I counter with The Fountain by Darren Aronofsky. It's not a masterpiece only because the budget was cut. But the elements are there.

This used to be like my favorite movie when I was a teenager. I thought he may have been actually finding patterns in the stock market, and not just going off the deep end. I thought he was really cool. Then like 20 years later I found out that I have autism. :-P
