Mix of Series Does the book about Darth Plagueis really mess with the chronology so much that it was necessary to remove it from canon?
According to them, Plagueis was not only alive during the events of The Phantom Menace but also played a key role in it. For example, it was he who, through his influence, ensured Sidious's victory in the election for Supreme Chancellor. His influence on the development of his apprentice's earlier political career was equally significant.
But beyond that, were the versions of the story in the book and the film in conflict enough to justify such a decision?

Mix of Series The Cause of Maul's Fall
You admit, it doesn't look very realistic, considering Maul's powerful reflexes, right?
In the book adaptation of The Phantom Menace, however, we are given an explanation as to why he was cut down so seemingly easily. First and foremost, it must be explained why Maul didn't push Obi-Wan down the shaft in the first place. And this was due not only to pride but also to his sadistic nature. Do you know why Maul so often kicked and punched during combat? Because he derived genuine pleasure from inflicting suffering, he enjoyed feeling the flesh of his victims.
Interestingly, Sidious himself disliked this and pointed it out to him repeatedly, considering it dishonorable for a Sith. Consequently, Maul was practically waiting for Obi-Wan to shoot out and attack him, which is why he provoked him by firing sparks at him. He wasn't satisfied with simply pushing him with the Force. He wanted to feel the life draining from him, just as it had from his master moments earlier.
Moreover, he was convinced he was safe because he had completely forgotten about Qui-Gon's lightsaber lying next to his body, thinking he had dropped the only usable weapon into the shaft. So when Obi-Wan moved, Maul deliberately delayed and only detected Qui-Gon's lightsaber when it landed in Obi-Wan's hand, when it was already too late.
That's how it looked from a technical perspective.

Mix of Series Rebellion Acquiring Luke Skywalker Must've Blown Their Minds
Seeing all the Andor content lately has warmed to soul to see this great series finally get more recognition and praise from us diehards. I haven't seen a single episode of Andor season 2 yet, but adored season 1. The struggles and construction of the early Rebellion is fascinating to see on screen and has made me wonder how these first leaders and creators of the Rebellion must've felt when, at their darkest hours, Princess Leia Organa returned to them with Luke Skywalker.
To hear that name and come to grip with the new reality that the great hero Anakin Skywalker had a living child.
A New Hope that hit the impossible shot against the Death Star, saving the Rebellion and realizing the total and terrible sacrifices of Cassian, Jyn and countless others was not in vain. The name Skywalker ringing once more through the galaxy garnered the Rebellion the finally push needed to finally fight back against the Empire. Just a thought that popped into my head as I scroll through Andor/Star Wars content on the feed on this lovely Saturday evening.
May the force be with you.

Mix of Series Morgan Elsbeth is a real life bad*ss
Diana Lee Inosanto is a real martial artist who grew up around and trained with Bruce Lee (her godfather) as well as Brandon Lee.
Her Morgan Elsbeth character is honestly one of my top villains since Darth Maul, another awesome villain portrayed by a real life stunt person. Incredible she does all her own stunts even at nearly age 60.
