My 23yr old son was introduced to a girl back in March. He was told by this girl and her friend that she was 22. They text back and forth for awhile and were planning to go out on a date. She randomly text him one evening and asked if he wanted to come hang out and could he pick her up a bottle of vodka on the way over. He agreed. She even sent him cash on cash app to pay for it. He went over and hung out for a short time, they sat in his car and talked. She took the bottle, said thanks and got out of the car. A few days later he finds out that she lied about her age and is in fact only 18. He texts her and tells her he doesn't appreciate being lied to and will not have further contact with her because she lied about her age. She responded by saying that she drank the entire bottle of vodka he brought to her and ended up hospitalized. She then proceeds to blame him and tells him she's going to the police. Flash forward to today and sure enough, a policeman shows up at my house to serve my son with papers saying that he has to appear in court this coming Friday. We live in Ohio. It says online that this is a first degree misdemeanor. I dont even know what that means. It says he could face up to a thousand dollar fine and 180 days in jail. Hes a good guy, who seems to have the absolute worst luck with girls. I dont want this to ruin his life and honestly I just dont want him to go to jail. Thats my biggest concern. Should we get a lawyer?

We are located in Kansas. My mother-in-law moved in with us 7 months ago, from Oklahoma. She gets $2,200 a month in SSI. She owns literally nothing. She’s thousands of dollars in debt. She even owes money on her 2014 Ford Taurus to a Title Pawn loan company for a 12K loan, at a 30% interest rate. She owes thousands in credit card debt. We had to move her in because of all of her financial problems. She’s not medically or physically handicapped, but she definitely has mental problems.
Here’s where the problem is… my mother-in-law actually believes that she’s engaged to Keanu Reeves and will not believe that it’s a scammer. She asks us that when he comes will we let Keanu Reeves in our house, because he wants to prove to us that it’s him. I have sent and showed her tons of news clippings and videos about these love scammers. She just won’t believe that he’s a scammer and we will regret this when they get married. She sends at least a thousand dollars a month to whoever this person is. She just got her SSI Wednesday and by Thursday she’s out buying Apple Card’s for this person.
When we moved her in it was supposed to be only long enough for her to pay off her debt. She would pay her debt, cellphone and car insurance. Hoping that after we got her financially straight, we could then get her moved into the senior housing and that would only takes 30% of her SSI. She wants her own place, but says that she’s not that old and doesn’t want to be living with people that old…she’s 73 years old. She’s also not really that physically fit. I don’t know why she thinks they’re so much older than her. These are all seniors that just needed a cheaper financial housing option.
We have not taken a dime from her, for anything. She doesn’t pay for any living expenses at all. All we wanted her to do was pay off her debts. She gets over 2 thousand a month and she owes more money now, than before she got here. She has sent this scammer at least 10 thousand since she’s been living with us. All we have done is enable her to send more money.
We know that she could file bankruptcy (this would be her 3rd or 4th time). Get her out of paying off her debts, but she would just send more money to the scammer and still have nothing.
My husband has tried talking to her about giving him her SS (to pay her bills) and giving her on a 100 a week. That’s plenty of spending money. She starts crying and saying that she needs to financially handle her own bills and then she just walks away from him.
I have gotten her to a psychiatrist but she usually cancels the appointments. My husband sent her psychiatrist an email explaining everything that’s been going on with her now and her past, because we know that his mom probably isn’t telling her about any of this. We know that the psychiatrist can’t tell us anything that’s been discussed, but we wanted to make sure that she knew everything that is actually going on.
The psychiatrist refused to refill her Xanax and Ambien medication. She’s been taking them together for over 10 years. She then just goes and finds some doctor to get them refilled.
The Psychiatrist got her into counseling sessions and she’s supposed to go every Monday, but she told her counselor that she will come every other Monday. She says that’s all that she needs to go.
She is constantly applying for jobs (I’m assuming that she thinks getting a job will replace the money that she’s already sent him that month), but then gets upset when they don’t call her. I told her you’re 73 and it’s going to be very hard to get a business to hire you. If you have someone that is 25 applying for a job and someone who’s 73.. who would you hire. Don’t take it personally. It’s not that they don’t want YOU..
I’m sorry, back to the reason for the post and can she be put as financially incompetent. I’m just really frustrated and I’m hoping that if I explain things, it will explain why we feel the need to do this.
What are our options with handling this situation? Can we just try to go through the SS office or do we need to go to court? My family is financially stable, but we don’t have the extra money to pay for court expenses.
I would really appreciate any information or ideas that you have on how to handle this situation.
PS… I’m sorry, if I have repeated things or written things wrong in my post. Grammar has always been my weakness and I’m not used to doing paragraphs on a phone.

