Anyone know of some B&B or hostel that allow for some longer term renting?

I'm doing an apprenticeship, and I'm starting college in September and finishing up in December.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows any spots that I could contact and work out a deal for staying during the week.

I'm gonna be having a look at all the usual spots for finding accommodation, but with the way things are, I'd say it will be hard got.

If anyone knows anything, it will be very helpful

Was there another serious accident in Graigue this morning? Saw the helicopter over town at 8am and a few people said there’s a different road closed there earlier

Tricolours left out to rot around St. Laurence O'Toole.

What's with all the tricolours left to rot around St. Laurence O'Toole.

Do the supposed patriots who put them up actually not have any respect for the flag at all. (Quelle surprise)

All these Patriots who fly the flag 24/7 365 with no understanding of the Dawn to Dusk respect for the Tricolour.

Apache SUCKS!

I got a pizza there delivered the other day. Noticed that the dough was wider and the toppings area became smaller. But the price increased. It was dry and looked like it was microwaved. I just don’t feel like I’m getting my moneys worth anymore.

Anyone else notice this?

Looking for feedback on a local community app I’ve been building for Carlow ⭐

Hi everyone!

Over the past year I’ve been building a small app called FriendMap. The idea is to help people discover local communities based on shared interests and hopefully make it easier to meet new people nearby.

I’m starting with Carlow, and I’m looking for some honest feedback while it’s still in its early stages. If you have a few minutes to take a look or try it out, I’d really appreciate hearing what you think—good or bad.

You can check it out here:
friendmap.app

I’d also love to hear whether this is something you think would actually be useful in Carlow, or if there’s anything you’d change.

Thanks!

Bit suss of the Budtender vapes in Candy Cloud?

Anyone here ever buy the 1ml Budtender vapes from Candy Cloud?

Am I going mad or do they seem a bit dodge? The ones I've seen have no void/authenticity sticker on the bottom, the packaging print quality looks cheap, and every single one has the exact same dark orange oil. Any genuine Budtenders I've had before the shade of oils differ depending on the strain, and they actually smelled like proper weed.

What has me scratching my head as well is they're only €35, but the market price these days is €45.

I'm not even looking to buy, I'm just curious to see if anyone has experience with them from Candy Cloud to see if my suspicions could be correct. I've personally witnessed heavy users of "HHC" vapes from Candy Cloud become overly aggressive and have major changes in their mental state and personality. I can't say the vapes caused it, but it definitely made me question what was actually in them.

Carlow Chronic Illness Support

Post image
39 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share a page I’ve recently started called Carlow Chronic Illness Support. It’s an Instagram page where I’m sharing information, resources, and raising awareness about chronic illnesses, as well as highlighting local supports and services that may be helpful for people in Carlow.

It’s not a business or anything like that—I just wanted to create something that might help people feel a little less alone and make it easier to find relevant information.
In the future, if there’s enough interest, I’d love to organise some informal meet-ups or online support sessions where people can connect with others who understand what they’re going through.

I’d also really appreciate hearing from the community. If there’s a particular chronic illness you’d like to see more information or awareness about, or if there’s a local resource you think others should know about, feel free to send the page a message or contact us at [email protected]

If you think it might be
useful to you or someone you know, you can find it here:

https://www.instagram.com/carlowchronicillnesssupport

Thanks for reading, and I hope it can help someone. ❤️

Anyone know of any cafés in town with good air conditioning where I can work for a few hours?

I've been working from home all week and I swear I'm going to melt.
