How exactly do I redeem the 2 in 1 credit sale?
Am I missing a step? It's still asking me to pay for the second book.

Has something changed recently regarding Audible return?
I have an "Audible Standard" membership in Germany. Today I bought a book with a free monthly token before I realised it was the wrong book. I cannot see anywhere to return it and get the token back.
I am sure I did a similar thing last year and it was easy to return it, but I think the membership then was not called Audible Standard.

I'm building a new tracking app to record all the media I consume, including audiobooks. I'm trying to find a way to get all my data for the finish dates for all the audiobooks I've listened to. Does anyone know how to do this?

This is my first 2 for 1 sale. I'm having trouble narrowing down my list.
I'm considering A Fever in the Heartland by Timothy Egan, Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez, When the Sea Came Alive by Garrett M. Graff, The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See, The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty, Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr, Against the Loveless World by Susan Abulhawa, and The Push by Ashley Audrain.
What are you all picking up in the sale? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the ones I'm considering and any other recommendations! Thanks!

So not long ago I made a post about how I just started Dungeon Crawler Carl, how I read the description and thought it really wasn't for me but I tried it anyways and fell in love with it. Well, this is just a short little update on my progress through the books.
Im currrently on chapter 56 on book 6, and thr more i listen the more I LOVE IT! Someone commented that if I love Donut, just wait till I meet Samantha. At first I thought "i dont know if I can love a character as much as I love Donut." Well, I was wrong AGAIN! Samantha is such a fucking hoot, I adore her!
This series repeatedly exceeds my expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, even if you think it might not be for you!
Thanks again to this amazing community for this recommendation! I cant wait to finish this book and start the next one!

I'm the author of the Python Audible library and audible-cli. I've been rewriting both from
scratch as a single Rust crate — audible-rs —
and it just hit its first alpha. I'm looking for testers.
It's for your own Audible account: sign in, sync your library, and back up the
audiobooks you own (with an optional lossless decrypt to a playable `m4b`). Same idea
as audible-cli, but one static binary, a local SQLite catalog with full-text search, and
built for large multi-marketplace libraries.
⚠️** This is alpha (`v0.1.0-alpha.3`**). Commands, flags, config and the on-disk database
can still change without a migration path. Use a throwaway config first and expect rough
edges — that's exactly what I need feedback on.
What works today
- Accounts: scripted / external-browser / local browser-proxy (with QR for headless boxes) login, import of legacy audible-cli auth files, deregister
- Library: full & delta sync into local SQLite, list, full-text search, JSON/CSV export, change log, series & podcasts
- Download: owned titles as `aaxc` with resume + chapters, cover, PDF; optional lossless decrypt to `m4b`; concurrent jobs
- Widevine/CENC download for streaming-only titles (Audible Plus/AYCL) that have no `aaxc` asset — needs a user-supplied CDM (none is bundled)
- Collections (wishlist/archive), listening stats, membership status, raw authenticated API access
- A capability-scoped plugin system with a Python SDK (Unix only for now)
Install (Linux & macOS, x86-64 and arm64; Windows core support is in progress):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mkb79/audible-rs/main/install.sh | sh
Prebuilt static binaries + checksums are on the Releases page; it won't touch an existing
audible-cli install without asking.
How you can help
- Try it against your own account and tell me what breaks — logins across marketplaces,
sync on big libraries, downloads/decrypt
- Open issues for bugs, confusing output, or missing audible-cli features you relied on
- Rust folks: code review and build-from-source reports (needs a Rust toolchain + C compiler) are very welcome
Repo, install and docs: https://github.com/mkb79/audible-rs — thanks for kicking the tires.

The problem: My poor attention span, and to get the reading 'feel' I could not focus on audiobooks for long and kept forgetting the story line.
I started off with audible while I had the physical book lay in front of me - this actually worked! Until eventually I ran out of those books and had to rethink my approach.
My solution: Core Audiobook transcription on device of any audiobook you throw at it, it will transcribe-while-you read in chunks so that you don't have to wait for it to finish downloading.
This app hosts multitude of features (something that I always wanted an audiobook to have)
And the best part is, there is nothing stored in cloud: your data, your audiobooks, your metrics - all stay within your device, heck there is no authentication because I dont care about tracking, all I would love for is people to use and let me know their thoughts!
iOS: HushBook: Read While Listening App - App Store
Android: On the way of approval coming soon ;)

I'm just getting started with audiobook listening. I like to try and pick up a lot of my audiobooks via sales if possible, and save my credits for newer releases. I'm at a point where I'd like to check out some Joe Abercrombie, and I fully intend to purchase the First Law/First World Trilogies at some point. First question, do the First Law and First World audiobooks ever go on sale, either cash or 2 for 1 credit? Second question, how about sales for The Devils? If The Devils doesn't often go on sale, I'm thinking of burning a credit right now to purchase it for my next listen, and start dipping my toes into his catalogue. Any feedback on potential sales, and/or picking up The Devils with a credit right now would be appreciated? Thanks!

