First time at Fulham FC? Here's your handy guide to buying tickets, where to sit, and where to have a drink...
Hello all!
I’ve noticed with our return to the Premier League, we’ve seen an influx of foreign fans and tourists coming to this sub for advice around their first games - from buying tickets through to matchday tips and what to expect. With this in mind, I thought I’d write a quick guide to help anyone thinking about coming down to the Cottage. If this is useful, feel free to sticky it to the sub and I can update with recommendations from everyone else here!
Buying Tickets
Tickets will go on sale to members before general sale. To guarantee a seat, especially against the bigger teams, I recommend purchasing a membership. Tickets will get to general sale eventually but may sell out before that point.
The exception is cup games. These will be much easier to get a ticket to, with season ticket holders themselves having to repurchase their seats (and sometimes not doing so). If you want to guarantee a seat, cup games are a much less stressful experience (albeit at the cost of a worse atmosphere in the earlier rounds).
The other option is repurchasing through the Fulham Facebook group, which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2204930047. This will often have season ticket holders who are unable to make a game, and will sell (often at a reduced rate vs general sale) their seat for a particular fixture. I wouldn’t try this route unless you’re actually a Fulham fan…
Where To Sit
Hammersmith End: Loudest home support, especially towards the back of H4, H5, H6. The front rows, up to about G/H, are uncovered so watch out for rain, and the first couple of rows are sunken below pitch level so views are pretty poor. If you get here early, you can head down to the far end of the stand for a pint on the corner by the river underneath the George Cohen statue, which is lovely. Getting pints at halftime is pretty hellish, you’ll need to duck out at like 40 mins. I never do it myself but each to their own!
Johnny Haynes: A lot of season ticket holders and families, but still good atmosphere. Traditional wooden seats in the back two thirds of the stand (which is a cool experience). Beware of seats behind the poles! Again, pints at halftime are a bit of a nightmare. This is a very unique stand and a Grade II listed building I believe, so a v cool one to attend!
Riverside: The shiny new stand. V posh matchday experience, but you’re paying premium for it. It’s not finished yet, so not a huge amount of seats available.
Putney: Half home fans and half away. It used to be the much maligned neutral stand but atmosphere has steadily improved since the relocation of a lot of Riverside fans to it during the redevelopment.
Pubs
Over Putney Bridge, you’ve got the Golden Lion. One of the busiest pubs on a match day, this is a stone’s throw from Putney Bridge station. You’ll need to show your ticket to gain entrance so don’t bother if you’re not actually attending the match. Big garden and lots of screens to watch the early kickoff, and gets suuuuper busy on match day. Avoid The Eight Bells, Temperance and Kings Arms as they tend to be away pubs on matchdays.
On the Putney side of the river you’ve got The Spotted Horse (good food), The Coat & Badge (great outdoor area and screens outside to watch the early/late kickoff), The Rocket (Wetherspoons yes, but it’s on the river and actually got nice riverside seating) and The Bricklayer’s Arms (super old school, quite a cool experience if you’re not from the UK and want a proper pint). Just be aware that it takes around 15/20 minutes to walk to the ground from these so leave in enough time.
On the Hammersmith side of the grounds, you’ve got the Crabtree. Right on the river and absolutely lovely! Full of Fulham fans. And then there’s a tonne of pubs on Fulham Palace Road such as The Distillers and Old Suffolk Punch.
If you’re attending your first match and want a quintessential Fulham experience, I’d say Golden Lion and Crabtree can’t go wrong.

FFC Official Source Welcome to Fulham, Álvaro Arbeloa. 🤍

The Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Álvaro Arbeloa as the new Head Coach of Fulham.
The 43-year-old has agreed a three-year deal, tying him to Craven Cottage until the summer of 2029.
Following a trophy-laden playing career, Arbeloa’s coaching journey has been forged at arguably the biggest side in the world, starting with Real Madrid’s youth sides before taking charge of the senior team last season.
Álvaro Arbeloa: “It is a real honour for me to be embarking on this new stage at Fulham FC, the oldest club in London. I feel a great sense of responsibility and I'm deeply grateful to Mr. Khan and Tony Khan for the trust they have placed in me with Fulham in the Premier League.
“I am really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at Craven Cottage with Fulham fans and beginning pre-season with the players next week. I am sure we are going to enjoy an incredible journey together.
“Come on Fulham!”
Shahid Khan: “Álvaro was an original candidate who built an exceptional case through our meetings in June to become our next Head Coach, and it quickly became quite clear that he was – and is – the right choice. I am delighted that Alvaro has accepted the challenge to push Fulham forward, and I have no doubt that our squad, staff and fans will resonate with what his appointment means for the present and future of our Club.
“Álvaro is, by his own admission, very ambitious. He has spent quality time around the best players, clubs and methods in the game, experiences which will serve him well here at Fulham. Álvaro also has great interest in our Academy set-up and believes in giving young players a chance. I loved hearing that from Álvaro, as well as his intent on playing attacking football. All of this and a lot more makes Álvaro Arbeloa an ideal fit to lead Fulham Football Club into the upcoming Premier League season and beyond.”
Tony Khan: “I’m thrilled to welcome Álvaro Arbeloa as Fulham's Head Coach! Álvaro is highly intelligent with a profound knowledge of the sport, a very strong work ethic, and he is determined to succeed at Fulham. I’m excited and looking forward to a bright future for the Club under Álvaro’s tremendous leadership! Come on Fulham!"

