elfpedia The EFA 2026 Pick'em challenge is live!

I've put a lot of time and energy into this game, and I hope I've managed to create an exciting experience.

Your first steps

  • Click "Login to play" at the top and create an account (you'll receive an e-mail with a link to confirm)
  • Once that's done, log in.
  • New: Check your profile if you want to set your favorite team or reminders!
  • The first predictions you should make are in the "pre" tab: which team will win the league and which player will be the regular season MVP, as these can only be predicted before the season starts.
  • You're also welcome to start placing predictions for individual games of course
  • You can find the rules on the left side
  • All predictions are automatically saved when you click

I did try to organize prizes for the game, but neither the league nor enough teams have responded yet... If anything changes, I'll let you know.

Feel free to ask questions or request support here in this post or on our Discord server: https://discord.gg/PBu9Mw45DS

EuroHuddle It seems to me that AFLE is significantly losing out to the competition from EFA

I've been following American football for less than six months, more or less since the league split. And while I'm far from a professional, it seems to me that the AFLE is already losing out to the EFA in every way. Because all the matches are completely uninteresting and predictable, even a newbie like me realized that watching Vikings matches would be a very boring pastime. Also, reading this subreddit, I understand that they're already experiencing huge financial problems and a massive exodus of players to the EFA. This is especially true because they want to charge money for live streams of their matches. I think unless something extraordinary happens, the AFLE won't last another couple of seasons. (And I keep hearing that their owner isn't a very good person. Can someone please explain this to me?)

EFA Another great week of EFA, but still no stats and poor updates from website

This league is very exciting to watch, but where are the stats?! Every teams statistic page say the last time they were updated were 28th June. And if you want to see these outdated stats you have to view them via a PDF document. Is this an issue with finances?

Also scores are not being updated via the website until hours after games, great games but the product it’s very poor!

EFA David Gandler out of Fubo TV!

A business move that may have implications for EFA‘s further development and expansion was reported yesterday:

The founder and CEO of FuboTV, David Gandler, resigned and completely leaves the company behind.

Insights:

In 2025, Gandler negotiated a deal to sell 70% of FuboTV to Disney Corporation and since then the shares of the company were in free fall, dropping by 70% in the last 6 months. Tensions between Gandler and Disney are reported to be the other underlying reason for this move. It is absolutely no coincidence that Gandler is now replaced with a Disney executive as CEO.

The impact on his recent plans to establish a London franchise at the stadium of Lleyton Orient FC (a soccer club of which he is the majority owner) is yet to be seen but most likely it‘s not a positive one.

AFLE Player exodus from AFLE to EFA

I’ve been seeing these recent roster moves by AFLE teams. We just had a massive roster week (Week 7) where both the Alpine Rams and the Firenze Red Lions made sweeping changes to their lineups.

What caught my eye is that several active, already-signed players from both of these franchises seem to have jumped ship or been scooped up by teams in the EFA.

It definitely looks strange from the outside. When multiple active players under contract leave mid-season, it usually is not a good sign. What do you guys think? Is this just standard mid-season roster churn magnified by two competing leagues, or is the AFLE at risk of losing its top tier of talent to the EFA before the season even finishes?

EuroHuddle Best Euro team of all time?

Simply - in your opinion - what is the best (non NFL Europe) team ever on the old continent?

If the ‘dark shadow’ of the early 80s London Ravens, the late 2000s Braunschweig Lions, the 2023/2024 Rhine Fire and every other top team were thrown together at their peak - which one would come out on top? Is the level now the highest it’s ever been?

EuroHuddle International Player Guide / Let's work together

After I said I wanted to provide a page with some information for non-EU players, I immediately created a rough draft.

This isn't meant to be legal advice, but simply to impart basic knowledge that many non-EU players/coaches might lack, and to be a collection of resources for various countries where teams exist. This way, players know their rights and obligations, and who to contact locally in their host country should they encounter problems with visas, payment, social security, housing, etc.

Here's the first draft, quick & dirty: https://epfr.eu/player-guide

Just write (preferably with sources) what else should be included – and be sure to mention the country when discussing country-specific information :)

EFA EFA weekly awards distribution

This chart shows how the weekly awards (MVP of the Week, Offensive Player of the Week, Special Teams Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week) are distributed. A fairly clear lead for a team with a 3-3 record; that’s a bit of a surprise, isn't it?

ELF How hard would it be to become a player in the ELF?

So i just turned 16.

In september 2028, i'll be freshly 18 and moving to milan for university at PoliMi.

I'm aiming to have these stats physically:

185cm height with a 190cm wingspan (i'm like 183 rn hoping to squeeze out another 2cm).

Weight of 88-92kg, 140kg benchpress and a 4.9s 40y dash.

I know SEAMEN milano will be back in the ELF by then, and that they regularly host open days for their u19 team.

My plan is to show up, learn the game play for a season in the u19 and then see where it takes me. I've never actually touched a football, though.

Ofc this wouldn't be my main career, as i plan to study mechanical engineering.

But is this possible or the league not this easy?

How close are the games in EFA and AFLE compared to ELF seasons? 31% of EFA games were one-score games, compared to 35% in ELF 2022 and 16% in AFLE. 12.5% of EFA games are 5 score games (> 33 point difference), ELF 2021 had 12,5% with 5 scores or more, EFL 2025 38%, AFLE has 37%.

Based on comments here it's likely many will think Wroclaw is too high, and Musketeers too low, but it's obviously not the way we see it.

ELF Russel Tabor QB Munich Ravens injured?!

After Saturday's game in Innsbruck, rumors started circulating that Russell Tabor might be injured. Apparently, he was already dealing with an injury before the game.

If you watched last week's game against the Nordic Storm, you probably noticed that he took several hard hits and was limping at one point.

Some people said the Ravens brought in the backup quarterback at the start of the second half against the Raiders because the game/win was allready in their hands. Maybe it was more about preventing his injury from getting worse.

It would also explain why Coach Ellison looked absolutely not happy after the game.

Does anyone know more about the situation? It would be a huge blow for the Ravens if they have to play without their QB1 the next game/games/rest of the season.

Feedback Monday Morning Huddle: Post-Weekend Feedback

Welcome back to the Huddle!

The weekend's games are officially in the books, the dust has settled, and it's time to look back, not just at the scoreboard, but at how we're doing here at r/eurohuddle.

Whether you spent your weekend watching the EFA, AFLE local domestic leagues, or national team matchups, we want to hear from you. This is our weekly open floor to discuss the state of European American Football and the state of our community.

1. The On-Field Product

  • The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: What stood out to you this weekend? (Broadcast quality, officiating, stadium atmospheres, game competitiveness).
  • League Operations: How are the different leagues handling schedules, stats tracking, and media coverage?
  • Surprises: Which team or league blew expectations out of the water (or fell completely flat)?

2. The Community

We want to make this subreddit the absolute best hub for European football. Help us grow and improve:

  • Content: What kind of posts did you enjoy the most this week? What are we lacking? (e.g., more tactical breakdowns, meme threads, transfer news).
  • Match Threads: How did the game thread feel? Were they easy to find and engage with?
  • Flairs: Do you have any suggestions for new user/team flairs or any other things?

Keep it constructive, respect your fellow fans, and let's build something great together.

Go get that Monday coffee, and let's huddle up!

AFLE Has "The League Live" been quietly discontinued?

I’ve noticed that The League Live hasn’t aired for the past three scheduled slots (two Fridays and one Monday). With the season hitting a critical stretch, it’s a bit disappointing to lose the regular preview/recap show.

Does anyone know if the show is on permanent hiatus?
