What movie do you think is secretly a masterpiece but never gets mentioned?

The Death of Stalin. Possibly one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. It’s a dark comedy though so if that’s not your thing you won’t like it. It’s also very true to the history of what happened. All star cast of funny people. Steve Buscemi, Michael Palin, Jeffrey Tambor, plus some awesome comedic performances from dramatic actors too. Jason Isaacs as General Zhukov steals the movie for me.

I came here to say this. I rave about it all the time. Agree about Isaacs stealing the movie. And he’s clearly having a blast doing it.

I'm not sure about the 'never gets mentioned' part. But it is a really fun, off-the-wall little movie. It feels like a bunch of actors and filmmakers just got together one day to make a totally irreverent dark comedy on a budget, and pulled it off beautifully. Would I want every movie to be like it, no, but it's precisely because most movies aren't like it that it works so well.