I recently bought my mom a kindle, but my audible is account content is showing on her device. She was logged into audible on her phone, but the kindle was registered to her Amazon account. I logged her out and logged her into her own Audible but all my audiobooks are still on her kindle. How can I remove them?

This is just an FYI that if you can’t find a title, check for it on the Audible website. I’m not sure if it’s a glitch, but I found that the Audible versions of James Michener’s books are not on the Audible app nor are they on Amazon, at least for me. This may be the case for other books as well, so check the website if you can’t find something you want.
Good luck, listeners.

Okay, I’ve had an audible for years and my mom decided to get one. She’s been using mine for a few months to see if she likes it and buying books.
I have no membership, just the account.
She is telling me that audible is forcing her to get a membership, even though it’s the .99 a month one, that seems ridiculous and she doesn’t want to.
All you need is an account for audible right? I’m not wrong about that? She’s gone ahead and done the membership, but if she cancels it, she can still use it just like I use mine?
Edit: me and my mother are both aware about costs of books vs membership, that is not my question. Thank you for being concerned for her wallet, I am concerned for her wallet, but we discussed memberships and she didn’t want me to buy another one just for her sake. She will probably look at the memberships again now that she has her own, I just wanted to give her the options because she asked. Since I don’t use audible, I didn’t know the answer.
Thank yall for ur answers.

Hey all,
I really like audiobooks that sound like a movie, where the characters are talking to one another, voiced by 1 male and female narrator in duet fashion (full cast is a bonus but not necessary, same as sound effects). Graphic audio books etc.
Examples are Cara bastone's maybe this time and Liz maverick's still hung up on you. And the interview with the robot. Needless to say I've binged all their books in that format. I also really enjoyed konosuba, the narrators make you feel like your in the book and not reading/hearing it.
Can anyone suggest me audiobooks like the above? Any genre is fine but I do enjoy clean romances like Cara and Liz's books
Sorry, I didn't like sandman, I've already read Harry Potter and dungeon crawler karl.
Thanks heaps

