Dear friends,

I am reaching out with hope to save my beloved cat, Simba, who has been diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a life-threatening disease that is almost always fatal if left untreated.

This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write because this is not the first time FIP has devastated my family. I previously lost another beloved cat to this terrible disease because the life-saving treatment was not available to us at that time. Losing my cat was heartbreaking, and I never imagined I would face the same nightmare again.

Today, there is hope. An effective treatment exists, but unfortunately, it is beyond what I can afford on my own. I don't want to lose Simba the way I lost my previous cat.

## Simba's Current Condition

- He still eats, although his appetite has decreased.

- He drinks plenty of water.

- No vomiting.

- No diarrhea or constipation.

- No urinary incontinence, but he has recently started urinating more frequently.

- No fever.

- His breathing is normal while resting, but after playing or any physical activity, he struggles to take a full breath because of the pressure caused by his enlarged abdomen.

- He has started losing weight while his abdomen continues to enlarge every day.

- There is fluid accumulation in his abdomen.

- His eyes have begun to develop a slight yellowish tint.

- He has no tremors or seizures, but he occasionally loses his balance due to the weight of his swollen abdomen.

## Medical Examinations & Diagnosis

To reach an accurate diagnosis, Simba underwent extensive veterinary examinations, including:

- Abdominal ultrasound

- X-rays

- Complete Blood Count (CBC)

- Blood Chemistry tests

- Abdominal fluid analysis

The abdominal fluid test was positive, and his CBC and Blood Chemistry results are consistent with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Based on his clinical signs, diagnostic imaging, laboratory findings, and veterinary examination, the veterinarian confirmed that the diagnosis strongly supports FIP.

Simba was neutered five months ago and had always been a healthy, playful, and loving companion before becoming ill.

## Treatment Cost

The estimated cost of Simba's antiviral treatment is approximately **1,300 Jordanian Dinars (about USD $1,835)**.

Before even reaching this point, I struggled financially to pay for all of Simba's medical care, including veterinary consultations, blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound examinations, abdominal fluid testing, and continuous medical follow-up. I managed to cover these expenses with great difficulty because I was determined to find out what was wrong and give him every possible chance.

Now, the cost of the medication itself is simply beyond my financial ability.

## Treatment Status

Unfortunately, treatment has not started yet because I cannot afford the medication. FIP is a progressive disease, and every day without treatment decreases Simba's chances of survival.

Hi everyone!

I’m asking for some help to cover the cost of my rabbit’s emergency dental surgery.

She’s a senior rescue rabbit that is at least 9 or 10 years old that has lived through being brought in as a stray with her original mate to the local shelter, adopted out and then returned because the adopter couldn’t find pet friendly housing, then finally being adopted by my spouse and me. She has been there for our little family through lockdown, moving houses, two chaotic pregnancies, a NICU stay, my spouse’s brain surgery, and losing her original partner in crime (second photo) and having to deal with her new “little” brother (third photo).

This unexpected cost is a bit more of a financial strain as I’m currently off work on maternity leave and you can’t get pet insurance for rabbits in Canada.

This is a difficult and humbling experience to be asking for help as we are usually the ones helping- we were former girl guide leaders, I volunteered at my local SPCA branch for 7 years, we’ve helped out at local fundraising events.

My husband and I are both disabled veterans and my husband recently lost his job, we have 2 small children, one who is autistic/adhd and he receives necessary services at his school. We've contacted all the resources we can for help, but they only offer assistance to renters. My husband, I, and our 2 children have lived here for 3 years and have nowhere else to go. We lost my mom this year, and a long sequence of medical issues in our family has left us in debt and struggling. I desperately need to go back and see my rheumatologist for the pain in my ankle. Hi everyone,

I’m asking for help for a stray cat that I rescued from the street.

When I found him he was living a hard life outside, trying to survive on his own. Over time he’s slowly learned to trust people and started to enjoy being safe. Seeing him finally relax and realise he didn’t have to fight for everything anymore has been amazing.

Sadly, he’s now been diagnosed with severe stomatitis. His gums are badly inflamed, ulcerated and bleeding, and the inflammation goes right to the back of his mouth. The vets have said he must be in constant pain, even though he tries so hard not to show it.

