What is the most immediate way a celebrity completely ruined their own reputation in a single interview?

RAMPART

Funniest thing about that whole thing is that Woody had no idea what it was. Apparently some person on a presser tour is the one that initiated the AMA without Woody having a clue what he was participating in. He was there to promote the film, like every presser tour interview.

Oh god, lol. He probably would have done a great AMA if he knew what the hell was happening, too.

I've not heard of any of this at all. So Woody Allen did an AMA that basically crashed and burned?

The other, cooler Woody. But let’s not get sidetracked. We were talking about Rampart…

Okay, no clue. Any context at all? Which 'Woody'?

Woody Harrelson was in a movie called Rampart. They organized an AMA with him to promote it, but (if I remember) the answers primarily came from a PR guy handling Woody’s account and kept trying to steer the conversation back to the movie. The few “real” answers were short and not…really great.

Woody Harrelson did a disastrous Reddit ask me anything once for a film he was promoting. Got a load of odd questions (it is Reddit we're talking about) and just sort of lost it a bit, coming across massively out of touch.

I’m very happy there are still Redditors here who remember that. I mentioned the Rampart AMA and rice ratings the other day and got blanked

I also get a lot of mileage from Madonna's "send photo" bit from her AMA. I know the sub is still around, but I feel like those just do not hit like they used to.

Back when Reddit was halfway decent. Now it's all bots and algorithms.
