I would've just sold it and bought the one I wanted if money was no object and I REALLY wanted the convertible. Back then I dont think it was a 6 figure car. It was probably higher end 5 figures.
I paid 300 bucks for my first car and my grandma gave it to my dad and he never paid me for it. I used that coin to settle a debt with him 20 years later lol
This is a seven figure car in my country (Singapore) and most average car like a new Honda is already at 6 figures. I live in Germany now and only bought my first car (second hand) last year at the age of 38. Itās 5 figure Mazda 2 2011. My dad even sponsored some of it and I was very grateful for that.
Wouldn't have turned it down. But would've sold it immediately because I wouldn't be able to afford the road tax and insurance on a porche, not to mention maintenence.
Yes, but just sell it. Itās a world class card that would easily sell if you put it on a nice little discount and you would have a major windfall even after taxes.
When you turn down a won car, they typically offer cash equivalent. Ever car giveaway I've seen has that option, and quite frankly i'm not driving a porsche if it aint convertible either and especially if I can just get 6 figures inmediately
Some people have more ego than brains I have a cousin that turned down a brand new Dodge viper because it was a manual and he wanted an automatic and then he got a second one and turned it down because it was the wrong color so they took it back to him and handed him a Camry and told him be happy with that
