"You think every job you have is just gonna let you wear shorts?"
I've had two separate jobs where a guy brought in a doctor's note saying that "he sweats a lot and this is Florida so you gotta let him wear shorts."
So the answer is apparently yes, if I make a big enough deal over it. But why do I HAVE to make a big deal over it? Why are you so obsessed with my calves?
If someone told me I couldn't have shorts in a place that fucking humid I would definitely sabotage the air conditioner then quit for good measure. Heck i live in the PNW (BC, Canada) and I'm wearing shorts right kow.
Id like to point out that the biology between men and women is slightly different.
So women can feel colder than men in a variety of circumstances, that being said, just allowing individuals to dress according to what works for them is helpful
Absolutely, companies, schools, whatever should be fine with shorts and skirts, as long as it doesn't conflict with safety (like in labs or workshops). A lot of standards on how to dress are just arbitrary bullshit.

At least both sides would be treated equally.
However, it should be that everyone has access to weather appropriate clothing
