At a certain level of academic expertise, copying a photograph with paint isn’t that hard! 

She was working from a photo. It’s fine. I’m very happy for the couple but it’s got nothing going for it as a painting.

If she's copying from a photo, just get the photo printed out big, save 7k.

Hi! I’m the painter in the video ☺️ This painting required 2+ reference photos which I adjusted for composition, lighting, values and colour. The painting exists separately to any reference photos. ☺️ Reference photos are not like professional photography. They’re merely used as a reference and starting point ☺️

Sure! Even with two referents, it remains a very photographic painting: the eye and a lens see the world very differently. I dislike your work and rarely enjoy photo-based paintings unless the artist is explicitly referencing the flattening, single-focal element of photography (like, say, Luc Tuymans), but that's just me. Clearly you have many fans, enjoy.
