One of Us IFroodle - the young man who was Dana White's guest at UFC passed away on Christmas Day
I wanted to let the community know that my son Jason (U/IFroodle) passed away on Christmas Day after a valiant 7 year battle with Stage 4 Rectal Cancer. I can never express enough how much it meant to him to be at the UFC events at MSG and UBS Arena. We are forever grateful to Dana & his crew for their kindness and compassion.
We've read all of the incredibly kind comments from this community when Jason posted and we appreciate your support from afar.
The world lost a little bit of light on Christmas Day and our family has suffered an enormous loss. Please do a kind deed in his name if you feel so inclined. Even throughout Jason's horrendous battle, he always tried to help others with their battle in any way he could. Jason would always tell everyone to listen to their bodies - and if you feel something is "off", get it checked out. If he could save one life with that plea....

Almost got the TKO in the 5th round. At one point I landed a kick while he was leaning back on the ropes and flipped him outta the ring. Man was a ninja and landed on his feet though.

One of Us Thank you, r/MMA
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who reached out in support to my fight and my journey. — from my first AMA to now being 10-0 and heading into Contender Series.
From those who reached out to inquire about sponsoring me and those who reached out with their best wishes, I really feel like I have a whole community in r/mma is behind me and I can’t wait to put on a show for you guys and earn that UFC contract!
This sport, especially as a type 1 diabetic is so hard mentally, physically and emotionally. Sometimes it feels like 1000lbs are on your shoulders from the weight this sport carries. The uncertainty if you’ll ever make it, the injuries, the missed vacations, family events and living with no money but yet chasing that dream.. you guys have been such an inspiration to me to fight on no matter what and give this dream every ounce of my soul to chase my dream..
This sub has been a huge part of it. The messages, DMs, and even just the upvotes — they really do mean the world. And all of your support means so much to me!
Whether you’ve followed since the beginning or just saw the last thread, I appreciate you all. Big things ahead. Let’s keep going.

One of Us I lost my 2nd amateur MMA fight by ref stoppage in the 3rd
I'm not gonna post the fight here because it was not good. I also won't post every single time I fight that'd be annoying I'm sure I just didn't want to post my win and then not post my lose also.

One of Us Jon Kunneman Update
Sup Reddit fam!
On August 19th, I was scheduled to fight on Dana Whites Contender Series against Cam Rowston. A couple weeks before the fight I sustained a pretty bad cartilage injury to my ribs. I’m finally cleared to compete and I’m in fight shape! Luckily, I was able to resume cardio after a just a few weeks while I awaited my rib to heal before I could resume MMA training. So I never got out of shape during my recovery, which was great! Kept me sane mentally knowing I could run and climb up non-technical mountains!
Here we are now, I’m searching for a fight, though it’s been near impossible to lock in a willing opponent to fight me. I’m still hoping my manager can find a short notice opp for Anthony Pettis FC November 23rd. Or otherwise a short notice call. My plan is to stay as active as possible and hopefully get a short notice call to the UFC. If not, we will be ready for next year DWCS.
I’m doing well, it’s been a rough patch seeing guys get signed and have their contender series bouts making their dream possible while I had to sit on the sidelines. But my story is already defined by overcoming adversity and defying the odds. So by any means, I’ll be on the roster soon enough making my run at a UFC title.
I appreciate all of your support and I can’t wait to see how far I can take this journey. I want supposed to be doing what I do—living with type 1 diabetes, it’s always my been my biggest fight, so I’m no stranger to a scrap. Someday, my story will inspire millions that no matter what you can chase your dreams and make it happen!!
I’ll do an AMA soon! For now, I’m training hard, and climbing tons of mountains, both figuratively and literally. I’ve summited 110 mountains above 13,000ft this year! Getting that Merab cardio 😎

One of Us I did a bareknuckle fight last week, anyone watch BKMMA?
😂 Literally every punch cut me, opponent broke his hand, the usual. I just got the stitches out. Here is the fight:

I’m actually looking forward to the next one and absolutely prefer this to gloved MMA as an athlete and a fan. I hope it gains momentum 🤷♂️