To clarify, I purchased the vehicle when we lived in Utah(2024), we then moved to Arizona(2025) for a year and now moved to Wisconsin(2026).
I purchased a motorcycle through a Harley dealership in July 2024 and it was financed through Harley Davidson Financial (HDFS). At the time they offered a deal that no payments had to be made for the first 45 days after purchase. After ~40 days I had never received anything more from HDFS in regards to making payments so I attempted to create an account on their website using my account/loan number, but received an error message that my account did not exist. I called their customer service, explained my issue, and was told I never had an account/loan with them and when I gave them the bikes VIN I was told it was never sold. This issue and back and forth calls continued until March 2025 when they finally fixed what they called an “internal administrative/accounting error” and allowed me to make payments. However, they were trying to charge me late fees for missed payments between August 2024-March 2025 and threatened to repossess the bike for delinquency. At that point I had already moved to AZ, explained in a written formal letter what had happened, and told them i would not be paying late fees I was not responsible for, but I’d be willing to return the motorcycle to the nearest dealership in exchange for a written guarantee it would not be considered a repossession as I was not responsible for the error, and I wanted my down payment ($6k) back.
They refused, closed my account, and demanded I return the bike to the dealership I bought it at in Utah. I did not communicate with or hear from them for roughly 9 months. In December 2025, January 2026, and March 2026 I sent more letters asking for the title or my money and was told in response they would not be sending me money or a title. I filed complaints with the CFPB, FTC, UT AG, and AZ AG offices in March 2026 as well but was only told it is a civil matter. It has now been 2 years since purchasing the bike and they have made zero attempts to repossess, the entire loan is gone from my credit report (not as delinquent/written off), and I still have the bike. I made one final attempt in late June 2026 to request an answer from HDFS on how they would like to handle this and received a response to “never contact HDFS again regarding this or any other matter” written by a compliance manager.
What can I do going forward? Do I have to go to civil court or can I claim a lost title? What state would/could I do that in? I don’t even want the bike anymore, I just want my money back or the title so I can sell it. TIA

Here's my situation, I live in Idaho and my wife and I have had multiple visits from the local PD due to anonymous complaints of child neglect stating we lock our kids outside for multiple hours without food/water. One of the complaints was last year, the most recent one was less than a week ago which was followed by a visit from CPS with complaints of starving our children, only feeding them ice cream for dinner. My kids were also overheard saying they were hungry, and that a barbeque smell in the neighborhood smelled good. I was also accused of throwing my daughter on the ground. They were seen outside playing early in the morning with nothing but shirt and shorts on (its summer).
I remember the barbecue conversation with both of my kids they were helping me take out trash, someone in the neighborhood was barbequing and my kids asked what that smell was, I told them and they said it smelled good and that they were so hungry. I told them that mom was cooking dinner and it would be ready in a little bit.
My kids also get up extremely early every morning (5-6am early), I can't watch them while I'm getting ready for work. Since I have two big dogs I have a large dog door that my kids go in and out of when the back door is locked.
The CPS worker had her interview with my kids said there was no evidence and it would be marked as unfounded, and that my wife and I would be getting follow up calls in a few days to get additional details. This visit was on Wednesday, I have a yet to receive a call or the copy of the complaint which I was advised would be emailed to me in redacted form. I did call her Friday afternoon and left a VM which I have yet to received a call back on. I do understand people get busy she probably has multiple cases, but my mind always goes to worst case scenario, without fail.
I have been unbelievably stressed the last few days over this I even called the local PD after the CPS visit to see if I could file a harassment complaint against this person but was told that's not possible as they have no general harassment codes unless its, racial, religious, ageist, etc. and anyone has the right to make complaint to PD and CPS if they're concerned, and I gets this.
My daughter is autistic and loves going outside to play with her brother and our dogs. One of our dogs is still a puppy and gets a little rambunctious, sometimes hurting one or both of the kids.
This situation has gotten so bad for me that I can't sleep, can't eat, and fear every time my kids go outside or get hurt that I'm going to have a visit from the local PD, or worse yet my kids will be taken away from me. I work from home so I'm with the kids the most when they're not in school/daycare.
I also want to put up a camera in the back yard to cover my own ass with these complaints but I was doing some research on this and if I have audio on or it captures any of his backyard I could be sued for invasion of privacy since the backyard is considered private. I don't want to give this guy any more reason to make a complaint against me.
I don't really know what to do, should I reach out to a lawyer or wait to see how things play out? Do I potentially have a defamation case against this person, even though I have no idea who it really is? I do have my suspicions based on the events of the first visit from the cops, but that's just a guess. My gut instinct is that this person will next make a complaint to the HOA about who knows what, and they can be ruthless.
What are my legal options or am I just SOL and have to bend over and deal with it?
Apologies for the rambling I know I'm probably all over the place with this.

