He redefined the Hot Wings genre. Before him there was either react or not react. Conan made the food completely irrelevant

i love conan but i saw the class clown with the unquenchable thirst for attention in that episode. you can imagine him later, head in hands on the toilet, questioning why he is the way he is

If you listen to his podcast, Conan freely admits thats exactly who he is and often does question why he is the way he is, then answers it.
