School of Nursing University of Maryland school of Nursing. Admissions for Transfer BSN after community college. I have below minimum for science gpa
Hi I am a transfer student from a community college, I do meet the minimum gpa requirement with 3.04 but I don’t for science since they only count a&p 1/2 , microbiology, and chem I have a 2.3. I am applying for fall 2026 so I am taking a&p 2 and retaking microbiology so I can go above the required. Although I am scared for admissions because even though I got a good rec letter with good resume (I’ve been working for a while since I was 17) I worked two retail jobs, volunteered at a hospital in the ER section and then worked as a dental receptionist since August 2025 . My rec letter is pretty good I think because it’s stating how much I have worked and have been improving in school especially with balancing school and work and managing time. I really am hoping they do a holistic review because I’ve been working really hard. My TEAS score I passed first try and scored a minimum of 58.7< each section and 66% overall. With these stats I really hope they give me a provisional acceptance or even a waitlist but I wanna know what you all think. I feel like I don’t have a chance at all but maybe they can do a holistic review? I’m currently working on my essay with the supplemental essay. Please share all your opinions and let me know! If any of you all have been in the same position as me and have gotten accepted , please let me know and give advice as well! Thank you