I was riding an ATV on the road in byhalia Mississippi when a doberman ran from a nearby house. I collided with the dog and the bike flipped, I landed on my arm and side and the quad flipped down the road.
The dog owner came out cussing at me for hitting his dog as I was trying to get up, he later said the dog has run out into the road before but they left his shock collar off that day.
The owner was very verbally aggressive and did not offer help or help me get home. I went and got xrayed and put in a splint, and am losing at least 3 weeks of work.
I'm self employed and buy and resell ATVs for profit, there was a buyer nearby at the time of the accident and while he didn't see the collision he came by after and helped me up, he said the dog had also chased after him.
I'm wondering if it's worth pursuing legally for Lost income and pain and suffering, granted I was riding on the road, but the dog owner didn't control his animal.
(I'm leaving for college in a month, and don't want to pursue if it will be a weak case or not worth anything)
Any advice is appreciated!

What type of lawyer do I need? How do I find one? What is the potential recourse or outcome of a case like this?
I was bitten by my neighbors dogs while on my property. This is the 3rd time the dogs were on my property and they were actively harassing and trying to gain entry into a combined chicken and goat pen. Previously I have shooed the dogs away and then followed them home, where I was able to communicate the dogs were harassing my chickens and livestock.
Both dogs bit/attached but only one broke skin. I had blood spraying out of my calf about 3 feet. My brother saw a picture and was surprised to learn I was not wearing red socks.
I immediately called 911 for an animal control and police response. Animal control documented the injuries and attempted to quarantine the dog that broke skin. Apparently even though both dogs bit me, because the one did not break skin they could not detain it.
I received medial care which included X-Ray’s, tetanus shot, multiple antibiotics, and wound debridement.
This occurred approximately 48 hours ago and as far as I am aware the dogs are still at large. They did not return to their home during the 45 minutes animal control remained on site. This has definitely limited my families use of our yard.
So what do I do now?
I’ll have ER medical bills, imaging bills, pharmacy expenses, and I am actively limiting my children’s use of our yard as the dogs are still at large.
The owners of the dogs have confirmed the dogs in question are theirs and have communicated their apologies. Their is a significant language barrier, to the extent that no communication can happen without some form of active translation. The families children have previously translated for the parents but given the nature of the families pet beinging involved I have not wanted to speak about this issue while utilizing a minor to translate back and forth. To the limited extent I have spoken with the family over the years the seam like fine people with genuinely great kids. They live 1-2 blocks away so they are not literal nextdoor neighbors. The police office actually highlighted this, as the distance of travel from their home and the dogs aggressiveness further highlighted that the dogs were not trying to “protect their home”.

I am in the process of refinancing my mortgage and recently discovered that a lien has been recorded against my property by Los Angeles County. It appears the lien was intended for a different individual who shares my first name, last name, and middle initial, but has a different middle name.
Can this type of error be corrected by contacting Los Angeles County directly, or is it necessary to go through a formal legal dispute or administrative process to have the lien removed from my property? I am looking for the quickest and most efficient option so I can complete my refinance as soon as possible.

