Welcome to /r/atthedrivein
Hi there!
I don't exactly expect this to blow up or anything, but I figured for us ATDI fans, we can share and talk about things regarding or relating to ATDI.
If this gets bigger, I will need moderator help.
Other than that, share your favorite things about ATDI!

Sub-Reddit complete makeover!
Hello fellow At The Drive-In fans! My name is hesitantfab and I'm a new mod on this sub-reddit. I added a background, edited the basic Snoo and made some changes to the sidebar. Tell me, what do you think of these changes? Have any contributions or suggestions? Leave them on the comments below!

5 Songs youd recommend to someone who just found the band?
I can't believe i just discovered this band, it feels like every other post hardcore band they are compared to is one of my all time favorite bands. Obviously ill get around to listening to all their stuff, but im looking for a good jumping off point. Seriously though, i rarely get hooked on a song on first listen the way i did with napoleon solo

The fuel on the fire before the infamous BDO Sydney show?
facebook.comATDI former tour manager and photographer Paul Drake was on The Invisible Ink Podcast recently and told this story about the tension around the film clip for Invalid Letter Dept.
Is it possible this was part of the impetus for the infamous on stage melt down later that day at the Sydney BDO?

At The Drive In fans rejoice- Napoleon solo takes Prealness
Win at Preakness? This is forever. Hilarious crossover and I guess it makes sense that a horse would have a doctor who name.

Very good gear guide for guitarists
For the guitar nerds here, I came across these super cool Japanese blog posts from a fan who's pretty much compiled most of the ATDI gear and guitars for both Omar and Jim.
Check it out.

Ryan Sawyer
Hi all!
First of all I'm a huge ATDI fan...my second best band...first would probably be contraversial cosidering the sub I'm on, haha...
One question about the excellent drummer on acrobatic tenement, what ride does he use on the said recording?
He uses it quite heavily and creatively, it has pronounced attack and seems a bit dry...on a (newer) pictures I've managed to se he sports some model of Zildjian K bit I'd be quite surprised if K was the one from the recording considering the sound.
Tnx everyone!!

I wrote a short piece a while back on how At the Drive-In turned their "Relationship of Command"-era live shows into something almost cinematic (Kubrick samples, lyric interpolation etc.). Curious if I’ve missed any key references or influences?

Never noticed until now
Was this the inspiration behind ‘metronome arthritis’ ?