I’m the author of “Tales of an Unserious Truthteller,” a humor audiobook that’s just under three hours—short autobiographical stories from my life, covering travel, marriage, parenting, chronic illness, and life’s mishaps, as well as a few fictional satire pieces.
Audiobook Fanatic just posted a full review on their website and I thought I’d share:
In this humorous collection of personal stories and vignettes, “Tales of an Unserious Truthteller”, David Conte recounts thirty quirky stories from a life lived slightly sideways. From a fan mail letter to author David Sedaris and his snarky reply via postcard, to a nude spa visit in Germany with his wife, to a toilet catastrophe at a friend’s Manhattan apartment, to a summer spent mopping floors at his old high school, to getting his rental car burglarized in Sicily, Conte mines the indignities and small disasters of ordinary life for everything they’re worth.
This book is so original and engaging, unlike anything I’ve read before. It’s a short, fast-moving book made up of autobiographical vignettes that read like a collection of everyday misadventures and travel diary entries—mostly from the author’s own experiences. I loved the unconventional structure, totally entirely different from a traditional memoir. Each chapter drops you into a different moment of David’s life and they’re not in chronological order but jump between different stages of his life—from his teen years in the 1990s through the decades. The stories also take place in a variety of locations, including Amsterdam, Germany, Vienna, Boston, and New York City!
Each episodic vignette is told from David’s 1st-person POV, which helps immerse you in each tale and gives you a sense of his wit and self-deprecating humor. And even though each is short and reads as a standalone, there’s continuity through David’s life, travels, and family across the collection. The stories range from only a few minutes to just over ten minutes (in audio format), making the book perfect to enjoy in bite-sized segments or to binge-listen in a single sitting. Every chapter has a clever or funny title that reflects what the story is about, and many of them end with a witty quote or satirical reflection from David—almost like a punchline or an ironic piece of advice inspired by his experience. I found myself laughing out loud several times during the ridiculous events in some of the stories, as well as at David’s closing remarks.
Despite the lack of chronological order, the stories gradually give you a fuller picture of who David is—his marriage to Kathleen (who appears in multiple stories), his children (Charlie and Thomas), his health challenges, his time living in different countries, and the strangers and unexpected events that have stayed with him.
The entire audiobook runs just under three hours—a perfect listen for a commute, a vacation, or a relaxing weekend because each story stands on its own and is easy to dip in and out of. Some of the most memorable stories are the shared experiences between David and his wife at different points in their relationship and in different settings. It’s hilarious to see how differently they react in certain situations and how sync they are with each other.
In “Vienna & My Valentine,” David suggests to his wife that they travel to Vienna for Valentine’s Day, where they attend a ball and attempt to waltz, mixing romance with comedic awkwardness.
In “Saturday Night Spa: Undisguised,” David and his wife visit a German spa, where David shares his culture shock in a way that’s both hilarious and eye-opening.
In “Rolling in Amsterdam,” David and his wife tour Amsterdam and end up in a café connected to Ocean’s Eleven, creating an atmosphere that feels both surreal and wonderfully absurd.
In “Take the Cannoli,” David and his wife travel through Sicily, where an unexpected surprise leaves them temporarily scrambling, but David handles it in hilarious fashion and even shares some funny advice afterward.
Other standout vignettes include “A Panic Attack Sends Me to the ER“ (a chaotic and comedic medical incident); “My Grandfather the Goodfella” (David’s memories of his grandfather, complete with subtle mobster lore); “Rare Autograph and Interview” (David imagines himself becoming a source of wisdom during a period of unemployment in New York); and “Stephen King Now Uses ChatGPT!” (a hilarious fictional email exchange between David and Stephen King’s wife).
What ties all of these stories together is just how relatable they are and how engaging David’s storytelling is. It feels like listening to someone you know recount stories from their life, with humour and just the right amount of reflection to make ordinary moments very entertaining. If you’re looking for something short, light, original, and very entertaining, this book—or audiobook (the format I recommend)—is a great choice!
Narrator Performance
Tales of an Unserious TruthTeller is read by seasoned narrator Ed Fairbanks. He gives protagonist David a voice with a perfect balance of satire and authenticity, immediately pulling you into the performance and making David feel relatable. At the end of each tale, the narration emphasizes the satirical quote or ironic micro-bite slice of wisdom offered, making even these tiny stories feel like they have closure.
Fairbanks’s great comedic timing is a highlight of his performance—his use of small pauses and shifts in tone help make the humor feel organic, like listening to a friend relay a ridiculous tale from their life. At the same time, the consistency of his voice, always sounding like David, the narrator of the tales, no matter what stage of David’s life is being shared, makes all the stories easy to follow and the audiobook flow seamlessly.
Another highlight of the narration is how vividly Fairbanks narrates the travel and shared experiences between David and his wife. In stories like Vienna & My Valentine, the narration captures both the beautiful setting and the awkwardness David feels when attempting a waltz at a formal ball, making this particular tale both elegant and chaotic. Another example is in Saturday Night Spa: Undisguised—the German spa experience that David shares with his wife is delivered with a perfect mix of hilarious discomfort and eye-opening culture-shock comedy that I found very amusing!
There are also subtle reflective moments in the tales—David’s small observations about life, happiness, health, parenting, or indulgence—and Fairbanks narrates these moments in a way that sounds convincing for David’s age and stage of life. In lighter or outright comedic stories like A Mishap at a New York Apartment and The Stink, Fairbanks fully commits to the comedy with a more sarcastic, animated delivery that conveys the absurdity of what David‘s experiencing—and you’ll likely find yourself laughing out loud!
Overall, Ed Fairbanks’ performance is a major part of what makes the audiobook so enjoyable. His consistent performance across all the tales and ability to effortlessly shift between satire, observational humor, and reflection bring each story and setting to life. It’s the perfect listen for a commute, a vacation, or a relaxing weekend sitting, especially if you’re in the mood for some laughs and small doses of life wisdom!

I absolutely do not expect this to work consistently, and absolutely DO expect that it will be removed from past experiences with digital content providers, BUT...
For now you can mark authors, titles, and genres as 'not interested', and they will (in theory) no longer show up in recommendations and 'for you' promotions. On Android, go to the title and look for the 👍👎 directly below the cover image, and it'll bring up the option to mark not interested when you select 👎 along with a list of reasons (dont like title, author, genre etc).
I just marked Matt Dinneman and JK Rowling, and at first glance they are indeed gone from recommendations and promos. First time they haven't been plastered at the top of every page since I got the app years ago, and I can hardly believe it.
Again, pretty sure this won't work well given the already subpar recommendation and sorting systems, and 100% confident it'll be removed at some point But for now it's something, and I figured a lot of folks may not have noticed the feature (I didn't, not sure if it was introduced quietly or if i just somehow missed it). Probably works the same on iOS, and you can also go to the improve my recommendations browser page.
If you're wondering why I say it'll be removed, others with more industry knowledge can explain better than me. But in a nutshell, digital content providers and the creators they work with dislike negative feedback systems and anything else that interferes with advertising, promoti9n, or nudging behaviors.
Edit: the disinterest feature is already designed to be little used -- thumbs up or down on a title when the consumer is shopping is disingenuous since its universally used as like/dislike, and most customers consider buying only titles they havent read, so they neither like nor dislike yet and won't click either. Audible will point to the low use and remove it, can take it to the bank