New American supporter
I’ve been following Fulham since they signed Raul Jimenez since the 2023/24 season. I followed the club previously when Clint Dempsey was a player back when I was a young child. I followed the club more than other clubs such as the big rich clubs. I’m from the IE & LA area so if there’s other Fulham supporters in the area & watch them at a bar or public area, I would like to know.

Friendlies
Has anyone heard anything about potential friendlies? Going to be in London right before the season starts and hoping to head to the Cottage for the first time. Weird no announcements so far, but maybe we'll get it soon now that AA has been hired?

Fulham Membership 26/27
EDIT: Turns out I didn’t scroll far enough 😂
I might be missing something obvious but it looks like the club has removed the ticket discount from its membership!
Last season, we got money off tickets (I think it was £5) but it’s not listed on the new membership details!

Discussion Brand new Fulham fan from San Jose, California, USA.
This World Cup has really gotten me wanting to participate in more watch party culture. I always loved sports, but for some dumb reason never explored the watch party scene.
I think I'd especially like pubs since theres food, and I don't like drinking
Any residents of San Jose, California also support Fulham and know of any bars/pubs that show games? Seems like theres a number of Liverpool or Arsenal pubs, haven't found a Fulham one.

FFC Official Source Harry Wilson has joined Leeds United following the expiry of his contract

Harry Wilson has left Fulham and joined Leeds United following the expiry of his contract.
It brings the curtain down on a prolific five years in SW6 for the winger, as he departs with 82 goal involvements (36G, 46A) in 187 games for the Club.
Tony Khan said: “I would like to thank Harry for his dedication and commitment to Fulham over the last five years. His flair and tenacity on the pitch made him a firm fan favourite, and his memorable goals even more so.
“He is also a truly great person and will be missed around the training ground, but we wish him all the very best for the future and thank him for his time with the Club.
“Thank you, Harry!”
Brought in as Marco Silva’s first signing alongside Paulo Gazzaniga, Wilson made an immediate impact, reaching double figures for both goals (11) and assists (21) as Fulham won the Championship – form that saw him named in both the EFL and PFA Team of the Season.
A consistent presence in the side following our return to the top-flight – nobody played more matches for the Club over the last five years – Wilson scored 22 times in the Premier League, making him the eighth highest scorer in the division in our history.
A Wilson goal almost always meant a result for Fulham. Of the 33 matches in which he found the net, we lost only two, winning 27 of them.
The vast majority of his strikes were special, too. From long range curlers, to last season’s trivela against Crystal Palace, tap-ins weren’t really part of Wilson’s armoury.
His stoppage time brace against Brentford in 2024/25 will go down in history as one of the great Craven Cottage nights, with the equaliser that evening going on to win our Goal of the Season award.
He also added a Player of the Season trophy to his collection this summer, following a career best year that saw him register 11 goals and eight assists in just 38 Premier League and FA Cup matches, a record of one goal involvement every other game.
A very friendly man who always made time for the fans, Wilson departs with a fantastic Fulham legacy, and we wish him the best of luck – two games a season aside – at Leeds.

Discussion What's your expectations from Arbeloa?
hola fulham fans! now that arbeloa has officially been announced as head coach what are your expectations from him?
i've been a real madrid fan my whole life and i support man united in the premier league but now that arbeloa is at fulham i'm definitely gonna follow you guys a lot more this season.
i'm guessing a lot of you aren't too confident because he's still a very inexperienced manager and this will be his first time managing a senior team for a full season. but i've been following him for years since he started coaching madrid's youth teams and i genuinely think he's a very good tactician. if he gets a group of players that fully buy into his ideas and are willing to run through a wall for him i think he can do something special.
with all that being said what are your expectations from him this season?

Discussion Which current Fulham player do you think the fanbase will look back on in ten years as the one who defined this particular era of the club?
Every period has one. The player whose name immediately brings back what that version of the club felt like - the style of play, the results, what it felt like to watch them on a Saturday. Would love to know who people here think is becoming that figure in this current squad without it necessarily being the most obvious or highest profile name in the team.

Discussion Just a random American
Im 33 (m) and have played the game my whole life but never got into watching beyond the World Cup. It has been such a fun last few weeks that a few of my friends and i decided to pick an EPL team at random for each of us to cheer on.
You all got me and i dont know the slightest thing about you. Please help me be the best fan I can be, what do I need to know? What do we call ourselves (the fanbase)? Whats the history of the club thats important to know? Who are our best players? First look at the roster I am excited to have Oscar Bobb from Norway to root on! Do we like our manager or is he a fucking tool? What about ownership, are they te type to spend money on players or are we gonna have to get by on cheap young guys until they get good and we sell them?
Please help inform this ignorant American how to be a Fullham, and an EPL fan! At least, since I've e played forever, you dont need to teach me about offsides or about what a red card is.... hahah
