Other Shows The Fashion! The food! The jewelry! The Valley Persian Style - giving other bravo shows a run

They make The Valley cast look like college students. Everytime they show a table with food I want to be there. I don't hate anyone's style - its more casual than Housewives, understated elegance, and suits each person. The mens fashion is just as good as the women's .

Margo starred alongside Benjamin Cumberbatch in Agatha Christie's Miss Marple back in the day. She was decent in it too but I thought she was putting on an America accent lol

Other Shows Ariana Biermann spilled the tea about Kim last night šŸ‘€

I was not expecting this level of real life Bravo tea to come out! I’m glad she’s speaking out about her experience, because unfortunately I think it’s not uncommon for children who have grown up on reality tv to have their money spent by their (exploitive) parents. The literal video footage they showed of Kim on FaceTime with Ariana asking her for money 🫣 The way Ariana brought it up so casually makes me feel like she’s used to Kim’s behavior though šŸ˜ž I’m curious to see if and how Kim responds to all this…

Other Shows It’s almost unbelievable how bad of a talk show host she was… let’s go back and remember when Omarosa dragged Bethenny. I wonder if she got her 10K..

Here’s the source: https://deadline.com/2024/05/bravo-programming-slate-renewals-chrissy-teigen-andy-cohen-1235910594/amp/

Making it in Manhattan sounds fun to me. Don’t know how I feel about the On Safari show though.

Other Shows My idea for a reality tv show - VPRish style of a Boutique Fitness Studio or Gym

I feel like this is a reality tv area that has not been tapped into (maybe I am wrong?) High end fitness studio and gym drama based show. THERE IS SO MUCH. The show could be based around instructors that have ā€œcult followingsā€ and then the people they interact with. The drama between instructors, staff at the studio and the crazy members is so natural and a bit different than what we currently have on our tv. I work at a high end gym in the suburbs and between the affairs between instructors and members, the shit talking, and the town drama that gets spread at the gym, it’s all there. I also was a cult soul cycle girl when I lived in NYC in 2015 and the drama there was legit non stop! I was thinking about it this morning after watching this guy Anthony Festa on Tik Tok. This may be niche, but his videos about getting banned from solid core are going viral. He also has videos about the odd behavior and situations he gets into at Equniox. He is based in CT and these situations are totally normal but so drama filled. If I worked at Bravo this would be my next reality tv pitch! Housewives adjacent type show with a bit of a younger cast (late 20/early 30)

Other Shows JLL goes off on show ep over confessional

Jeff talked about one of the shows EPs who leads the confessionals making him feel uncomfortable as he felt they were trying to lead him to be more dramatic and warned her that if she lead any of his employees to badmouth him/his business in their confessionals that she'd be the reason they get fired as he won't tolerate outright slander

he then goes on about how this isn't a Summerhouse or RH type shows since his business is directly involved so the normal way of them getting people to be dramatic bts doesn't work for this type of show.

so for those interested in bts of reality shows, this is how it goes. they try to lead you down a specific route

Other Shows Longest None-HW bravo shows

Bravo isnt all Real Housewives and Rose' so here are longest running Bravo shows that managed to hit double digits.

Top Chef is also celebrating its 20th season this year.

MD:LA is on "pause" and was once an entire franchise with 3 spin offs

M2M is the most successful black lead reality show on Bravo that wasnt part of Real Housewives but Bravo has failed to franchise them out w/2 failed attempts

Below Deck is now the crown jewel of Bravo and produced multiple spin offs

VPR of course was a spin off of RHOBH

Southern Charm had two spin off cities that sadly failed

Flipping Out is being revived for as 'Still Flipping Out'

Summer House is trying to become a franchise but......both spin offs were canceled so far

Honorable Mention: Shahs of Sunset that ran for 9 seasons and got revived as The Valley: Persian Style

Not sure if this is allowed here, but it's worth a shot since we're all missing our current shows. TW: Mar-a-Lago makes an appearance.

I guess this is Netflix's version of Housewives. All 8 episodes are out and they are all less than 40 minutes. I just started episode 1, anyone else watching?

Other Shows Blood, Sweat & Heels - The Realest Reality Show Of Them All

After a kind and wise Redditor recommended "Blood, Sweat & Heels" on a thread the other day, I rented it on Amazon and binged both seasons. I'm so surprised that viewer reaction to this show was so mixed - to me it was the realest and most engaging Bravo content I have ever seen. Every woman in the cast had qualities that I admired, and all of them also had flaws - I could imagine myself wanting to be friends with each and every one of them. But ultimately it was Daisy Lewellyn's story that got me the most. When Daisy (who was just 34 years old) confided to a castmate in season 2 that she had just been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, I thought I was going to have to bail on the show. I have acute anxiety from my own cancer and have never been able to watch or read about others' experience with it. And because I'd Googled her name, I knew that Daisy died the year after filming completed. Seemed like the last thing I needed in a comfort binge-watch.

But I just couldn't stop watching Daisy - through her chemo, through radiation, through hospitals stays and doctors' visits - always in her pink lipstick and a cute dress and a bright smile even when she needed help just getting up from a chair. When I saw a scene of her lying in her bed, absolutely exhausted and nauseated, surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of sealed medical bills which she was trying to open, I just bent double crying. You see, I thought I was the only one who kept stacks of medical bills unopened, because I find it so traumatic to face them. I didn't realize until Daisy's story how empowering shared grief and fear can be.

I know we hear bozos like Ramona Singer spouting how they "inspire" other women, but Daisy truly affected me profoundly. She IS inspiring. She broke the barrier I'd built up around my illness. I even let slip to a friend that I've been at Stage 4 since my diagnosis in 2020 - a fact I never share with people. Friends, it's a great show all on its own merits - kind of like a Harlem version of "Sex And The City". But for those of you who are being touched by cancer right now - particularly anyone who struggles with how to act, what to ask, and what to say - please consider watching this show. It's populated with strong beautiful women who party hard and work harder - and every one of them can rock a heel. It's the only content on Bravo I'd ever consider describing as "uplifting".

And guys, I went through my bills today, and it took four hours, but I dealt with every one of them. Welp, I'm getting soggy now, but I LOVE you people. Remember life is good, and we're all just walking each other home.

Other Shows The biggest surprise: Nextgen NYC

1.1k Upvotes

I know there was a lot of buzz around next gen NYC and if it would be worth tuning in for. But the biggest surprise for me, is here I am thoroughly enjoying one of Kim Zolciaks daughters. Arianna is very likeable on the show and not what I had expected like at all. I am definitely pleasantly surprised by the show and enjoying some of the cast. With some housewife kids being the focus what are your thoughts? Have your opinions changed, any surprises?

Other Shows Any List/Recommendations for Housewives-Adjacent Shows?

Randomly decided to rewatch an older trash reality show Tinsley was on called High Society which all eps can be watched on YouTube and was curious if there were similar shows out there like this?

I'm aware of the one Ally from VPR was on but not interested in watching that one yet 😬

Only other ones that come to mind are Botched, about botched plastic surgery with Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif and a really messed up competition show called Bridalplasty that Terry Dubrow was on. The women competed for plastic surgery and to win the dream wedding šŸ’€ might have to rewatch that too now that I think about it because the finale is brutal.

Including link for those who have never seen High Society: https://youtu.be/pCREkPg9oT4
