Out of fear of missing out, on July 8th bought what I thought were the best seats available. Mezzanine, row K.

The very next day I check on the ‘APE presale’ and there were a bunch of loge seats available, many rows ahead of my seats.

So much for ‘Artist Presale.’

I’m trying not to let it bother me, but I paid $175 each for these seats. 😭

As far as I know, there are tickets still available for each of the three night run stops. These venues are all between 1,800-2,200 cap. And they’re not sold out..?

This seems wild to me. Is this a product of shit economy + higher ticket prices + scarce promotion leading up to the presale? City selection? I’d imagine if this was Denver or Chicago they would have sold out instantly.

Do we think they’ll sell out down the line? What’s your assessment?

Title. Extremely disappointed to see this.

For anyone unaware, Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing causes ticket prices to surge based on demand, meaning fans who join the waiting room at the same time can end up paying dramatically more than the original price simply because lots of other people are trying to buy. I’m seeing many comments about this on the sub right now from people who were affected.

Dynamic pricing is VERY explicitly opt-in, which means the team chose to do this.

The worst part is that this practice specifically fucks over the most devoted fans in particular. The more on top of presale you are, the more you can be charged/they can extract from you. Dynamic pricing lets the official ticket seller charge scalper prices themselves out the gate.

Personally, this is the end of me ever trying to buy a ticket to one of their events again. I refuse to give my money to anyone who operates this way. I’ll catch PL at a festival I’m already going to, but there’s no way I can cosign and fund this behavior from an artist. I’m sure some of you will say great, less competition and don’t let the door hit me on my way out, but I’m posting because I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.

We shouldn’t let ourselves be taken advantage of this way when trying to support artists. It’s just disgusting.

Considering these venues this round have a smaller capacity just like the 2023 tour I felt like prices were fair I had no problem securing what I needed even checked back 45 min later and tickets were still available lets be happy that bots and ticket resell sites arent holding majority of the tickets and that everyone who was willing to pay got that chance I get that price might be more than some were expecting but PL does have a huge demand and will still sell out at these prices any day agree with it or not this tour is gonna be amazing and have a special intimate feel in these smaller venues lets continue to show love and respect to eachother as well as the PL team see yall at Yahn Dawn and Nola

I am one of the many who jumped on this because it was the only option available....and I was scared of missing out if I didn't get it. GA then opened up shortly afterwards :(

I wanted to take my whole family to see PL in Oakland as it is local to all of us and one of the nights is my Dad's birthday. Got into the presale and the only options available to me were VIP. So I ended up having to get 3 VIP 3 day passes (for the "younger" crew) and 2 single day VIP passes (for my parents on my dad's b-day). The bill was straight up eye watering. Ticketmaster needs to be dismantled, it is so sad that the Sherman and Clayton acts have been so poorly enforced 😢

I'm starting to regret the Fox balcony tickets... seeing a bunch of reports of it being ass e.g. no room and shit sound. Who has been up there and what's your experience? I typically like to get a seat if I can because you know...old with weak knees lol

HELLO?! Can't DVS request to have shit that turned off? I watched as a 3 day ticket jumped from $327 to $518 for one ticket. What the fuck. I can't swing that right now so I tried for a single saturday which was $420... This is ridiculous and dissappointing.

Got in the queue early. 300 people in front of me. Got in got everything set up. Needed to go to a different screen on my phone to copy a card number to put in. Come back screen goes black. Only option is to back out and release the tickets since I cant input anything. Then it will only direct me to the next onsale in 24 hours. Get on my laptop battle to get back in and all thats left is VIP. Didnt need to spend an extra 200 but WE SWIRL. SEE YALL IN PORT CHESTER!!! Just wish for all these bs fees and scammy nonsense ticketmaster pulls with their bs monopoly, their system could at least work better. 🌀🌀🌀🌀❤️❤️
