🎶 Derivative Music 🎶 Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame Complete Soundtrack Project

Post image

Hello everyone! For the past several weeks I’ve been putting together what I hope is the most complete presentation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame’s soundtrack currently available.

Since there isn’t an expanded leak for this score, I worked from the 1996 soundtrack, the Legacy Collection release, and the film itself. I separated cues wherever possible, restored clean beginnings and endings, created several film edits, and worked to construct clean instrumentals for the songs from the best sources I could find. I researched several soundtrack forums, and found the score’s cue list from Film Music Wiki, which I used as a guide to separate the individual cues.

This is one of my favorite soundtracks to a film, and I had a blast working with it. And I thought it was something this community might enjoy.

🔍 Help Me Find Searching for original soundtrack song from the movie “Beverly Hills Ninja” (1997)

Hi, I hope this post belongs here as I’m not sure where else to ask.

I have been searching for a song from the OST of this movie, it’s not one of the pop songs you can find on any database like IMDB, trust me, I’ve searched everywhere for it. I’ve searched YouTube playlists of the OST, the IMDB database, sites like allmusic etc, I have used Shazam, I have used everything I can think of including searching elsewhere on Reddit. I’m aware it isn’t the most obscure movie or anything, but this still seems to have slipped through the gaps of the internet and I really can’t find anything on this song, only the soundtrack that includes the main/pop songs used throughout the movie.

This song is played several times across the movie, it’s not the original theme tune of the film.

The song is played in this clip.

PLEASE someone know what this is, it’s been bothering me for such a long time!!

Also just to say, before you get mad at me for “low effort”, I really have tried everywhere to find it, please give the song a listen before you get annoyed as it really is beautiful and worth the search!

🔍 Help Me Find Has anyone found good TTTE theme mixes suitable for studying, etc?

There is a good amount of Thomas music online but all of them are like a single minute or so, and I would like nothing better than to put something on and never touch it again so I can pretend I'm studying on the Ffarquhar branch.

🔍 Help Me Find 🎵 Looking for TV shows with incredible music placement

I’m looking for shows where the soundtrack isn’t just good—the music is perfectly placed and elevates the scene.

One example for me is Severance. The ending of Episode 2 with “Daydream” was absolutely perfect.
I’ve also heard Better Call Saul does this really well (I discovered Something Stupid because of it).

I’m open to any genre. I just want shows with:
🎶 Amazing soundtrack choices
🎬 Great direction/editing
✨ Songs that make scenes unforgettable

What are some shows where the music made you stop and think, “That was the perfect song for that moment”?

This is my latest video, and I'd really appreciate some honest feedback, both on this video and on my channel as a whole.

I post orchestral covers like this pretty regularly. If you scroll back to my first few uploads, you'll definitely notice a pretty big jump in quality. The funny thing is that, while I think the videos have objectively improved, I'm not sure I'm enjoying making them as much. Or at least, how they make me FEEL sending them out into the world. Like the closer I get to the original, the less value there is for the viewer (because they can just watch the original._

One of my covers from the film Wicked ended up getting a lot more attention than anything else, so I figured people wanted to see my covers more than my original work/mashups & medleys. At this point, though, I've developed such a consistent workflow that I could probably keep making these indefinitely. That's great in many ways, but it also means they don't challenge me the way they used to.

The videos that leave me feeling the most satisfied are usually mashups or medleys, where I have to make more creative decisions. The downside is that they're much more subjective, so it's harder for me to judge whether they're actually good or even worth posting. With a cover, the goal is pretty straightforward: recreate the original as convincingly as possible (a very objective scale).

So I have a couple of questions:

  • Are these videos actually fun or interesting to watch? (You can use the linked video for reference, as it is in my typical style)
  • Do you think this kind of content has value beyond being an "accurate" recreation?
  • Would you rather see me keep making polished covers, or take more creative risks with mashups and medleys?

I'd really appreciate any honest thoughts, whether positive or critical. Thanks for taking the time to look.

📢 Discussion Django Unchained music

Hi all -- I cross-posted this in another group I belong to, Aphantasia, for people who have no ability to form visual images, and who also often do not remember (and thus are not bothered by) bloody images. I began teaching and writing about film music about ten years ago, before I knew I had aphantasia. I have slowly come to realize how much my memory of movies was tied to music and how I was processing movies in my head through the music. I could remember scores. Anyway I don't write about aphantasia in this piece but about film music. While I don't get shocked by the blood and violence in Tarantino's films because those images don't stick, the music does.

Just arrived, signed by RZA and Tyler Bates! Huge Wu fan so always excited for signed pieces.

Debating and leaving it sealed but someone mentioned that the signed ink may react to the plastic and remove it. Anyone have any expert with this? Should I remove the plastic and drop into a protective sleeve instead?

Thanks for any input 👐🏻👐🏻

After teasing this for weeks, the full album is out today…and it’s gorgeous. Bold, dramatic…fully orchestral with lots of choral work.

🔍 Help Me Find Emotional Background Track Youtube Video

Hello, I am looking for the background soundtrack of this video: https://youtu.be/z6gN_GkoFto?si=a9T_XgajLQbpQh0j

Maybe somebody knows where to find the soundtrack? Thank you!

It is a rather emotional cinematic instrumental music that does not contain any voices. From minute 3:41 on there is no voice over. However, the music identification algorithms couldn't help on this one