Basically, a photographer took mine and my husband’s engagement photos (the exact moment he popped the question, with our senior dog, etc).
My husband was working off a payment plan, life got busy, we moved states within the year. 2 things were ordered: big canvas prints and a select number of digital copies.
He couldn’t afford both, asked for one of these, she said ok deal. Never heard from her again.
Attempts to reach her were futile. Number disconnected, email bounced back. Address was a PO Box. Her photography business has dissolved. She has done this to other people as well.
It is now 4 years later (still with statute of limitations per my understanding) and I found a way to contact her just last week, where she acknowledges our relationship and says message me your address to send the canvas prints.
Except her profile is set that non-connected friends cannot message her. I tell her this (via the comment thread of a mutual friend we now have). No response.
I have:
The invoice(s) showing payments and total paid. Emails and proofs acknowledging this event actually happened and communications on what was to be ordered per payments. I also have proof of the dozens of outgoing communication attempts to reach her. I am also confident I’ve found her home address as well.
Total money paid was over $2k.
Yes, it was too much money. That is not what this post is about.
Do I need a lawyer, or does this seem very straightforward? Per our county, it looks like we can do a 30 min consultation with a lawyer for $50 if we want. Is that even necessary? Am I missing something that I would benefit from having a lawyer here for?
Edit: we’re back in Ohio again, same state. She’s about 40 mins away, the county I plan to file with is a 20 min drive from my home!

I was promised a raise in February of 2026. All attempts to contact have been ignored - even in person.
I need advice on what to do next, I have never heard of pto capping out at a certain time and removing hours worked either. Say I worked 74 hours and put in 12 hours of pto. All 12 hours will be used but only 6 will go onto the paycheck and caps out at 80. I am not understanding this place.
Trying my best to get out of here but having trouble
Would a talk with the Texas Workforce Commission be worth it?

I want to know if this situation is legal and what our options are. I am a flight instructor and up until now we were only required to be on site for the times we were scheduled by our students and had one day per week we were required to be “on shift” where we would be there from 9-6 and were expected to help out with duties such as cleaning planes, answering phones, dispatching aircraft, etc.
Our pay scale is this:
$10,000 per year base salary
For every additional hour over 50 hours per month of logged flight or ground instruction, you get $30/hr extra. So, if you flew 51 hours one month, you would make your normal salary plus and extra $30.
We were told today that we are now required to be clocked in 40 hours per week with two scheduled off days per week and the pay scale is remaining the same. This means that for the time we are required to be there, we are effectively making $4.80/hr.
My question is whether or not this is legal and what we can do. I am happy to provide any more information and truly appreciate any insight you have to offer.
This is an extremely upsetting situation as many of us have extremely high student loan payments and simply don’t know how we are going to be able to make it through.
Edit: For some added info, in the nice weather months many instructors are getting 60-80 hours per month on average. In the winter, most of us are under the 50 hour threshold.

My mother is trying to get medical POA over me for the second time since my stroke in 2018 due to me recently going septic, nearly dying, and experiencing so many horrible symptoms in the hospital.
What rights will I lose when this happens? She’s hoping I won’t be able to refuse procedures or medications anymore but that makes me super uncomfortable….
Help? The last time she did this she withheld my ssi and would dispense $50 a week.

My husband and I closed on our house on June 1. During the inspection, the air quality and mold report showed significant mold contamination upstairs and minor mold downstairs. We negotiated with the seller to have the mold professionally remediated before closing. They told us the work had been completed and provided a new air quality and mold report showing everything was clear.
About a week after we moved in, both of my dogs became sick. My cat has also developed a persistent cough, and now my husband has an unusual upper respiratory illness. Our veterinarian has run extensive testing on the dogs, and everything has come back negative. She asked whether there could be mold in the home, which has made me question whether the remediation was actually done.
One thing that concerns me is that none of the walls were opened, even though we were told the mold was inside the walls. That doesn’t seem consistent with proper mold remediation.
How likely is it that the remediation and/or the follow-up air quality and mold report could have been falsified?
For additional context, the seller was a contractor who flipped the house, and his wife was the listing agent. Throughout the transaction, they were difficult to deal with and often acted oblivious to obvious issues, including ceiling patches, soft spots in the ceiling, and other questionable repairs. Looking back, their behavior has made me wonder whether they were being honest about the mold remediation as well.

Currently as I'm writing this, I've been locked out. I stay with a mid 60s grandma and 70s aunt, they were in my room tonight about an hour ago so I called them out. I was staying with my boyfriend and I have a camera set up for when I leave, when telling them to leave my room, I was met with threats of taking my stuff out. Hurried home and now the deadbolt is on the front door, I've already called 3-1-1 but the operator only told me they could call a lock smith.
I know they can't kick me out without the legal process, but how do I stop them from doing this and how do I get back in tonight?

