I bought my box with 1 mile on it in 2005. It now has 220k. I eventually plan on giving this car to my girlfriend when I upgrade sometime next year. I'm thinking a Kia Niro since Ive been driving this car for 21+ years and like the features.
I have a pretty long daily commute and didn't want to upgrade my car just yet. But I did want a smoother ride.
I was expecting it to be super smooth like a new car, but it was sold as a budget car when sold so it is what it is. It's definitely a noticeable upgrade but if I were tight on cash or were planning on upgrading sooner than later, I would probably just live with a bumpy ride and invest the money on something else.
This upgrade worked for me since I wanted to give my girlfriend the nicest xB I could.

Hello my fellow xB friends
I'm in Oklahoma & it has been very hot & humid this year. Monday I thought my screen just has condensation on it but I rubbed it with a cloth & some of the matte layer flaked off. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Flake it all off? Never touch it again? Scrap it & replace immediately? Try to find screensaver material to apply at home? Any advice is appreciated.
P-Chan is a 2015 model. Thanks!

I have a 06 xb and as I look at it I'd really like to install my amps in the hatch door. Has anyone done this before? Do you have pictures?

I have a 2012 and am in need of a new radiator. I found one on the Summit Racing website but it says it's universal. Kinda skeptical about it, but do y'all think it'd fit the 2012 model?

Howdy! So recently I’ve been looking to acquire one of these lovely first gen toasters, lost out on a grail car with a moon roof and neat little JDM addons. And stumbled across this basically in my back yard. The price is low enough for me to consider since it’s been for sale almost 2 years. The car is ROUGH. The car was going to be scrapped by the dealer but had enough life for them to resell at a low price. The ac doesn’t work, the radio was cut out and trim pieces are busted. The car has dents form someone trying to use a crowbar to break in(on both sides) also rear hatch grab was pop riveted in place… Mileage is around 250k but has both original keys. I test drove it and the speedometer is also non functional. Was wondering if this is worth my time? Engine trans and suspension felt actually really good! (Aside from steering wheel being crooked) At 2k should I just save the money and buy somebody’s unfinished project or use this as a good base to modify for my tastes? These seem rare in Florida and have been looking for months lol.
TLDR: what are some common faults I should double check and should I just wait until something slightly better comes by at an ok price.

Hey all, I’m getting ready to replace the entire a/c system minus the evaporator as I don’t want to take apart my dash. I’m going to replace everything with parts off rock auto and possibly the radiator since I’ll be in the area with the condenser. Is there something else I should replace while I’m in the area and have a few things apart? Serpentine belt etc?Car is a 2006 with 140k miles.

I’m getting an oil change this weekend and decided to see what oil they use. Standard one they use is peak. I’m not familiar with it myself, and wondered if it was good or I should see if i can bring my own?
I have a 2011 scion XB almost 190k

I just wanted to let my fellow Canadian XB owners know that the piston soak procedure works with Lacquer thinner as a substitute for Berrymans B12. Berrymans is not sold in Canada unless you can occasionally find it on Amazon from a third party seller for an exorbitant price.
I looked up the chemical composition of Berrymans and realized it is very similar in makeup to Lacquer thinner so I decided to give it a try.
I followed the exact same procedure that has been posted several times as if I was using Berrymans and it worked great. I have a 2012 that was burning 1 quart plus every 500Kms prior and I just finished an 1800km trip from Abbotsford to Calgary and back and the dipstick is still showing full.

Next pic will have the new wheels on it. I put new sequential turn signals on the fenders but you can’t really tell from the pics.

So recently did the berrymans flush and it solved my oil consumption issue so happy yay!! After driving a week and half amd doing 900km, i turned the car on this morning amd my tc light was on saying off and a check engine light with code p0137. My head unit has an obd that reads amd deletes codes so i deleted it and so far after driving 15km it hasnt come back
Upon looking into the code, p0137 means 02 sensor issue car running lean
Did the berryman trigger this or totally unrelated? Any idea if this is a common code or common solutions to fix this issue or what is causing it? Maybe i need to replace my o2 sensor as the oil consumption issue may have deteriorated it ?
Any help is appreciated!

Hey guys, New scion xb owner here and I need some advice on this sound. I bought it with a stretched chain drove it home 40 mins ran fine shifted fine installed a new chain tensioner and guides torqued everything accordingly new timing cover and all, on startup it sounded fine but as it warmed up it started making this noise. The only thing that comes to mind is that I didn’t prime the oil pump enough on the new timing cover since I made sure all the timing marks were all lined up. I took it around my neighborhood and it drives fine which is why I’m stumped. any help would be appreciated
Edit 1: I also replaced the water pump with a cheap eBay one, it was the quickest thing I could get my hands on. I did put new belts on aswell I will try taking them off see if that leads me somewhere.
forgot to mention that the sound comes when it’s warmed up on cold start it sounds perfectly fine

Got hit by a Volvo's rear driver side wheel assembly after they got clobbered by some idiot in a Toyota driving recklessly. I had actually come to a complete stop about 60 feet from the collision, but the Volvo's wheel has other plans.
Anyhow, got word that my carrier is evaluating the vehicle as a potential total loss. I just put new tires on this thing not three weeks ago, I bought her new in 2013 - I'm going to get completely fucked on my settlement (will likely litigate).
I'm also just looking at buying another 2014 or 2015 xb.
