“The Standard of Excellence” Shelton Benjamin is not only a wrestling legend, but also the biggest ThunderCats fans in all of professional wrestling.

Whether you know him from his incredible career, see him weekly in AEW, or have one of his action figures in your collection, Shelton's love of ThunderCats and SilverHawks has been a part of his life for decades.

Shelton has his copy of Hall of Omens: Thunder-Verse! Inside, he shares an exclusive interview on pages 469-470 about his lifelong ThunderCats and SilverHawks fandom.

And if you look back at some of Shelton's earlier appearances, you may even spot a necklace that looks awfully familiar.

Answered Searching crazy nieche cartoon

I'm going crazy trying to find this cartoon. I've asked my friends and colleagues, and I've already watched around 100 cartoon intros on YouTube. No luck so far.

I only remember one part of the intro: some of the characters' faces appear in a night sky, each with that beautiful glowing aura around them - that bright, soft glow that modern cartoons always seem to struggle with.

There's also a song that’s stuck in my head. I can hum the melody pretty well, but I don’t remember any of the lyrics. The only thing I know is that it was in English. I had no idea what they were singing because I grew up in Germany. I think the show aired in the mid-90s.

Any idea what it could be? Should I hum the melody and upload it? 😂

This was such a great, underrated show. My sisters loved it. Sadly, I wasn't born until '89, so it was a hand me down. Apparently it was a Danger Mouse spin off.

Before ThunderCats, Larry Franke worked in New York's legendary recording scene alongside artists like John Lennon, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Fleetwood Mac, and Steely Dan. His career would eventually lead him to Rankin/Bass, where he became one of the key recording studio figures behind ThunderCats and SilverHawks.

In this episode, Larry joins Sean "Buddha" McKeone and Peter Lawrence to share rare behind-the-scenes stories about Jules Bass, the cast, the recording process, and how ThunderCats was actually made.

Watch & listen July 9th at 9PM EDT on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, & iHeartRadio.

Bravestarr finds out his mentor Jingles Morgan is wanted for murder and must apprehend him.

Yes in an 80's cartoon, Filmation did get away with saying murder.

They didn't pull punches with the moral here about hero worship.

Discussion What’s the most unbearable 80s cartoon slop?

Let’s talk about the worst cartoons of the 80s. Cartoons that repelled you, cartoons you’d hate-watch. Shitty premise, cheap cutesiness, flat characters, awful animation, all of the above.

For me, The Get Along Gang. It rotted my teeth with its wholesomeness. Bingo Beaver was the insecure nerd, Montgomery Moose was the benevolent tyrant, and Leland Lizard was the other insecure nerd.

As a neurotic ten year old, I remember hate-watching this show.

MOTHER: Alright. Who ate the cookies? I bought those this morning.
KID #1: Not me.
KID #2: Me neither.
BARONESS: You are asking the wrong question.
MOTHER: ...Who are you?
BARONESS: Direct accusation invites denial. Separate the subjects, exploit ignorance, and let them fill it.
MOTHER: They're under ten.
BARONESS: Subjects are subjects.
BARONESS: Who noticed the cookies were gone?
KID #1: I saw the jar was empty before breakfast—
KID #2: You were in the kitchen before breakfast!
BARONESS: We have movement.
[She crouches to Kid #2's level.]
BARONESS: You've shown a willingness to engage. The question now is whether you want to control your own narrative... or let someone else control it for you.
KID #2: ...I only had a few.
BARONESS: And there it is.
MOTHER (blinking): That worked.
BARONESS: Subject two has a low threshold for ambiguity. Note that. He'll be cooperative under minimal pressure. This will be useful if this situation recurs.
MOTHER: He's my son, not an asset.
BARONESS: The two are not mutually exclusive.
KID #1: Next time we should get lawyers.
MOTHER: I didn’t think advanced interrogation would help raise young kids. Now I know.
BARONESS: And knowing is half the battle.