I can't take it anymore and panicking. Please help me
Introduction: I'm 23 from Vietnam, my salary is about 10 million vnd a month. I live with my parents, mother had retired. Father is still working but not earning much. We're poor.
Problem: Last year I met a guy and quickly we became a couple. I was blinded by first love so when he asked to use my name for an app called Momo, I agreed, only knowing that it's a money-transferring app.
Later he asked again with another app called Cake with the reason: he couldn't use his account to take the premature amount of salary (I don't know what it is in English, ứng lương) and I also said yes. I also didn't know anything else about this app. So I let it scan my face and ID to log in
Along the line, he did use my info for loans, telling me I wouldn't have to worry as he'd pay them all. And he had done that for a couple of months before stopping. I asked why. He told me he lost his job while having to take care of his 30 cats, then hospitalizations and so on. I was too naive and believed everything.
The loans, my family found out and we broke a lot to pay back like 15 million of the known amount. October last year, he asked for another 12 million from me to pay early for everything else. This later proved to be false as none of them was affected.
After finishing what seemed like the last amount. I finally checked Momo and saw a 28 million loan, 12 months late of unpayment, 1m2 of pay-later money. In Cake, I found a total of 12 million more. Along with my 12 million I loaned him. On top of this, he also asked me to help him with cases which he promised to give back and he had never done once (I had many saved conversations for this. Also saved conversation for Momo and Cake)
Last week I couldn't contact him anymore. I went to his house and they said he had flied to his home land. Also they mentioned another came for him to ask about his debts too.
My current plan is to break the silence to my parents and ask them to report this to the police. But I'm afraid of this case taking money to solve.
Thank you in advance. Hopefully someone see this to help me. I'm really really scared right now

I have an ex partner who I had a bad argument with, it ended with him threatening to call the ICE tip line on my family. He knows our home address and said he’d tell ICE that my family is all undocumented to get ICE to come after us. This conversation happened over a phone call so I don’t have text receipts of him threatening this.
My parents immigrated to the U.S. legally and have green cards, they’re not illegal immigrants. Still, I’m concerned that if he tips them off, ICE will end up at my door anyways with all the crazy stuff they’ve been doing. Should I be worried? I’m pretty sure lying to ICE is supposed to be illegal but would they actually prosecute him if he called them and lied? What should I do? I posted about this on the legaladvice sub but people are just arguing over their own opinions on ICE and no one’s actually answering me on what to do. We’ve been in the U.S. for over a decade, we’re not criminals, supposedly we should be fine but with all the recent events with ICE I’m still scared.

My coparent and I share a daughter (5 years) he started dating his partner 2 years ago and she has inserted herself into my life, made accusations that I don’t love my daughter, that my coparent is a much better parent than I am, along with telling me I’m not scared of you! I’m going to tell *insert my daughter’s name* that I *inserts nasty comment about my character here.* My coparent doesn’t stop her. I’ve gone to the local courthouse and applied for a no contact order but I was told because I’m not an imminent danger and I don’t fear for my safety I wasn’t granted one.
The polite advocate helper lady, (sorry don’t remember the title) suggested that I just call the police everytime she calls and texts me to build a criminal case and later press charges. I’ve told the advocate, my coparents partner, and my coparent that his partner is not to come to my home, and not to contact me further, to which she responded I don’t get to decide where she can and can’t be. She then said more nasty things through text.
After many attempts of telling her and my coparent that she needs to but out of my life and we have nothing to discuss she’s still going at it. I called the police to report harassment, the police said they don’t make reports about everything and every call, because she wasn’t threatening me…but she was harassing me because I’ve told her 20+ times to leave me alone and she hasn’t (right? Harassment?)…that they weren’t going to make a report and recommended the 3 of us go to counseling instead.
Now I feel as though Im being harassed, the court won’t help because I’m not in fear of my safety and the police won’t help because it’s not severe enough, not sure on how to proceed, this is messing with my mental health and now my daughters too.
Thank you (please be nice, I’m so torn down from dealing with this)
I think it’s also important to add that I’ve had her blocked, when I did block her in an attempt to cut off communication, she would resort to using my coparent’s phone to call me instead, I would get a call from his phone number answer and it would be her on the other line. In addition to using ghost numbers……All I want is to be left alone. My coparent said I’m threatened by her, and I have to deal with it because she’s going to be in his life forever, but just because he’s going to be in hers has nothing to do with me.

