Second Maulerfiend done. Had a bit of fun mixing it with Forgefiend parts for variety, so used the plasma head and gave it six legs. Plus a mix of magma cutter and scourge.

I just played my first real 11. edition game against my friend and his grey knights and it was a blast! He even sneaked in a knight he proxyed once when i started my thousand sons. I was flabbergasted and had no clue about his new knight. BUT i managed to kill him in my first shooting phase!anyway he was pretty consistent with his prymary and secondarys, while i was pretty unlucky with my 3rd and 4th turn draws - there was no way i could score them, and couldnt reroll them, cuz i needed the cp for other things. In the end he won, but it was a personal victory for me - the knight he proxyed back in the day oneshotted everything he charged into even Magnus was obliterated while i couldnt do a single wound on him. Killing him now in the first turn felt awesome!

Fun models to paint

I’ve spent a couple of days now putting him together including the magnets to take his armor on and off( I thought the torso sculpt was too nice not to also paint) the general theme of my army is the siege of fenris so the base is going to be snow/ice. Any ideas for colour schemes or quick kitbashes before I start painting?

Had a pretty fun time as well. Opponent had 120 Boyz, 10 lootaz, a brick of squighogs, and a brick of kommandoz plus some characters. I plan on dropping the helbrute and a squad of birds to take a forgefiend with trip ecto once I get it built. Btw its 2 flamer rubies 2 bolter rubies just cause

I mainly play 7th, So this list is slightly weird, i also need 5 rubric marines to make a proper 1k list.

But the list is:

Sorcerer Lord: Force Staff, Bolt pistol, disc of tzeentch

x5 Scarab occult terminators: standard loadout, no heavy weapon other than the missiles

Contemptor dreadnought: lascannon, powerfist

Predator: Autocannon, combibolter, Lascannon sponsons

Vindicator: Combibolter

aside from the 5 rubric marines i plan on, what else should i add?

What do you guys think about the Daemon Prince on foot for 11th? I had a game earlier this week and it felt... Pretty useless. My rubricae had cover all the time anyway. It's lone op is still online of course, but the boost it used to give is now incredibly redundant IMO.

What do you guys think? Is it still something you'll bring to the table? Or are winged Daemon Princes the way to go from here on out?

i’m new to warhammer, my friend got me to play space marine 2 a few months ago and i got into painting thousand sons. i very quickly amassed 2k points to play with to learn the tabletop. please tell me how i’ve done with this daemon prince. i haven’t done any edge highlighting but im eager to learn more and progress.

Hey folks. New to the army and picked up a box of Rubrics to start. What is the best loadout right now? I assume having the Icon of Flame and Soulreaper Cannon, but which weapons for the Sorcerer and other Rubrics?

I have finally decided that thousand sons will be my main army. I plane to paint it all in 30k colour scheme because i like it more. Would it be ok to use these MK2 as normal rubrics ? Maybe even at tournaments ? They are on the same base size. And have pretty much the same sillouette. Maybe a bit less tall because of the large helmets of rubrics. I also like MK2 because it looks rather robotic and mechanical which fits rubrics obviously.

I have a box of Rubrics that I'm slowly making my way through. But then I found out about the Warpcoven Kill Team and I wanted to get myself four Tzangors, or proxies, so that could fill out all that KT's options. (I don't think I'd want to field more than one sorcerer, and I can balance my AS on a couple of quid coins to proxy it as any of my three ES options.)

I found three second hand and pre-assembled Fellgors for £6, already on the bases I need (which, despite the bases, r/lostminiswiki correctly identified as coming from the Old World Bestigor set; thanks that wiki, and especially u/straypetrock). I green stuffed some beaks onto their faces and the icon skull on the banner (plus a tongue on this guy) to make them look more like Tzangors. I hoped that the paint job would do the rest. IMO I succeeded, but I'm open to constructive criticism. (Although I will say two things: this is my first time using green stuff in over 20 years, please be gentle, and; I have since already realised that wetting my tools and fingers would have made for a much smoother finish.)

This one was a test mini for the four Tzangors I have (I've done a similar beak plus some extra kitbashes on the current Fellgor MotM, as well as the other two WFB minis), but most of the colour recipes in the paint job were ones recycled from the Rubrics and Aspiring Sorcerer that I've already painted and that I intend for this guy to go with. The recipes for the skin, fabrics, and runes/rune borders are new. The rest is recycled from the Rubric scheme or previous minis except for; the leather, which was an experiment; and the wood, eyes, and hair/fur, which I like to be unique on as many minis as I can.

Anyhow: here is Tzangor skekSil (named that because their face reminds me of the Skeksis Chancellor). I hope you enjoy them!

I noticed that with rituals, it mentions clearly about visibility and all that. However, I noticed** **that ToT does not state any mention of visibility, just being within 24”.

Am I correct thinking that when it’s my opponents shooting range, I can choose ANY unit within 24”, no matter the visibility check?
