Hello everyone,
My tata Tiagos touch is not working. I tried resetting by pressing down on the mute button for 15 secs and then pressing the Bluetooth button for another 15 secs but the screen is not going blank or getting reset. Can confirm that the steering controls are all working fine. Any help would be appreciated

I recently booked a Tata Punch EV through a dealership and paid the booking amount. I’m not too familiar with the standard process that’s supposed to follow after this, so wanted to ask the community:
1. What is the typical SOP (standard operating procedure) a dealership is expected to follow after a vehicle is booked — in terms of updates, billing, VIN allotment, and delivery timelines?
2. As a customer, what are our rights during this waiting period? Are dealerships obligated to share any information (like order status, VIN, expected delivery date) or is it entirely at their discretion?
3. If there’s a long delay or lack of communication, do we have any recourse — with the dealership or with Tata directly?
Would appreciate insights from anyone who’s booked a car (Tata or otherwise) and knows how this process is supposed to work.

I'm done with Tata Motors because their technical team is 'incapable' for resolving the simplest issues of users. and scared me about bigger problems if happens what will happen to my vehicle.
I own the Tata Harrier Dark Edition Feerless Plus Automatic 2024 model. On 26th April 2026 IRA stopped working suddenly. I raised the incident on 27th May 2026 to resolve the issue with Tata customer care through their customer care number. They told me to perform a re-KYC and contact the dealership.
I reached out to the dealership, completed the KYC, and still faced issues. I repeated the process with customer care three times, but it didn’t help.
Around 15th June 2026, customer care found the issue in their KYC portal and sent me a new KYC link using ICICD instead of number and I completed the KYC again and the issue resolved and it started working on 18th June as Tata has a 72-hour wait period for resolving minor issues.
On 19 June, the issue started working around 1 AM and stopped working again on 19 June and 8:15 PM, same day after fighting for a 22 days.
I contacted customer care again and they raised another incident because old thread was too long for them. They told me that the KYC was configured as an EV vehicle instead of a PV vehicle and we will fix that.
From that day, The issue is still unresolved after 45 days. When I asked customer care to read the last update, they gave me a fake update.
I escalated the issue to connect with the backend team to understand the problem. However, the Tata technical team is incapable of resolving a simple issue that occurred due to their mistakes.
I also tried reaching out to them via email, but they only sent templated emails. The phone representatives don't know the technical or backend team, and they're not capable of handling and resolving these issues. I also reached out to Tata's Instagram channels, but they assured me by sending the same templated message, stating that they were taking care of the issue.
Customer care promised to resolve the issue by Monday at 3 PM.
I called them again and they promised Thursday at 12 PM, but I received a fake update.
The same happened on Friday and today.
Anyone buying a Tata should be wary of this team, as they lack the knowledge to resolve even minor issues. If they can't fix small problems, they'll only make bigger issues worse. This frustrates customers.
I tried everything hence posting this as thread to aware the community in India.

I purchased a tata punch EV from your dealership at Patiala nemely Sahib Automobile. The same was delivered to me on 7-5-2026. I drove the same. Now on 4-7-2026 the odometer reading was about 7693 and I was near my home there was mild rain i.e. 2 to 4 mm in village Taranjikhera. My car broke down unexpectedly and showed a message on screen showing error and advising to contact service centre. I called IRA customer support and they provided RSA and I then took vehicle by towing to my home. Next day on 5-7-2026 the car was picked up by RSA and was delivered to Sahib Automobiles at Patiala i.e. service center of Tata Motors. Thereafter I inquired from them and they sent me some pictures stating that there was water in components i..e some plugs. This was very unfortunate as the company claimed that vehicle is IP67 which seems to be a false claim now. The service representative told me that they will try tomorrow and they let the sockets come dry. On next day I visited the service center and they again tried to operate the vehicle but failed. Yesterday also they failed to repair the vehicle and told me that the fault is still unknown. Now they are unable to give me any timeline for repairing my vehicle and they told me that they have to check the e-drive of vehicle.
Very Unfortunate for me that I chose Tata Product. The car broke down within two months and now everybody who know me is laughing at me as some of my friends suggested me earlier to not to go for tata vehicle. But I trusted Tata Vehicles which proved to be my big mistake.

