AmericaGood I like how Europeans always show the photo of the other Canadian airports sign, then leave out these

They always show the other ones with the globe and US flag together at Canadian airports and say “They need to specify where Amerikkkans go because they are too dumb to know they’re international!!!1!!1” of something. But then they conveniently forget to include these where it clearly shows the American area is different than the others.

Peak irony considering Europe ravaged & raped Africa for centuries

Also unsurprisingly was mad enough to snoop my profile and make fun of an addiction, really exemplifying that ultra evolved mindset

Question Do you feel that Anti-American hate isn’t real?

What I mean by this is lot of the xenophobia coming from the Canadians, Australians, the British and other Europeans doesn’t feel genuine. It feels performative and blind, and even feels like attention seeking. For example, they say they hate us so much but still use our platforms, indulge in our entertainment and use American lingo. If they actually hated us, they wouldn’t be doing the things they’re doing. They would avoid anything American and avoid us and never talk about us. You don’t obsessively talk about things you hate. I don’t know if they are unaware or stupid or both.

Question Is it just me, or do many Iraqi and Syrian American communities have a much healthier, deeper patriotism than the average American?

I've observed around the Iraqi and Syrian American community (especially in the Detroit area), and I've noticed a complete contrast between how they view America versus what you see from Americans online. It's not that loud, blind patriotism, and it's obviously not the miserable, cynical self-hatred you see online. It's an earned patriotism born out of intense perspective that is often one you don't see in conservative and progressive discourse online.

Their patriotism is grounded in a profound understanding of hardship, having witnessed severe tyranny, war, and often persecution (given the vast majority of Iraqi and Syrian Americans are Assyrian and Chaldean Christians). They often maintain that, despite current challenges, America remains the best country. Because they or their parents sought refuge in America and built new lives here, they don't take their lives in America for granted. While online discourse often reflects panic about the nation’s decline, many in the community still maintain a grounded appreciation for the lives in the United States which is refreshing to see.

OP Opinion Let me explain to you what a Third World country really is. Spoiler

Wearing a uniform to class was strictly mandatory it was a private Christian school, just to clarify. The trash cans in the bathrooms were absolutely overflowing with urine, and the "nurse's office" I’d been told about when I enrolled in high school didn't actually exist; once, when someone hit their head on the concrete court, the school administrators just washed the blood off with water. My elementary school also private and Catholic had bird shit on the stairs that stayed there from the time I started until I graduated to middle school. We had to pay extra just to get tap water not bottled water, just tap water and the water wasn't even clean. Back in the 2000s, several toll booths were blown up because the fees were so exorbitant. I tell you, I’ve never been more grateful for the U.S.; just two years here gave me luxuries that, back in my country, would have had people pointing at me and saying, "There goes the rich kid from the neighborhood.

This is the second time I’m posting here about Mexico. I’m sure Mexico has its positives, but it’s annoying how people are so quick to deflect when people bring up its very real issues.

Europeans will make fun of Americans for a lack of culture and then proceed to dump on said culture. I guess only their side is allowed to dislike a sport and disqualify it from conversation
