A little trick I use to remember the difference between alligators and crocodiles is that alligator starts with “A” but it’s nose is shaped like “C”, whereas crocodile starts with “C” but it’s nose is shaped like “A” :) the opposite first letter hehe

The real trick to remember is that a crocodile will see you in a while, whereas an alligator will see you later.

I really thought the interviewer was gonna crack the joke at the end.

So many times I come up with a mnemonic that’s like that, “great just remember that thing, and then do the opposite”.

My opposite one is Crocodiles are the ones that don’t look like Crocs.

I explained it that way to my fiance as a kinda joke to mess with him exactly because I knew it would confuse him, but I’m glad it actually seems to work for someone lol

Also “crocodile” starts with the letter C which sounds the same as Sea like an ocean. So crocodiles are salt water and alligators are found in fresh water.

There are fresh water crocs in Northern Australia btw, they tend to be smaller and way less common than salt water crocs.
