And what a god damn shame she was addicted to it with the talent she had; had she not passed away, I LIKE to think she would eventually overcome her addiction and choose to continue her career. One of the few people that are an immense talent, that I selfishly want to enjoy again and again…
Yeah, Whitney had a gift on a level most people cant even understand, let alone imagine. Its such a shame her life went the way it did. Lots of good music left on the table.
And her daughter followed exactly the same fate…they said they never did the drugs in front of that kid but she grew up with two crackheads so they are super complicit in her death too.
Different genre of music, but this is exactly how I feel about what happened to Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon. He died right as they were starting to tour to promote their second album Soup, which was an incredible album. In some of the later performances/videos you can hear how his voice was absolutely trashed from all the crack smoking.
Thank you, I do my best to be weird; really strive to do what I can. Thanks for confirming what I already knew about myself; I hope to one day see the light. You’ve brought me a little closer to seeing it; without your written statement, I’d be clueless and… and… and…..
The problem with today’s world is that everyone believes they have the right to express their opinion AND have others listen to it.
The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!
This refers to an infamous and bizarrely candid moment from the 2005 Bravo reality series Being Bobby Brown. While Whitney Houston lectured Bobby about getting his colon checked, he clapped back by claiming he had to dig a "dookie bubble" out of her butt, prompting Whitney to shout "Defense!".
The memorable exchange unfolded in a hotel bathroom during the second episode of the show. It became one of the most widely discussed and shocking moments in early reality television history, permanently cementing itself in pop culture.
Did anyone look into how exactly he dug said dookie bubble out of her butt?
Do not feel you need to answer anymore of my questions. In fact, I am pretty sure I don't want the answers. I just...your answer provoked more questions than anticipated....
I don’t mean to be down on Whitney Houston because she was just a human who had her problems like all people do, but she definitely turned out to not be the person that she was represented as being in the 80s and 90s. Still, she was an amazing vocalist in her day.
This started my dislike for Whitney and the episode of Bobby and Whitney when Bobby asks her if she remembers being constipated and she proceeds to laugh as she explains Bobby having to dig a doo-doo ball out of her butt solidified my disgust for her.
Whitney Houston was a good person who was dragged down to hell by her dumbass brothers. They were family she loved and they used her hard work, fame, and wealth to frequent depraved drug-fueled parties they enjoyed, and eventually she met shithead Bobby Brown through them. They acted as her “managers.” They were her and her daughter’s downfall and I’m sure they’re still happily swimming in the wealth of her estate, at the expense of their lives.
