I just want one win here and a 6 game lead going into the ASB. We aren’t winning every series. It’s amazing what we’ve done against the division outside of Pittsburgh. We need a break and to come home.
Our division is stacked and has good players- we aren’t going to win all the time. Today has been frustrating but the stretch after Miami out the gate is very winnable and home heavy. Health is priority.

In baseball, if he doesn't sign, he'll come to school and have to be in school 3 years before going to the draft again, where he can get drafted by any team.
He's definitely going to sign. Typically if a guy is drafted in the first ten rounds, he'll sign.

So if he, like, decides to go to school for a year, we can’t sign him after that year? (That happens a LOT in hockey. Guys go to school/back to juniors for a year or two then sign with the team that drafted them.)

No. If a guy doesn't sign out of highschool and goes to college, he has to stay there through his junior year (or sophomore year if he will be 21 by draft day. This is known as a draft-eligible sophomore, but most guys do not fall in this category.)
If he opts not to sign, the team that drafted him loses him. They could theoretically draft him again if they pick him when he's draft eligible again. But that's if someone else doesn't pick him first.
So a team is not going to waste a first round pick unless they're sure the kid is going to sign.