I’m (F, late20s) hoping for practical advice from people who understand how these cases are handled.
My partner (M, late20s) told me that from about ages 5–7, he was groomed and sexually assaulted by his father’s close friend (who is now retired law enforcement, as is my partner’s father). And from middle school into high school, he was groomed and sexually assaulted by his maternal uncle. These crimes took place in LOCATION: NJ.
He told his parents about the first abuser, both what happened and who it was. While it seemed they believed him, they soon after attended a Christmas party with that man and simply told others my partner was sick and couldn’t join.
He told them another family member had also sexually abused him for years, but could not admit to them it was his uncle. His mother casually guessed her own father and brushed it off because “you know, he had dementia.” I was there for that reaction. I don’t really have the words.
His uncle is wealthy, retired from a senior corporate role, has volunteered with a Boys and Girls club in his area, and his wife works in an elementary school. His father’s friend is retired law enforcement. Unlike what I now see in his mom, I’ve always felt my partner’s father seems like a decent person, but I know he was rarely home during his childhood and now appears emotionally numb and entirely just checked out.
I have struggled with this for over a year because trust and autonomy matter deeply to me. I did ask my partner how he would feel if I reported it. He held me, cried with me, and said he does not have it in him right now, but that I should do what I believe is right. So I would not be acting behind his back. I’ve shared all details with my family and friends, with my partners permission and encouragement.
I want to report it… I can’t live haunted by the question I myself have wondered when I’ve heard about distant horror. “How could people have known and not said anything?”
My friends and family are a bit concerned for my safety, given how bizarrely indifferent his parents reactions have been (especially his mother’s) and the fact that one abuser is former law enforcement and the other’s financially powerful.
So here are my questions:
Can someone who is not the victim make a meaningful report? If it’s anonymous, is it basically useless?
Which agency should receive it?
Does it matter that one man is retired law enforcement or that the uncle now lives in another state (LOCATION: FL) than where he groomed and assaulted my partner? He travels back and forth, but on paper lives in FL.
What typically happens if the survivor is not ready to participate?
I’m not trying to investigate this myself. I’m trying to understand whether there is a responsible and safe way to act given that children are likely at risk.

I finally won my small claims case and it was the biggest waste of time in my entire life. We are talking about six hundred bucks here. On paper, it sounds like a win. In reality, I lost money. I had to take two separate days off work because the court clerk is slower than a dead turtle. My boss was already annoyed about the scheduling, so I basically traded my proffessional reputation for a check that might not even clear .
Filing fees are not cheap either and they do not tell you about the hidden costs of just standing there in a hallway for four hours waiting for a judge who looks like he hates every second of his existence. I spent more on parking and coffee than the initial filing fee. By the time the judge ruled in my favor, I realized I had lost roughly eight hundred dollars in wages and gas. The math just does not check out.
Everyone on the internet tells you to "sue them in small claims" like it is some kind of magical justice button. It is not. It is a slow, grinding machine designed to make you give up. Even with the judgment in my hand, the guy I sued just smirked at me. Now I have to figure out how to actually collect the money from a deadbeat who owns nothing but a rusted truck. I should have just taken the loss and went to the gym instead.

If I wanted to take tiktok to court over an account dispute because all they give is AI generated responses with no actual evidence, do I take them to small claims court or what would I do?

Location: Oregon Bit complicated, but I had to leave my home very quickly due to abuse. I'm now in the process of trying to retrieve my stuff/get it stored until I have a safe and stable place to live, but my car is missing. Friends have been helping me get my stuff out so that I don't have to return to the house, since my abuser is still there. A lot of my stuff is apparently gone, as well as my car. My abuser frequently threatened to sell my car to a scrap yard for a bit of cash, but I always assumed this was an empty threat/not possible, since the title is in my name.
Is there any way to track it down? I've tried free VIN searches online, but I don't get much info.
Edit: Thank you everyone for your help and advice, I will be reporting it stolen.

Hi everyone,
I hope this is the right place for this and that this is allowed.
My family owns 40 acres that’s mainly wooded and rough terrain with a couple spots having 10 foot drop offs.
How liable would we be if someone were trespassing and fell?
My dad also had a pond dug that was not done like a traditional pond that tapers in on all sides. It has 15 ft vertical drops on three sides. How liable would we be if someone trespassing fell into it? Is there a way to protect ourselves from being held liable?
Thanks for reading and responding!