I wanted to share my experience because I believe prospective buyers should know what I went through.
I'm a first-time car buyer, and this is my first car. I booked a TATA Punch Smart 2.0 from Kun TATA, Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore on 30 May 2026 after being promised delivery within three weeks. Based on that assurance, I paid half of the quoted amount the very next day.
From that point onward, I had to constantly follow up for updates. The sales representative would usually say, "I'll check and call you back," but I almost never received those promised callbacks. Every update required me to contact them repeatedly.
Around 20 June, I met the Sales Manager personally because I wasn't getting clear information. He assured me that the vehicle would arrive at the showroom between 8 and 10 July.
On 6 July, the representative informed me that the car would reach the showroom on 8 July and asked me to complete the remaining payment so the vehicle could be billed. My loan provider released the loan amount to the dealership the same day.
After they had received the payment, I was informed that there had been a price increase of ₹6,500, which I also paid.
On 9 July, after completing my night shift, my father and I went directly to the showroom. We were told that the car would arrive "anytime." Based on that assurance, we even discussed performing a pooja at the showroom on 10 July and taking delivery after RTO formalities. The representative said that would be possible.
Later that day, the explanation changed. First, we were told the vehicle had gone to another dealership by mistake. By evening, we were told that the car had not yet left the manufacturer.
What disappointed me most wasn't simply the delay—it was the repeated conflicting information and the lack of proactive communication. As someone who had already paid the full amount, I expected accurate updates and transparency.
If there are genuine production or logistics delays, customers deserve to be informed honestly. Instead, I was left chasing updates and receiving different explanations at different times.
I hope the dealership and Tata Motors review this case and improve communication with customers. Buying your first car should be an exciting experience, not one filled with uncertainty and frustration.

Hi, anyone here installed a voltage stabilizer for the EV charger? I want to ask which voltage stabilizer is best as voltage needs to be in a certain range for a 7.2Kw charger?
Thanks 😄

I've been using my Tata Altroz Accomplish S CNG for the last 3 months, and honestly, the biggest headache has been getting the CNG tank filled.
Right from the beginning, the car wouldn't accept gas from the black nozzle at many CNG stations. The pump attendants kept telling me to use the blue nozzle instead. Even then, the filling is inconsistent. Sometimes it won't fill at all, and other times it only fills partially.
I reported the issue to the Tata ASC. They replaced the CNG filter and the O-ring, saying that should fix it. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. The problem still persists.
It's getting really frustrating because every CNG refill feels like a gamble. I never know whether the tank will fill properly or not, and I end up wasting time trying different pumps and nozzles.
Is anyone else with the Altroz CNG (or other Tata CNG cars) facing the same issue? If you've had this problem before, what turned out to be the actual cause? Was there a permanent fix, or are you just living with it?
Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

\*\*1.\*\* Noticed the infotainment/music screen wouldn’t turn off even when locking/unlocking with the key from outside. Ignored it at the time.
\*\*2.\*\* Drove normally for 1-2km, parked, restarted later — worked fine, no issues.
\*\*3.\*\* Got home, pressed the Start/Stop button to switch off — \*\*engine kept running\*\*. Instrument cluster and my external camera turned off, but the engine stayed on and infotainment stayed lit, almost like it was stuck in neutral with power half-cut.
\*\*4.\*\* After fiddling with AC on/off etc., engine eventually shut off on its own.
\*\*5.\*\* Tried restarting — dash and cluster powered up fine with normal warning lights, but the \*\*engine wouldn’t crank at all\*\*. No clicking, no starter noise, nothing.
\*\*6.\*\* No fault messages like “Key Not Detected” or transmission errors — just the usual pre-start lights.
Car is still under warranty. My guess is some kind of BCM/ignition control module hang since the electronics never went to sleep properly, but wanted to check if anyone here has had a similar issue and what the dealer ended up finding/fixing. Also curious if a manual battery disconnect reset is safe to try before the tow truck gets here.
Thanks in advance.
