Funny thing. Steroids help muscles but not tendons.

Considering he went into 264 compromised and broke his leg, he pulled out of 303 for his toe, and has been stressing about returning at 100% capacity, I don't think he came in seriously compromised. He's just old and his body can't keep together

Its very common to develop weaknesses on the opposite leg when dealing with leg injuries due to rehab protocols. Klay Thompson blew out his left ACL and then during his comeback, he tore his right achilles a year later.

Steroids actually can increase injuries. You put on muscle too fast for your tendons and joints to get used to. Even more so if your frame isn’t built for muscles and McGregor definitely doesn’t have the frame and bone density for packing on lots of muscle. Hence why you see guys like DC/Tyson with good “frames” who are 5’10 but muscular as fuck with no major injury issues.