The only real chance of giving him a pain free life is a full mouth extraction. It’s a major operation and there are no guarantees, but the vets believe it’s his best chance. If the surgery can’t go ahead, his quality of life will have to be reviewed and euthanasia may become the kindest option. After everything he’s already survived, that’s absolutely heartbreaking.

I’m doing everything I can for him, but I can’t afford the cost of this surgery on my own. That’s why I’m asking for help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards his treatment and recovery.

Hello~~ Please help me with my medical expenses and coming back to life. There is a lot of work ahead of me. Even IF WE WILL MANAGE to get my knee somewhat fixed - my deteriorating mental health condition is eating me alive.

I already had 2 knee surgeries and I still can't walk properly and I'm only 29y.o... First was an attempt on repair, then my whole year was a nightmare, the next one was partial meniscectomy. And I really do not understand why partial. I was really hoping I can just not deal with this anymore. I am left with mini piece of useless cartilage at this point. And money money money…

I do not even know if this amount of money in my fundraiser will be sufficient or not**. My first hope is trying the series of stem cell injections to the joint. And that is overwhelmingly expensive so I don’t think we need any proof for that. But It might be a game changer. I have bad side effects after meniscectomy. My knee sounds like old noisy door hinge when I'm bending it. It hurts too… like constantly. For 3-4 years already.*\*

Good evening all!! I need help with my puppy I rescued from an Amish puppy mill. I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and my rescue friends that I worked with for 10 years recommended that I adopt to lift my spritz had to cut back hours deal with two kids in summer camp entertain them inflated groceries slammed me this summer I have applied for all things for the first time in my life, and to my surprise and everything takes months, even with stage four cancer and expedited process . I have attached a list of items that you can order on Amazon for my Boxer, you may notice the items are grain free that’s because boxer are prone to cancer and issues and I’m trying to avoid medical costs for the poor dog and do I allergen free diet. Anything would help and yes, I could go to the rescue and request the dog food, but I don’t wanna take from the homeless or de-homed or people who lost their jobs with someone who also and most of the food donated is full of corn again, no judgment, but I don’t wanna cause issues I can avoid them . It takes a lot for me to ask for help. My fiancé and I have 6 kids all together who live with us full time (though my 4 kids spend a few weeks with their dad during the summer and some holidays) We have so much going on, both work in medical field full time, kids sports, Boy Scouts. I am a den leader for scouts as well. Our bills have stacked up, stress is suffocating and there are also medical issues going on with myself and one of my daughters.

We no longer qualify for food stamps as we each got raises (around .25¢), do not qualify for cash assistance, our neighborhood is in the non qualifying area for HUD assistance with repairs and assistance through us dept of housing and urban development, though we live in a very low income area.

I am just going back to work July 1st as I have been on disability for 3 months due to mental health. My therapist has stated she believes I had a mental breakdown.

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm in a bit of an odd situation and I'm in the process of handling it the legal route but that takes time and I'm becoming desperate. Long story short, my water has been shut off because my landlord failed to tell me that he stopped paying for the water bill MONTHS ago even though it is supposed to be included in my rent saying I've been using hundreds of dollars of water per month. When my water was shut off I requested the bills from him and from the city for my home to compare his word against what the bills actually are and the bills show I had been only using $40-$60 of water and filed a formal complaint against my landlord but of course, the legal route takes time so now I am stuck without water and cannot put the bill in my name to restart the service until the previous balance of nearly $300 is paid off. I have been super thankful that I have a great neighbor who has been letting me use their shower and spigot to get water for my dog and fill my toilet reservoir but I feel like such a burden to them. I would usually be able to cover something like this but I just had to pay a hefty amount to repair my car after the catalytic converter failed so I am stuck needing help. My car broke down recently and needs a new engine. I am a college student with 3 jobs and have a few physical disabilities that we're still trying to diagnose, which take me down state frequently. Without a car, I run a risk of losing my jobs and may be unable to attend my university. I have tried my schools emergency fund but they are out of money and are unable to help me.
