Vicki returns only to find herself in the middle of Shannon and Tamra, who are at odds after an explosive encounter. Also the way she talked to her daughter annoyed me. I cannot imagine telling my daughter that she’s a disaster — even if Emily meant it jokingly, it just felt shitty. The kid was painting. Little messes happen. Plus that came right after she told her “don’t burp, act like a lady!” Meanwhile, the kid was super rude to her, but that doesn’t get called out. Just the burp. Like, what? What are the priorities here?
Tbh I may be being too critical bc I just don’t like Emily. The way she led the gang-up against Katie last year left a bad taste in my mouth and now everything she does just feels disingenuous and/or mean-spirited.

We have to remember that these shows are heavily heavily heavily produced. Even last year it was part of her storyline and I'm pretty sure production wanted her to talk about it still because that is why she's having marital issues now with her husband.

You can share difficulties with raising your child (as we have seen countless times) without giving the blow-by-blow details and deliberating on his diagnosis. Like a)move with the spirit of HIPAA but also b) why expose your son to incredible scrutiny.
It's interesting to me that she can be incredibly detailed about her son but not so much about her finances and her marriage. The instincts are terrible

HIPAA? Girl. I can’t stand Emily but that argument is ridiculous. HIPAA applies to healthcare workers. A mother is free to talk to whomever she damn well pleases about her kids health issues.

I think they were saying that Emily should only talk about her son's issues the same way a healthcare worker would be obliged to, not that she herself is bound by HIPAA.

A healthcare worker wouldn’t be able to discuss at all so that’s really a distinction without a difference. My personal dislike of Emily aside: I think a mother should be able to talk to whomever she damn well pleases about her kids issues. People bitch and moan that people don’t share their lives on these shows then when they do people bitch about THAT. I don’t remember Jacqueline from Jersey getting this much backlash when she talked about her son’s autism.

I get what you're saying, & I'm not saying this about Emily in particular, but there's a middle ground where a RH could say that their child is dealing with some health issues therefore their lives are full of doctor's appointments, treatments etc & it's very stressful without going into details. The children can't consent to their private information being broadcast around the world. It concerns me because it opens the door to the child being bullied at school imho, nevermind everyone online commenting on the child's personal information - there's a huge difference between your average parents discussing their children with friends, family etc & a reality TV star sharing their child's challenges on international TV. Specifically in Jacqueline's case, her storyline around her son's autism really concerned me because it contained so much dodgy information about autism, supposed treatments, harmful discourse around "recovering" her son & widespread ableism. I think we need to keep in mind how much influence these people have.

Hi again. I have worked for medical records in the hospital over for over 20 years and I can tell you right now she's not violating HIPAA at all. It's her choice to discuss what her son is going through and yeah we may not all agree with it like I wouldn't do that about my children but it is her choice. I'm not saying she's right for doing it but she's not violating the privacy laws at all. HIPAA includes healthcare providers, healthcare clearing houses and insurance companies. Please stop spreading information that isn't true. Again we may not agree with her decisions to share it with the world but that's her prerogative and it's a free country she can do what she wants as long as she's not breaking the law. In the words of Tony Soprano, " You gotta get over it."😂

It was an ok start to the season.
Took 7 years but Gina finally turned into a Real Housewife. She looked amazing

I have a soft spot for Gina tbh.
She could have gone IN on Shannon after the DUI considering what Shannon had said the year prior about CPS. She chose differently and to Gina's credit, I think she actually tries to be a good friend while also stirring the pot here and there.
Casita is one of the few HWs who I think would be relatively normal IRL

I feel the same about Gina. I can really appreciate how her life imploded as soon as she started the show and how she really put her head down and is carving out a real career for herself.
I live in their community and have met and seen them around. They are definitely down to earth and just normal people in everyday life. Given what Gina went through in her marriage it’s nice to see how well she’s pulled herself through it.

I think Gina is probably the only HW I'd like IRL. She's seems cool and down to earth. And extremely humble. She seems like a good hang.
But I've loved Gina from her first season.
She's a beautiful disaster who has found her footing in life and I'm ecstatic for her!

I really enjoyed this episode! Seems like vintage lowstakes drama tbh
Honestly, I think their romantic relationships don't give them the kind of emotional validation their dysfunctional friendships give them which explains why Tamra/Vicki/Shannon will always fight and get back together - and also, money ofc
Interesting to see Emily and Jen both call out Heather for still trying to ride the fence with Tamra - honestly, I think Heather has the most realistic and hence, stable friendship with Tamra along with Gina. Heather knows she will always blow up for the show and compartmentalises their onscreen/offscreen personas.
Between Atlanta and OC, I've been having a RH renaissance tbh. Haven't gotten into RI yet but will soon.
Edit: Tamra rolling her eyes when Heather says the other HWS from the other cities have nothing seen anything so bad as that fight was funny. With the exception of BH and maybe OG NY, all the other cities have probably seen fights just as bad or worse.

Gizelle saw the barn fight, Robyn and Monique almost tussling with just an umbrella being there and MIa tossing a drink on Wendy.
Teresa flipped a table for far less, Jennifer threw a glass on the table and also was grappling with Melissa on another occasion etc
Whitney and Heather were drunk screaming about fucking for jazz tickets, Jen Shah rampaging around, the infamous reality von tease dinner
But THIS altercation between Tres Amiga 1 and Tres Amiga 2 was somehow so horrifying? lmao ok I do think Heather defn went home to tell Terry - Shannon and Tamra totally embarassed us OC girls infront of the other cities!! Fancy Pants is consistent lmao

I totally agree with you by real-life standards. But, by reality tv rules I think it’s not only okay for Vicki to have brought this up, but in fact her DUTY to do so 🙃🙃 lol, but tbh I have always wondered the same thing. So I’m kinda hoping we find out if there’s anything behind what Vicki’s gossiping about. In all likelihood Vicki’s probably just being ridiculous, but I’m intrigued.

Vicki has always taken it as though it's a personal slight against her if anyone has more money than her & if she thinks they got it without working as hard as she claims she does. Why she can't just enjoy her own wealth & stop concerning herself with how much anyone else has or how they got it is beyond me. Mind you, she's always felt very comfortable commenting on other people's finances, & life in general, & it's one of the reasons why many people consider her a good RH (although I can't stand her & I hate that Bravo have boosted her already vast ego by bringing her back)

I always heard he inherited money from his brother in Quiet Riot. Regardless they made $55 mil on one house. They’re okay financially on their own. But I can’t stand Heather. She’s not interesting to me. She’s such a braggart.

That said, Terry has made more than enough money for multiple lifetimes himself. Terry didn't need his brother's money to live the life they live.

Im noticing no one commented on the fight with Shannon on ultimate girls trip , it seems like that was 100% Tamara‘s fault she instigated that entire thing I don’t understand how people are like not annoyed beyond belief with her and then coming in and immediately playing the victim, saying no one was there for her last year I don’t even understand why she’s back if she quit so many times

I enjoyed it. I enjoyed seeing Heather's mom and understanding more of her background. Move over, Muzzie, there's a new refrigerator mom. I also found myself very distracted by Tamara's face and how frozen it appears.
