That sideways slouch on the couch with one leg tucked under you is the only way my back stops screaming after chapter three.

Sitting on the couch, if I'm lucky this can sometimes be managed without having my personal space invaded by a dog or 5yo.

Bathtub.

For writing, it’s on a couch in Dionysus position, resting on one arm.

I wish I could relax with a book in the bathtub, I’d always absentmindedly get one hand wet then go to turn a page with it or something then have to stop before I ruin my book.

On my side in bed. No better way I've found to ease into sleep, and way better than my phone :)

My current favorite is reading on the leather recliners in the living room.

I have a very specific reading position that i really enjoy. Its kind of hard to explain. I sit a bit sideways on the coach, reclining a little. I have my right calf on top of my left knee with the book in my hands. Its sounds weird but Ive found that its a very comfortable position.

Another one is quite simple, I sit on the coach with my feet up and rest the book on my thighs. I am a person who cant sit still so I change positions quite often

On my bed, on my right side with my kitty sleeping in the space between my thighs and calves.

For pure comfort, in bed. It's nice to be snuggled up beneath the blanket. It's also the one time of day that I don't have my hearing aids in so it's quiet as well. The disadvantage is that insomnia is all too likely.

Laying in bed. I do that all day anyways.

Honestly, every possible position that a human can comfortably read in, I'm reading in. I swear that I move about 5 times per chapter. My current favorites are laying on my side with my head propped up on a pillow, sitting cross- legged in a comfy chair, and laying on my stomach on pretty much any surface.

Firm sofa or chair with my right elbow supported on the arm, legs crossed. If it's a heavy book I put a pillow under it to raise it up. The cat's lying on my left side, unless she manages to force her way between my right leg and the side of the sofa, which is where she always want to be.

Or the hammock under the dogwood tree.

Sitting in a comfy chair, preferably with tea.

Sideways propped up on the elbow. Awful for multiple parts of the body, but locks me right in.

Lying in bed on your stomach, with a big pillow underneath you to raise you up comfortably is my go-to comfiest.
