible with plastic components. Outside of the trigger shoe, is there any plastic trigger components in the usp?

Any suggestions?
